Not an amusement park in sight 
So, we headed to the mountains 
No bumper cars, roller coasters,
Spinning cups, or dancing fountains
We diligently searched
For something to stimulate our hype
At last we spotted a
Near perpendicular metal irrigation pipe
Without a pod, a seat, or even some grease
The tube had way too much drag
A quick search of our backpacks

When dear old uncle Burkey
Tried to bake a whole turkey.
It didn't look good
And smells like burnt wood.
But it makes tasty jerky.

Then he sold it to Durkey
They named it Durkey Jerky
Now he lives in France
The land of romance
And those gals know he's quirky.

J Word Jerky

My Functional Movement Disorder
Turned me into a performer.

My body becomes jerky,
And I move quirky.

My arms  move spasmodic,
Onlookers may think I am neurotic.

But I am not foolish or silly,
This disorder will not kill me.

So if you see my jerks,
Know they are now my quirks.

First the cornbread now the turkey
his movements seemed herky-jerky
	stuff a bird
	think absurd
sounds to me a bit quirky

The world whirled by
  at a dizzying pace

as Herkimer watched
  from outer space

He saw it wobble
  on its axis
 
Then came up with
  a prophylaxis

When he returned
  he'd get right to work

and fix that wobble --
  "Thanks, Herk," we smirk

A Jerky Reverie

Where is the moon just now?
The light shining from the sun
appears, to have blotted it out.
The stark darkness of a motionless 
void, where atomic debris not seen,
passes
 through it, violating solid state.
Harmonious discontent, disconcertedly 
in serial fashion proceeds atonally
in a jerky reverie; weeping tearfully
musical notes arise in hesitance, seemingly 
from nowhere, like faint

There's a teacher named Gerkey.
He sells lots of jerky.
If you won't pay,
he'll send you away,
and you won't get jerky form Gerkey.

He makes me laugh when I’m about to cry.
