assimulated

turbulent
 distractions

Mystique of mouthful aisle eats intrepid footsteps
Bespoke brick shelf scrapers muffle internet tweets
Eyes provide sole light source, borers of exploration 
Closed cover modesty encroaches on curiousity 


Timorous piled rectangles least represent symmetry 
Shifted to stained beige paged, folded back scars
Markers of importance boast creased corners torn

Moss breathes dampness, near
shifting blankets of old leaves.
Beds of lichen thrive.

Both pure and pungent,
the air is soul-enhancing,
gifting faint wood smoke.

On the forest floor,
Princess Pine grows sweetly
in pristine patches.

Old stone foundations
and a gurgling waterfall
capture heavy mist.

Dark reeds cross the marsh
to a long strand of young spruce,
vivid and spritely.

How mysterious a force is intrigue - a poet's plight and salvation, a magnet of unyielding supernatural bliss to our muse. A Fun Poem

As we look forward 
to a (Revolution)
in living and loving 
the retired life.
I was hoping my wife,
who is teaching me 
how to speak toddler.
Would lead me to a 
(Spontaneous) (Fixation),
to (Patronize) 
our two year old granddaughter, 
and (Navigate) the (Portal) of some 
(Tangible)(Intrigue).
And provide the older grand kids
with some exciting games 
and entertainment.

A spontaneous outburst had brought to light
The plot to patronize the young Prince Harry
Whose fixation would lead him to marry
A commoner not fit for  Royal portal -
A place reserved for a loyal mortal.
The revelation that they could live elsewhere

Frosty crystals cling to silken threads
The once perfect geometry sags with unexpected weight
