Midnight Prayer

Get me back my sleep, oh God.
I am decaying day by day,
mentally, physically… in innumerable ways.
Neither can I cry, nor can I write.
I don't know what fight
is going on in my mind every day.
Oh God, bring back my normal days!
Am I an insomniac,
or do I simply like the calm of the night this way?
It's 2:29, and I am not fine,
dwindling somewhere in between.
Oh God, get me back my sleep anyway.

Turning Loneliness into Solitude

Do you know how frustration looks like?
Investing two years of your late twenties in someone
just to find out that the person has abandoned you for his family,
with whom you dreamt of building a family.
Do you know what tiredness feels like?
That you are in your early thirties
and so drained out
that you don't want to start with "Hey, what's your favourite colour?" once again.
Now you shall have to turn your loneliness into solitude.
Now you shall have to tell your desires to transform into a celibate
and just wipe away all the wishes to be a bride, to be a mother, to start a household so neatly,
as if you never desired them!
Just because you don't want to start anything
which will lead to futility.
Not anymore.
No more patience left to judge whose fault it was!

The Weight of Ashes

As your memories fade,
I also want to shed
those moments from my mind
which I cannot regain.
Why do I hurt myself again?
Why to carry this pain?
If you cannot be mine,
then why should I confine
memories that only give me numb pain?
If you can live without me,
why should I not let those memories flee
to the unknown,
from where they can't find a way again on their own
and can't make a habitat in my mind again?
Tell me, if you are living happily without me,
why are your memories causing such pain?
Oh Almighty, hold me one more time,
give me strength.
Wipe away all those painful moments from my mind
that are causing strain.
If he cannot be mine,
then why should I carry such pain?

A wound called trust

You abandoned me in my most needy days:
the way in summer, people curse the sun's rays.
The way people forget an umbrella after the rains.
The way people throw the band-aid after healing from the pains.

Tell me which hurt more, rejecting at first,
or after winning the trust
stabbing on the back
such a way that you can never trust the word 'trust' again?
Tell me if not love, then what causes such pain?

Payoff from life

My windows were wide open.
I learned to think broader,
I used to see the broader picture through my windowpane.
My wider views never taught me to squint my eyes
when it was time to look through others' spectacles.
I felt human bonds were made in paradise:
thus I evoked all the pain.
Failing to endure all the mental tortures from humankind,
doubts are evoking in my mind;
I don't know if that was just a green screen behind my windowpane!

Self-doubt

The bonfire wasn't comforting me anymore,
it was burning me inside out.
I thought it was odd, how it could be!
Maybe it's all my fault for not being able to tolerate the warmth
and blaming this comfortable symmetry.
I return back near,
leaving my doubt and fear.
This time, ashes were rising above,
but I kept my thoughts grounded.
Those all were darkening me from outside,
still, I was holding myself tight,
as I thought it was my darkness that was luring me.

The Prayer That Asked for Storms but Found Eternity

In a world where many hearts break in silent pain,
I knew a boy untouched by sorrow or rain.
Born into wealth where wishes arrived before thought,
Double the dreams were always what he got.
Yet he whispered to God, “Give me chaos, give me despair,”
Knocking on heaven’s door with an unusual prayer.
But nothing ever changed, no darkness came through,
So he believed the skies were empty—no God he knew.
At twenty, life shattered—his world fell apart,
Riches faded to silence, echoing deep in his heart.
Yet instead of tears, he smiled and said, “Thank you,”
For in losing everything, his faith finally grew.
For money brings moments, a flicker of light,
But peace and belief can rewrite your whole life. ?

Nailing Jell O To A Wall

I brought my hammer full of hope,
A pocket lined with careful plans,
Determined I would finally cope
With slipping dreams through restless hands.

I chose a spot upon the wall,
A place where things were meant to stay,
But what I held refused that call—
It wavered, trembled, slid away.

Each time I tried to pin it there,
It shivered loose, it would not bind,
Like fragile thoughts, like whispered air,
Like moments racing through the mind.

They told me, “Hold it, make it last,
Control the shape, don’t let it fall,”
But some things never can be fastened—
Like Jell O pressed against a wall.

And in that struggle, breath grew tight,
My hands grew tired, my heart unsure,
Was I too weak, or was I right
To chase a thing I can’t secure?

So I stepped back and let it be,
No hammer raised, no desperate fight,
And in that quiet, suddenly
It shimmered softly in the light.

Not everything is meant to stay,
Not every dream must be controlled,
Some truths will always slip away—
Uncaptured, fluid, uncontrolled.

And maybe peace is simply this:
To lose the need to make it all
Stand still beneath a forceful wish…
Like nailing Jell O to a wall.

what is wriggling under my bare foot?
oh goodie a wasp
hooray hooray
in the bedroom on my carpeting
lovely
I used a piece of cardboard and flipped it outside onto the porch
my puppy went after it
another life lesson for him

Premium Member IMPORTANT LIFE LESSON

May we be blessed to understand
one of the most important lessons of life
that is perhaps the farthest reaching:

How as children or parents
we should never stop our learning
because life…
will never stop its teaching.

Let me tell you my story
Not that it covers me in glory

Looking to be ferried across a river
A frog took me on board as long as I stung him never

Halfway across we were chatting happily
When the temptation to bite his neck came snappily

And loth to miss such a chance
My fangs plunged him into his death dance

Just in time to reach the other side
Before his strength ran out and died

So my lesson to all with a power to use
Never turn up your nose and an opportunity refuse.

In the end truth prevails

Life Lesson

Sometimes, one should accept
That gain is not only in terms of money
But in terms of experience;
A lesson that could help him sail
Along the oceans of storms
For the rest of his life.

It is not about not falling down
For no one is perfect
But it's about standing up after each fall
And finding the courage to face tomorrow
And sail against the tide
No matter how stormy and dark his path could be.

Greed

Those who wish for everything, discover nothing.
Those who seek the most find the least.
Those who desire recognition learn ignorance.

Those who pursue solidarity obtain peace.

Life Lesson

Get it together!
You cant live with anger.
Life has tolls, ups and downs.
The heart should not be bitter,
but sweet and full of love.
Laugh often,
Hug, kiss, gather and show compassion.
Live not of the worldly things,
live with what makes you heart full.
As a bluebird sings and the leaves blow,
Hear the beautiful noises as the weather changes.
