oh clouds that drift and hover above
a journey a trajectory and path unknown
ocean waves battering thundering to shores
oh woods where tangled vines creep birds sing
birds of many species singing with joy each day
flowers wild and unruly twining and creeping
winds with their constant solemn music
rain that the forests and woods drink
blue water in ponds streams rivers and lakes
oh creatures that sleep in hollows safe from harm
sun in the azure sky shining on earth
moon up there trustworthy for night dreams

For example, take my wife—Please!
Who was that lady you were dancing with?
That was no lady—That was my wife!
I bought my husband a chair for his birthday
He won’t even let me plug it in!
I told my doctor I have five es
He said—My god! How does your underwear fit?
I said—Like a glove!
I found my best friend in bed with my wife
I said Lenny! I have to—but you?
Just got back from a pleasure trip
Took my mother-in-law back to the airport
I told my father, no one likes me
He said—Don’t worry, everyone hasn’t met you yet
That man’s nuts! Grab ‘em!
Money is relative—
I have less money than any of my relatives
I’m on a sea food diet
I see food—I eat it

In New York someone gets
stabbed every 52 seconds! Poor bastard!
I wondered why the baseball
kept getting bigger. Then it hit me.
What animal can jump higher than a house?
Any animal houses can't jump.
How long is a Chinese name.
An apple a day keeps the doctor away
but an onion a day keeps everyone away.
No matter how much you push
an envelope will always be stationary.
A picture is worth a thousand words
but takes longer to load.
Change is inevitable except from
a vending machine.
Don't judge a book by it's movie.
What do you call a fish with no eyes?
A fsh!
What happens when you throw a green
rock into the red sea? It gets wet.
Always speak well of your enemies,
after all you made them.
Working in a mirror factory is something
I can see myself working.

“Hair today, gone tomorrow” an old expression
Another is “Never to late to make a first impression”
Old sayings you hear
While having a beer
With a bunch of buddies and acting like adolescents

Sad is the heart so full of care
Of tomorrow's what will,will be,
Upon his sleeve, all life does wear,
For all to see
Cast down, choking with eyes that blear
No words can comfort or make free,
Thought frozen in yesterday's fear,
That none can see.

I'm sure most of you
are much too modest to consider
yourselves "heroes," but that's exactly
what you guys are, heroes.
Thank you for all you do
every single day. You're intrepid soldiers
of war, not fought on distant lands,
in an actual battlefield, but in hospitals.
It doesn't make you any less heroic
than American soldiers that do, however.
You nurses and doctors fight to save lives
of COVID-19 victims day-in, day-out
Six of one half a dozen of the other!
Thank you for storming into the trenches
risking your lives fighting such an insidious,
unseen enemy every day.
You put other people's lives ahead
of your own, and your bravery and hard work
are not lost on anyone. America is infinitely
grateful for your tremendous sacrifice.
You deserve all the glory and encomiums
coming your way! Thank you for being
the life-saving heroes that you are.
Keep up the good work!

BORN ANEW
When Spring comes again
not the warmth..nor the rain
not the yellow ..nor the green
not the grass or verdant scene;
not the winds or blossom bright
not the showers or more daylight;
but hearing creation's new birth
shouted aloud in sky and earth.
Format inspired by a Tim Dudley-Smith hymn
