Cemetery

7/31/17

Some things considered hereditary
Near and far from any estuary
Working toward something legendary
Instead of secondary
And temporary
Got to do what is necessary
Stand in the way and you'll stay in the cemetery

There's a code of conduct, and right way to do business
Not by burning continual bridges
In the pursuit of riches
Thinking you're all that and prestigious
No more wishes
Go ahead and try to get religious
Now it's time you sleep with sharks and jellyfishes
A fitting finish
With three sixes

Darkness spread and the light shone
Close and beyond what we call home

Better watch your tone
You'd be a fool to think we're alone
And I'm not talking about drones
After all, aren't we made of flesh and bone?

It wasn't always set in stone
Had to get it on my own
Even if work and events were postponed

Quit telling me how badly you want the throne
I don't care about that, and still have much to hone
And comb

Under the Surface of Things

If we have to see the fishes closer
and immerse ourselves under the surface of things
I put on the wetsuit
The diver's paraphernalia
And I let myself go to obscure distances
And think no more at the air, which usually
fill my lungs …

I am a ludion suspended in waters
Tickled by shoals of fish that roam
Caressed by jellyfishes, eager for a country ,
One above, which they are not allowed
As I am no longer allowed for sunlight
So low, beneath tons of moving liquid.
That is, across the border turbulent waves,
A reserved area, where the feeling of feet wouldn’t be enough
And that includes me, and swallows me
Like all the certainties of dry floor …

And cuttlefish lend me their naval ink
Writing for the memory of the abyss,
The silent vrombissemnt of orcas passing
The strange lanterns of monkfishes
And the maze of colorful corals and anemones
Dancing with the warm currents
Barely the memory of man
And an oblique wreck, portholes with crimped
Shells and rust, with its scale
Hanging on the railing of useless.

Shells on Samurai swords,
Signify bravery!

Leatherbacks and hawksbills,
Beautiful Sea turtles,
Heroes in music,
Arts and music stars!
Eat up plastics,
Taking for jellyfishes!

Switch off your lights,

For Turtles nesting,
Save and help grow,

The Stinging Kind

Jellyfish is the stinging kind,
it is found in droves
on our crowded beaches...
any little sting can drive anyone wild.

Yes, they are spineless, mordant and gelitous...
being closed watched by large gulls with a hungry palate,
but are chased away by dogs so ferocious;
I'm wondering how they will look and taste on my plate!

And still curious kids scoop them with plastic sand-shovels
and try to save them by dropping them in water-filled buckets,
running with excitement...ignoring the screams of their moms,
and they yell, " Put them down, they will sting you more than once!"

O jellyfishes, don't be vicious...we love you like shell-fish,
if you could talk, your bizarre conduct won't be misunderstood by many!
Is the water so polluted and infested with sharks that you flee from the sea,
or are the fishermen so angry for wasted time on a worthless catch?
