Narcissus

Let those failed lights
keep their starry darks,
no hidden treasures have
they –
           gems who hoard
their sparks, as bushel
a-cap heaven’s dearest
light,

blessed with angel appearance
and nature

now in free mirror fall

kingdom sovereign pool of self

worships self-love, that’s all --

Yep. No good to get hung up on images, especially self. Destined to fall. Thank you, Gershon.

Hi Joe; appreciate the read and comment. Strange, often what I think is my better poetry, gets fewer comments. Go figure? Maybe I just don't know good poetry. I notice that with other poets I follow...often what I think is great poetry, only gets a few comments.
