Jack Of All Trades

As the poorly-programmed project
had received no traction
badly borne out by the evidence
of no enthusiasm or action
with accumulation-based speculation
pulling strings as a puppeteer
when whipping up interest
then asking for a volunteer
inducing imploring inveigling
and coercing someone to commit
"It's more than my job's worth,"
said Jack, "but I'll take a crack at it."

Jack of All Trades
Miracle Man
5/3/2024

I once hired a man who never followed directions,
which required on my part, frequent inspections,
Though an old hand,
He didn’t understand,
So each task completed required some corrections.

The Return of Jack of All Trades

We all knew Jack or someone like him,
But we thought time had passed by him,
We even sang the odd hymn,
To mark the passing on of him.

But alas he has returned to carry on where he left off
Knowing every job the ins and outs of.
That others could not finish off,
Despite many views to the contrary of,
By those cleaning up after he had moved off,
To tell others what he never knew the half of.

I came across him the other day,
And he still had the same old things to say,
About how others did not know how to work with clay,
Or who should have right of way,
And that he was able to bring what was needed into play,
Faster than I could say,
I'm finished for the day.

Now he has a family of his own,
For us to bemoan.

Jack-of-all-trades
  master of none
like a swiss-army knife
  he gets the job done

polite with the ladies
  all business with men
keep his number handy
  you're gonna call him again

Premium Member Once Was a Jack-Of-All-Trades

Once was a jack-of-all-trades, no longer, not now
To screw in a lightbulb, wifey shows me how
Turning it right or left
Used to have success
Next time I'll probably fall off the ladder, kerpow!

Once a jack-of-all-trades, no longer, not now
To screw in a lightbulb, wifey shows me how
Turning it right or left
Used to have success
Next time I promise I won't need help I vow

To screw in a lightbulb, my wifey shows me how
Do I turn it right or left
Used to have success

Black-The Jack of All Trades

"Hello I'm Johnny Cash" his warm hearted greeting;
they knew it was the man in black they were meeting.

And this color black is also well favored
by those whose lifestyle is "goth" flavored.

Ladies all over have closets brimming
with black clothes which are supposedly slimming!

There's the black heart of the liar and cheater
which makes the other lovers seem sweeter.

The black jellybean stands out from the rest
there in it's Easter basket nest.

In black of night I wrote this all down;
might be the most versatile color around!
