Ex-boyfriend, I'll call him Jermaine
His farting just drove me insane
Foul farts how they stank
oh boy it was rank
twas like standing by a blocked drain
Because he would constantly toot
I vented I’d give him the boot
I said we are parting
Just can’t stand your farting
my airspace you always pollute

Tramadah was trying to explain
Halloween to her black cat, Jermaine.
Two legged creatures go house to house.
May try to catch you. You could cough up a mouse.
It is most probably best if we stay hidden inside.
After trick-or-treating, we’ll take broomstick for a ride.
They sound terrifying her pet black cat said.
What is wrong with them? Are they zonked in the head?
A tiny bit nutty and confused if you really want to know.
They carve out pumpkins and make their insides glow.
I’ll hide in the darkest corner, way back under the bed.
These humans sound AWFUL Jermaine the cat said.

The Wages of War
Sewing machine,long idle, gathered dust
Cannot recall a time it played a role
To create all crisp army uniforms
And send off all young warriors to their death
When they had died more hours to sew
Not know their names just the quantity cost
Lost was the cause just a bottom line theme
for years to come and the end of all dreams
The war years seem like only yesterday
I greedily persued my fruitless task
My wealth had grown as well as my girth
Did not take note of those warring times but
I lost two brothers and Uncle Jermaine
Then my health had waned as well as my brain
Forgetting the heroes who died in vain
I lived in a vacuum and lost the spark
The candle sputtered, spent and all was dark

If you say my eyes are beautiful,
it's because they look at you!
your tender glance, your gentle gaze,
they warm me through and through!
Crystals blazing in the darkness
light my journey home to you,
bring me close to your perfection,
dazzle me with sparkling hue!
Diamonds shining, ever blinding,
until I can scarcely see,
beacons of your grace, your glory,
thrill my being constantly!
If you say my eyes are beautiful,
it's because they look at you!

My life was so rugged and blue
Until God blessed me with a gentlemen like you,
I stop believing in love, love so kind and so true
I started back believing the day I laid eyes on you.
I was so skeptical this time around
Oops! I'd better watch it I don't wanna fall down,
Down the road of loneliness and despair
Hmmm....will I ever find someone who really care?
Indeed, it did take a long, long time
But who would have thought that, you, this man could be mine,
The actual day we meet was in July
But when you went to Montgomery, I felt like I was going to die.
In Montgomery way up there
I came to realize that, that was nowhere,
The days I came to stay with you
Made me realize all the more, this love must be true.
The time we spent, we spent it well
Gosh gee! that sounds like weddings bells,
Bells of music, joy, and laughter
Bells that could means happily for ever after.
After two or three days, I had to come back here
The thought of being without you caused me to shed a tear,
I'm counting down the days that I would use certain initials
Praying and hoping that it would be Mrs. Jermaine Mitchell.
