SAVOUR THIS, MY CHILD
Nothing reflects reality
Like God’s supreme beauty.
Look into the mirror, child,
And see His greatest reward:
Savour it in thanksgiving, for a while:-
No matter how many times you do,
You’ll always see God’s precious beauty
Looking back at you: this will always be true:-
Know that your beauty has its fragility, needing
To be anchored and solidified before it can be
Sanctified utility: codifying its glorifying liberty:-
When you ask forth
unto the Lord
you are talking to Him
Be minded Our Father
Not a begging or complaining
Garment for you to wear
Just talk to Him
About everything
For He knows already everything
He just wants you to acknowledge
Him always in prayer, He so cares
All things you ask for in prayer you will receive if you have faith
Yes! All things you ask for in prayer you will receive if you have faith
Our Lord's grace, in place, He listens to every word, He's our living witness
Jesus Our Lord God hears us

LIFE IS ABOUT TODAY , NOT TOMORROW: BE AWARE
Each day has its trials.
Today, shouldn’t be different;
Just give it to God:-
All days are given by God;
And He will guide you through them:
There’s crucifixion;
There’s also resurrection;
And there’s ascension:
All canvassing days given:-
In living each day,
In God’s healing grace,
Give Him the praises:
Parallel in peace and love,
Perpendicular in life:-
Each day we are given,
Just seek God’s navigation:
Jesus will guide you:-
A tomorrow may not come;
End each day in thanksgiving:
MOVING ONWARDS IN GOD’S GRACE
Trying times testing.
Faith and hope calming things down:
Overcoming waits.
Navigating victories,
God’s guidance, leading us on;
ABANDONING WAR FOR PEACE: A SCRIPTURAL PERSPECTIVE
Remember and be encouraged by the blessed scriptures:
“And let the peace that comes from Christ rule…your hearts.
For as members of one body, you are called to live in peace…”
Likewise, in thanksgiving prayer, also be forever inspired
In knowing “God blesses those who…[labor]...for peace,
For they will be called the…[blessed]...children of God.”

ONCE AGAIN: OF YESTERDAY, TODAY, AND TOMORROW
(Apropos Of Another Perspective)
Yesterday’s tomorrow has become today,
And will soon become tomorrow’s yesterday:
Associating change and sameness:-
Yesterday’s oppression remains with us today;
And with eyes on the prize, we continue to seek
Tomorrow’s coming reprieve:-
In doing so, let’s be mindful that yesterday’s ancestors did more with less,
Ensuring that we today, with more, would have less to do, to ensure that
Tomorrow’s heirs would indeed be in the gaining of coming liberty:-
Thus, each day perpendicular to the blessed earth, give praise and thanksgiving,
That each day is the blessed day given to us by our Savior’s assurance, that
“Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”
AT THE PORT OF AMAZING GRACE
On a remote isle of
emotional consciousness
wandering undulating waves
kiss shores sanded with keloid memories
reflecting a journey sailed over whirlwind waters
of testing currents of life that battered my faithful ship of hope
that is now docked at the disembarking horizon of God’s great
port of amazing grace: its bells ringing love and clanging liberty:-
TO EVERY DAY BEING IN THANKSGIVING
Not just on its day,
But every day, we must
Give God thanksgivings:
For divine wisdom and His
Navigating exodus:-
In thanksgiving grace
Let us give God thanksgiving:
Look at you and me,
Though not where we ought to be,
We’re not where we once were:-
To God be the glory,
No need for us to worry;
God writes ourstory:
We aren’t their praise history,
We’re of God’s praised mystery!
Look how far we’ve come;
From slavery and Jim Crow:
Overcoming scum:-
The one thing we must all know,
God’s navigation will grow:-
IN THE SHADE OF LIFE
No longer afraid…
Walking through shadows of death…
God’s light melting fear…

IN READINESS FOR TODAY
Another day’s test.
Bring on the mess:
I’m at my God’s best:-
When God whispers, the sky turns blue.
Bright flowers broadcast every hue.
Mauve mountains shade green valleys deep
where dog and boy keep frisky sheep.
Brimming rivers run clear and true.
Forests beckon all creatures who
follow the path of bear and shrew.
Where willows arise tall, but weep
…when God whispers.
Birds relating the miles they flew
keenly warble their points of view
and I within my full heart keep
gratitude for all things I reap
…when God whispers.
Awed by myriad divine miracles
triumphant spirit lilts with thanksgiving
midst wonders that cascade from heaven
drawing me toward lunar radiance
inviting for faith-soared flight
while soul freely explores grand space
around serpentine mystery
glowing along firmament’s iridescence…
Here am I, worshipping midst praise*
the Creator of the universe
my Saviour and Lord!
*Psalm 150:1-2 Psalm 150:1-2 Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: Praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: Praise him according to his excellent greatness.

TO POETIC REAPING
In the mind’s garden,
the poem of poems, germinates
in its fertile soil:
The poem’s ripening word-fruits
seeded with enlightenment:-
May poetic grace
be reaped from rhythmic sows
of flowing guidance:-
May poetic words
be cultivated throughout
all of the seasons:-
In the mind’s garden
may inspirational grace
forever blossom:
And may encouraging light
ever be sun-shined:-
Praises be to God
for fertilizing my mind’s
poetic garden:-
