What do you know about long suffering?
Have you ever met an accident or disease?
Have you ever fought immense pain and speechless agony?
A state in which tongue is mute and arms or legs are partially locked
It's like being trapped a mentally functional mind in a body hard to move
It's like being a prisoner in your own body.

Where there is life there is breath and where there is breath there is death.
More hours spent speaking with him than anyone else
Needing good advice and wisdom, - he offers a wealth
Paths crossed first, at thirteen, he was dating my mother
Subsequent twenty five years see friendship as no other
My father had dissolved overseas, no influence on my life
'Uncle' John took daunting job of teaching me how to drive
His honest recount of his younger life, experience of LSD
Described the risk and tumult I assessed was not for me
As an adult, through burgeoning occurrences, able to listen
To current worries, angst Uncle John feels, give my wisdom
Throughout my pregnancy with Opal, discarded by her Dad
John, my dear crutch, shared my woes, truest support I had
Eight years later, gladly we remain empathetic companions
Phone calls compile moreish hours, kin without comparison

WHAT HAPPENED?
A LONG-TERM MARRIAGE AFTER DECADES OF YEARS
JUST IN A RELATIONSHIP
NO GENUINE VACATIONS
NO WALK IN THE PARKS
A LONG TERM MARRIAGE
WASTED IN THE DARK?
SOME GREAT DAYS IN THE PAST
AS EARLIER IN THE DAYS
SOME BAD DAYS OVERWEIGHED THE GOOD
A MIXTURE OF EMOTIONS
CARRIED ON BY FEELINGS
IS IT JUST A MARRIAGE EXISTING?
OR, NOT REALLY LIVING?
PEACE, LOVE, JOY
PRAYERS FOR THE TWO
FINDING LOVE AGAIN
IS THE MARRIAGE ENDED?
HURT AND PAINS
CALLING OUT OF NAMES
GRIEF AND UNFORGIVENESS
FOR THE ONE
IS IT TIME TO MOVE ON?
BOTH HAS LEFT
IN AN UNKNOWN WAY
A RING REPLACED
A DIAMOND IS GIVEN
NOW ONE IS REALLY LIVING.
LIFE GOES ON
NO TIME TO WASTE

HAPPINESS, JOY, PEACE WITHIN
