Premium MemberBeing Grateful

I hope heaven has pizza parlors, and little establishments with local craft beers. And jukeboxes with hits from the 50's. And good Italian ices. And drive-ins, and moonlight canoeing. And And And.............. The best of earth would be heaven enough for me.

Premium MemberTo Help Out Friends

To help out friends, it never hurts; a salve that comforts and diverts their pain with hope it heals and mends. It never hurts to help out friends. Lifting their cheer by words or deeds that help those downed with woeful needs. A little kindness will endear by words or deeds, lifting their cheer. With heartfelt calm, we'll soothe their souls. Warm, loving acts can soon extol that thoughtful kindness is the balm. We'll soothe their souls with heartfelt calm. Kind acts are blessed, both large and small and, for some time, can please, enthrall. Lift heavy loads for those distressed. Both large and small, kind acts are blessed.

Premium MemberTreasures

If not for the wrong I have
witnessed, I’d have little to
know of good -- discovering
worth by contrast --

From chopping wood I
have found, the breaking down
of hard labor strengthens us.

And love has taught me to endure.

And that friendship wrought is all
I need of victory.

Premium MemberSo Spake Simple Simon

Line of inquiry:

“We look at spirit not at form
Our touch is gentle, kind and warm
We but reflect God’s love and light
‘Tis the path to which we conform”
        Unseeking Seeker

Look upon others with grace
That it may be applied to you
A tame tongue a kind face
Strong faith bonding like glue

So spake Simple Simon
As he walks with holy heart
Soul shining bright as Diamond
Anointed eyes like guiding star

Be not distracted by form
For this body flesh is dust
Yet to it or others do no harm
Upon God we wait and trust

Reflecting God’s love and light
Find purpose and calling in life

Premium MemberIf Homer Knew Rose

If Homer knew Rose, then she'd be the face,
that launched a thousand ships. And the walls of Troy,
which the Greeks tore down, would not fall from grace
if kings and the gods weren't pawns to destroy.

If Rose were Helen, her face would launch ten-
thousand ships—and enlist ten kingdoms more.
For Homer never knew, nor could imagine,
how fairer Rose makes Helen's beauty poor.

But, unlike Homer, I've gazed upon Rose:
her everlasting beauty is greater. Time
can never erase her feature or her pose,
so long as this poem endures as my rhyme!

And so, if Homer knew Rose (like I know her),
Troy would still stand: and have lasted forever!

Premium MemberWALK WITH ME

Oh, come now - since life is full of care
and the woodland path is wanting wear;
and the trees of spring must needs be seen
as winter’s grey is sprayed with green.

Van dyke said: ‘walk a mile with me’,
but let us go further and then we’ll see
how the foot is connected to the jaw and tongue
and the track can move the lip and lung.

We’ll tread pleasantries and leave them behind.
As amble turns ramble, we’ll clear out our mind
of piffle and fluff - chit-chat and chatter -
and at last get to speaking of the things that matter.

Gasping with effort, we’ll listen to the other;
clarify our reasons and, when home, discover -
though the debate and the way were difficult and rough -
we’ll agree we have not yet walked quite enough.

Premium MemberDivine Partnership

Partnership bloomed with divine bliss
calling each other Brod and Sis
our blest journey from love’s abyss
lingers yon memoire…
we walked on different terrain
midst God-propped friendship of faith’s gain
while letting compassion to reign
and yet here we are.

Premium MemberNew Year 2026

Of course, New Year is Old Tradition --
and old friends are treasured friends. So,
this year I seek to renew my treasured
old. Instead of booze, a healthy meal
and vitamin cocktail. Instead of internet
trash-talk, some Shakespeare and Bach.
No swearing and judging others today, only
positive praise and love. To say I will do
no evil may be a stretch? For something
must be consumed that I may continue
to live. Therefore, I will honor all noble
sacrifices. Make of myself a lamb when
necessary. Trusting to God all outcomes.
Whether large or small, when given a chance
I will take the opportunity to do good. I
make firm resolve, to be a steward and
preserver of this wondrous world gifted
us. In the name of the Father, Son, and
Holy Spirit. Amen.

Premium MemberA Poet Is Never Alone

A Poet is never
alone as long
as they have
a book of
Poetry with them
It's as if
the Author is

Premium MemberThe Gift

To think, that fine gem,
made just for me! Though the oyster,
more occupied with merely surviving.
Little thought of lustrous possibility
it possessed, and what could come
from a grain of sand. No strand assembled
without a lot of heartfelt, wishful prying.
What started a lone speck of love? Each portrait
a priceless reminder. Merry Christmas!

Premium MemberTravel

Being yourself
In a foreign land
Is to leave old shoes
And counterpane

Take a risk
Among new friends
To discover Earth
Through shared lens

Allow that light
To overwhelm
The journey forward
And back again

Premium MemberCan't you see it

You're more than just important,
You're irreplaceable!
Your presence has woven the most beautiful web of protection,
Filled with self-doubt
And covered with a dull sheen of fear.
I see you,
I see the real you,
Not the one we all see at a glance
Nor the one that feeds the image from the mind.
I see the beautiful shades of color
Radiant hues of emotions that surpass
Even the most beautiful sunrise.
You are more than just important,
You are
Irreplaceable!

Friendship is essential
To the soul in need:-
Live in wonderful oneness
Of the onement of God’s love:-

Misery picks all;
We all have our time for it,
And its survival:-
Praise God for his healing grace,

Premium MemberNarcissus

Let those failed lights
keep their starry darks,
no hidden treasures have
they –
           gems who hoard
their sparks, as bushel
a-cap heaven’s dearest
light,

blessed with angel appearance
and nature

now in free mirror fall

kingdom sovereign pool of self

worships self-love, that’s all --
