Kya keemat hai khushi ki, kabhi socha hai tumne?
Ek muskurahat ke peeche kitni tooti hui ummeedein hoti hain.
Ek pal ki roshni ke liye,
Kayi andheron se guzarna padta hai.
Khushi milti hai...
Magar muft nahi.
Kabhi apni khamoshi bechni padti hai,
Kabhi kisi apne ki yaad mein raat bhar ro kar
Subah ek jhooti hasi pehnni padti hai.
Zindagi ke bazaar mein,
Jahaan har jazba bikta hai,
Wahan khushi bhi ek sauda hai
Jis mein dil ka sukoon reh jaata hai rehnuma ke bagair.
Log kehte hain —
"Khush raho, khud pe fakhr karo!"
Par kaise bataun,
Main har din thoda thoda bikta hoon
Apno ki khushi ke liye...
Aur apni khushi kho deta hoon.
Aankhon mein chamak ho ya dil mein toofan,
Dono ka hissab nahi hota.
Khushi ka hisaab koi nahi rakhta,
Bas dard ginna aasan hota hai.
Toh poochta hoon tumse —
Kya hai khushi ki keemat?
Ek wafadar dost?
Ek sachha pyaar?
Ya sirf ek lamha jahan tum
Apne hone ka matlab mehsoos karo?
Main toh ab bhi talaash mein hoon...
Na kisi dukaan mein mili,
Na kisi dua mein...
Par har aansu ke peeche
Ek chhoti si umeed chhupi rehti hai—
Ke shaayad kal... khushi sasti mil jaaye.

Hard put as *****Sapiens to prove,
Far off left have we oh, home of love.
Lose virtue, watch in vain Sita’s woes,
Jatayu long dead, scarce can we move.
__________________________
Translation |05.09.2024| history, women, world
Poet’s note: This is second in the three-piece series on the theme. It depicts what happened in the epic Ramayana. When Sita was abducted by Ravana, Jatayu, the vulture king, challenged him and sacrificed his life. This epigram says we have lost Jatayu in us in this dark age. The original in Gujarati as transliterated (in PS-acceptable way) is as under:
Chalaayu chhej nahi, prem naa gharma javaayu chhej nahi,
Museebat ej chhe, dvaar thi paachhaa valayu chhej nahi,
Dharma ne khoyaa karo, door thi sita-haran joyaa karo,
Biju to thaaye shun, aapani andar Jatayu chhej nahi.

It's disgraceful, the way you call it love,
The look you give me when It's not my face you hope to look at.
Petals, you name them after me, scatter them on the ground.
Be honest, was it my name, do you know for a fact?
These sonnets you write for me,
Never was I the muse.
Perhaps you just like sonnets too much.
Perhaps someone else was your prose.
It's disgraceful, the way you call it love.
People don't have a heart anymore, once they give it away,
Is that why my gift was an empty box?
Yeh ishq ki tauheen hai,
Hum iss tarah na dekha karo.
Jo phool humare naam nahi kar sakte,
Hum par is tarah faika na karo.
Agar yeh lafz likhte nhi humare liye,
To aise muft mein mushayra na karo,
Yeh ishq ki tauheen hai,
Kisi aur ka dil humein diya na karo.

It is not possible that the former prime minister can meet army COAS
at the night and then call him a"traitor in the day"..
If the commander-in-chief is a traitor then why did you meet him in hiding??
Meeting [him] is your right but it cannot be possible that you meet at night
and call [him] a traitor in the day,”The military was called "neutral and an animal"The ISI chief said that the military has been under a lot of pressure since March But they decided to limit themselves to its constitutional role..
'If COAS is traitor,then why was he praised?'
"PTI government offered army chief an extension..
If the commander-in-chief was a traitor then
"why was he praised endlessly in the recent past".
"If the army chief is a traitor in your eyes,
why did you want to give an extension in his term,
why do you still meet him secretly,"

Way way back on a kitchen shelf
Was a bottle sitting by itself.
It was Karo syrup, 1 pint size
But to use it now, I would not advise.
For the label, stamped with a “Buy Before”
Had a date no home cook could ignore.
If you took a guess, I can guarantee
You’d not choose “November ’83.”
Yet I tell the truth, though it sounds absurd
(The specific date is November 3rd)
And the price tag reads “a dollar five” –
That’s before some readers were alive!
Did I ever use that stuff to bake
Rice Krispie treats, a pie or cake?
If so, whatever was the sweet
Was not deemed worthy to repeat.
That Karo syrup sat and sat
In its apartment habitat,
Discovered now, by circumstance;
So will I use it? Not a chance!

Grams The Menacing And Hot Pot where's my breakfast- -
Whose pot is that? I think I know.
Grams is quite happy cooking yo!
Full of joy like a vivid rainbow,
I watch her frying homemade biscuits Oh.
She gives her pot a shake,
And laughs until her belly aches.
The only other sound's the break,
Of distant waves outside kitchen window birds awake.
The pot is menacing, hot and deep Gram where's my breakfast,
But she has promises to keep,
After making cakes and lots of sleep.
Sweet dreams come to her cheap surely they last.
She rises from her gentle bed,
With thoughts of Karo® syrup and pancakes in her head,
She eats her jam with lots butter on her bread.
Ready for the day ahead.
Lastly with bacon and grits and gravy, thanks ya gram

If I were your brother and you took ALL my candies treats;
You would have eaten, half no ALL of my candy that wouldn’t be sweet;
You see sometime you’ll have to close your eyes and go asleep;
I would creep into our room and stick needles in your feet;
I would take a cup of Karo syrup pour on your eyes;
I would take a gallon of water spill all over your bed now you rise;
I would get the sack of flour and pour it on ya
I would snicker and giggle ha ha ha!
I would place the wrappers of those candy treats;
Throw them all over your sheets, bet you won't ever again eat my treats;
If I were your brother I wouldn’t tell dad or mother
I jest git even…ha ha ha ha ha!
Ooh!!
MAMA!!!

(Pal Pal Dil Che Passe)- have you ever felt the velvet heart of love
(tu tu hai woi) or chased a star to the other side of the moon
(saagar kinaar) did you ever lose yourself in a moment of joy
(wada karo) held the hand of romance as you spoon
Valentine, you arrived like the wind in my hair by the sea
(Aise Na Tum Tecko) are you a flower dancing in the sun
(roz roz anchon tale) did the piano play softly for you ?
(jann kia bat) or string your guitar to the swing of love?
(Man kyun behaka) rocking to and fro like mother's cradle
Valentine, you arrived like the wind in my hair by the sea
(Bahon Ke Darmiyan) when the sky skirts the night and sleeps
(Tu Hi Re) do you waltz in the on accord with the light
(Dibare Mere) do you draw in the vibe of the soul & romance
(Samme Yeh Kaun Aya) hold on to valentine hearts at a glance
Valentine, you arrived like the wind in my hair , like the sea.

'MY FIVE SENSES'
O' the scent of you, my senses view...
My five senses, my five senses, a specific sensory nervous system,
As I believe I smell olfaction you again with my nose and your smell is grand
And I see your beauty of you with my eyes and your sight vision
I hear the birds audition singing your name over and over again and again
I taste you gustation your liken your lips, your mouth the taste of Karo syrup
I touch you somatosensation you are soft as the woven cotton-silk inserted
So I smell you ah!.... the aroma
And I see you.... O' your beauty
So I hear the smoothing sounds
And I taste of you like the bird does a flower
So I touch you ever so gently as a misty rain shower
My senors tension pretentious forensic
