Easter Inklings
In my heart, there lives a prayer
for blessings of love, hope and faith
blessings so pure they speak of His grace
blessings that prove, He is surely faithful
In my soul, there lives a promise
assurance that He is there,
a silent friend, sometimes speaking
other times, offering His gentle peace
In my spirit, there lives sweet praise
for all He’s given me,

Inklings of Wonder
We gladly become whole
All problems He will dissolve
It is the melding of the soul
Just an embryo yet to evolve
The insight of being born anew
All problems He will dissolve.
Inklings of wonder yet to ensue
To feel His word so dear
The insight of being born anew
To experience Him so near
When His love we embrace
To feel His

Inklings of Love
Inklings of Love
Love is a never ending daisy chain
Lovely as damselfly sparkling with dew
Joyful as rainbows in sky after rain.
Cherish that you have a treasure so true
Celebrate that her love glitters and glows
Lovely as damselfly sparkling with dew.
In fragrance of daisies where'er she goes
Enlighten her she's your favoured flora
Celebrate that her love

Inklings Midst God's Blessings
Grace of God* keeps on upholding my heart
Settling faith around triumph’s joyous role
Secured upon eternal life-rampart.
Peace from the Lord prevails over my soul
To vanquish hopelessness of grievous pain
Settling faith around triumph’s joyous role.
Kindness the Saviour grants always brings gain
Offering blest pardon with serene glow
To vanquish hopelessness of grievous pain.
Wisdom of Christ along truth’s crystal

If Only Inklings
I write poetry with a bleeding pen,
sharing my grief, sorrow, tears and my love;
as past inklings come again and again.
Mom left with the dignity of a dove,
always so kind with a voice like a balm;
if only I had grace like mom above.
When dad spoke he was always very calm,
he was serene, soothing and wanted

Inklings
They are the “inklings”
Of a thought
Taking form
Faint etchings
Slowly scrawled
Scratched out
Born again
In halting hope.
A matrix of dots
Roaming an arid plain
Searching
For shape, form
and purpose
constrained
within edgeless boundaries.
Inklings,
Children of thought
Feeding on the rootless
Scrub grass
Of ancient strictures
Smearing their frustrations
On the castle walls.

Inklings
It was the work of her hands
that gave flesh to her speech;
her persona made vocal.
Gestures were needle-point,
stitching words into sound.
She talked with the eloquence
of quick speaking fingers,
with hands that emphasized,
underlined, swept away, challenged,
motioned, mentioned,
mollified, mimed, beckoned,
warned and added warmth to her words.
Her hands sewing and patching together
articulations for
the far-sighted and for muted ears.

Inklings
Shadows are but sign posts,
fleeting moment capsules,
brown leaf portent creeper‘s auto-pilot,
tarpaulin-sky mist draped on ancient chapel spire,
worship at the coat tail of a wrinkled orange rind lantern,
oak wood clouds smoulder from their taproot ash to blur the camera shutter,
sonneteer who mines a rock salt crystal,
earthly grain-squeeze imitation pearl,
false trail bard whose

Spots and Inklings
I have reviewed my spots and inklings
measuring each.
solidified my moment inside breach
of cosmic tare
said farewell to sanity and all the hosts I fare
given lives I’ve liven for the ghosts
of my regret
and yet
please my dearest give to me, one more cigarette
before the fold
before we’re told there is no final gift.
I cannot shift

Inklings
your ink
scripted so seductively
succumbs me
a statue of hieroglyphs
meticulous in manner
meandering
amid lasting memories
bleeding into my distended veins
you're a word of wisdom
imbibing
of my essence
with lips of long
as night stars hold view
shadows will awaken
with her solemn kiss
to the morn
begetting the radiance
beaming inside

Inklings of Spring
Winter finally moves his lumpen sluggish weight,
Spring is like a shy dryad shivering in his arms
Wind's whippets droop to trifling whine
Sullen rain hisses to a grizzle.
tiny fruit buds swell enough to moisten lips.
First daffodil maidens preen, bright faces so fair!
Chattering swallows check granite grey mortared mansion.
Duck naps snug, beak a chest --- gull floats overhead.
