Lethal

You were my drug,
I told myself I couldn’t get addicted,
But I did,
And now I can’t stop the withdrawal.
They warned me about you,
They said you were deadly,
I didn’t listen to them,
But I should have.
You were poison,
But you tasted so sweet,
I didn’t know I was dying,
Until it was too late.
I should’ve known you’d hurt me in the end,
All of them do,
Each and every one,
You are no different.
You intoxicated me,
Altered my reality,
And my perception,
You were the most lethal drug.

More Lethal Than Poison

They warned me of alcohol, 
saying it would wreck my liver, 
They warned me of cigarettes,saying they'd choke my lungs, 
They warned me of pills, 
saying they'd numb my mind,
They warned me of needles, 
saying they'd ruin my veins, 
They warned me of powders, 
saying they'd stop my heart, 
They warned me of smoke, 
saying it would blind me, 

But no one warned me about you. 
No one told me you'd destroy everything. 
No one told me you'd leave scars deeper than any drug could. 
You were the deadliest addiction.

       a fearsome eye
         scans the sky

The More Lethal You Are The Less Dangerous You Are

The more lethal you are, the less dangerous you seem,
Your silence a whisper, your actions a dream.
In shadows you tread, with a delicate grace,
Your power concealed behind a calm face.

The tempest within, a storm held at bay,
Yet peace in your eyes, keeps chaos away.
A blade in the dark, swift and unseen,
Yet mercy your mantle, a tender sheen.

A paradox lives in your gentle command,
The strength of a lion, the touch of a hand.
Your lethal potential a quiet refrain,
A force held in check, lest havoc remain.

The more lethal you are, the less you must show,
A guardian of peace in the world’s ebb and flow.
For power contained is power redefined,
The more lethal you are, the less dangerous the mind.

Most Passengers On This 12-Hour-Flight Are Watching Lethal Weapon

I noticed whilst walking up and down the thing
What's going on here I thought
I had been given a middle seat
In what I consider to be the worst flight I have ever experienced
The two passengers either side of me were trolling
Ghosting me 
Two Count Drunkulas in the dark
I got up and sat in one of the flight attendant's seats
I needed leg room and the final frontier
I needed me, myself and rock star parking
Like a suicidal cop
The window seat bloke started shaving
A nudge war after landing to hurry it up 
As he was gagging for a cigarette
I was so mentally fatigued 
Cream crackered and shagged 
That I forgot to make this poem a calligram 
As was originally intended
You know, in the shape of the fuselage
Oh what genius
I told friends
They asked what other films were available on the flight
Lethal Weapon 2 I replied

Lethal Creature

It is just a tiny Mosquito.
Must keep an eye on those.
They carry Deadly Diseases.
Inside of their Hypo nose.
The world's most lethal Creature.
Thus, sadly many are Exposed.

Lethal Cruise

We have refused to hearken to her plea, 
Our insatiable desires have spurred our spree,
We have jettisoned her cry,
We only look and sigh,
We've been taken over by our cravings,
Pushed overboard by our strivings, 
We journey towards a mammoth empire,
Stifling her free course to respire,
We desire a wholesome stress-free lane,
To her detriment and bane,
She stands listless and frail,  
As we go on our splurge sail,
She said it is an equal and opposite reaction, 
As some have had the premonition,
We're on a lethal cruise,
We're wearing unfit shoes,
A stitch in time saves nine.

Very Bad Girl

"Very Bad Girl" read the words
Boldly on the lady's sweater!
Nothing in her deportment or deeds
Took the story any further.

Only, I was left to wonder
Why she would've bought the garment
Unless, of course, it was bought by another,
The real owner of the statement.

I found myself wondering why it was
That one saw no "Very Good Girl",
But recalled that being thus
Was then actually being a pearl

Therefore, "Very Bad Girl" makes sense,
Hoping that it's not literal.
It should be seen through that lens
For otherwise it is truly lethal!

Corruption As Lethal As Corona Virus

Corruption and Covid 19 both a virus raiding our planet,
Only socialism works as in Finland in Scandinavia,
Realistically corruption has bankrupted countries, quad tripled poverty
Ruined our God given bountiful earth, brought it to its knees
Utopia that is just a mere word no country has it,
Perhaps Iran and America will go to war and we get caught in the middle,
This corruption has become insane, Russians itching to do the same,
Integration of all colours creeds and nations essential, poor and wealthy alike
Only severe repercussions will result if we don’t take action now,
Nothing seems to erase this filthy greed which has become so obtrusive.
