Peace Be Still

Do we desire to live an impactful life,
To leave a legacy that would bless and shine?
Then let us yield to Christ’s gentle choice,
And surrender all to His will divine.

Our call is to be tender, to be true,
To walk in mercy, mild, and childlike trust,
Be gentle, sweet, in all we say and do,
With willing feet, be helpful, kind, and just.

For He gives peace amid the fiercest storm,
At His Word - “Peace, be still” - the winds obey.
His voice still calms the turmoil, makes hearts warm,
Though fear may rise, stay close to Him today.

Upon that Cross, He bore our sin and grief,
Now He intercedes to bring us peace and abundant life.

Premium MemberAlone To Ponder

A nice day
Along a stream
A moment to ponder
A moment to pray

Flowers in the breeze
Dance their display
A bird of flight
Darting through trees

Wild grass high
Singing a song
Turning to look
The hills
Stand in awe

Velvet light
Showering
Crystal mirrors dawn
Prisms of color
Stretching beyond

I open my journal
And dream a song
Light breeze touches
Worries are gone

[]

Tranquility
Finds Solace
Inspiration
Touch a dream
Clarity
Brings calmness
Peace and harmony
Intercedes
Freedom
Dance victory
Serenity
Now redeemed

The Paraclete

As believing Christians doubt
errantly forgetting God,
He intercedes judiciously,
kindling love mid narcissism.
Our Paraclete,
quenchable, resident Spirit,
teaches us vital wisdom
xenolith, yokefellow, zealot.

Premium MemberFall Inspiration

A righteous reward harvesting,
one mind in accord gathering,
the autumn seasoning succeeds,
as Promise holds the prayer beads.

Induced to wake and chase the sun
as day's light trim will soon outrun,
prayer that lengthen intercedes,
as Promise holds the prayer beads.

The market is a lively place,
as empty shelves are filled with grace,
as farmers glee fulfilling needs,
as Promise holds the prayer beads.

A good day greets a setting sun,
the barn door's closed seems all is done,
the pastures gleaned as breath recedes,
as Promise holds the prayer beads.

A washed soul grasps a warm embrace,
shared labored love well set in place,
feast awaits as prayer precedes,
true love holds to the prayer beads.

Premium MemberBrick By Brick

Time becomes a trap a clock we neglect
And we get fooled over and over and over
Seconds turn into minutes, minutes into hours
Hours into days into a daze who cares

Pain has so many masks a deceptive heart
No mercy given even when asked until
Love intercedes with grace and mercy
Time waits for no one not a soul
Time is patient because it has no beginning no end

Sin and pain cannot be swept away
By the tides nor time
It is not what we see
It is what we don’t want to see
The curtain is torn for you and me
Beyond the wall beyond the heavens

Jesus Intercedes

In Jesus's prayers to God, he prayed for little children.

In Jesus's prayers to God, he prayed for Peter's faith to remain strong.

In Jesus's prayers to God, he prayed for his followers, and for those who will believe in him through his teachings of God's revelation.

In our prayers to God, we thank him for sacrificing his only begotten son, so we have a second chance at forgiveness for our sins.

In our prayers to God, we give him our prayers of gratitude and contrition.

In our prayers to God, we end our prayers with; "Thank you heavenly Father for your loving grace and we pray to you in the name of Jesus Christ your only begotten son", Amen.

Premium MemberDon'T Go Away

Rain, rain, don't go away
Come back again soon, okay?
I want to stay inside and read all day
Come back again, for a while: stay

Rain, rain, is what my garden needs
After my work making it bereft of weeds
Now it's time to grow the forget-me-not seeds
I hope St. Isidore the Farmer intercedes

inspire and encourage
your prayer
life is more tolerable
as you face uncertain times
pray
wondering how to pray
just talk to your Father
Say what you wanna
 Remember, the Holy Spirit intercedes
for us and God knows your heart words to pray
He knows the words you say

Premium MemberIn Deed

Not for what I have done,
but what you've done for me,
you love me in deed.

Not for who I now am,
but for who I will be,
your love intercedes.

Not for my blemishes,
but in spite of all them,
your love supercedes.

You refine me with fire
like a purified gem.
You love me indeed.

Red Roses

Love's beauty dwells in a long stemmed red Rose
Amidst other buds not yet in full bloom.
I admire them most when in sweet repose
As twilight intercedes and shadows loom.

Grief mingled with fragrance perfumes night air
Where within his garden red roses bloom.
Their loveliness in moonlight I will share.
Tonight, I feel his spirit in our room.

His gifts of roses not that long ago
Spoke of his love, yet uttered not a word.
The joy their beauty gave me let me know
How he professed his love, and my heart heard.

Joy Comes From God

Joy comes from God; He is forever, faithful and true.
When we say "I trust You", joy returns to Him.

We plan ahead for our kids like we should -
good food, warm clothes, education.
We pray and introduce them to Jesus
for they are precious gifts from God.
But in the end, joy is all about trust -
God's strength comes by their choice.

Joy comes for us when we see them succeed
in school, in work, in marriage, in church.
Through ups and downs, even when they disobey,
we encourage trust through prayer for forgiveness.
Joy comes as God, as our Father intercedes
affirming their wise choice of Jesus as the Truth.

That is what brings real joy to this parent,
Knowing this: when they put their faith in Him,
the damage predators dare to dish out
is overcome as Jesus cares for our kids and us.
Showing folks we know, He is in control;
His strength is sufficient for what comes our way.

Joy comes from God; He is forever, faithful and true
When we say "I trust You", joy returns to Him.
