Idol Worship Poems

Stone Idol Worship

Stone Idol Worship

. for public domain

She gives me heavy stones to carry,
and from the other cliff,
she calls for me to hurry across
a swaying old rope bridge.

"I've shrines to build and pujas to sing
to my dearest Hindu dieties,
flowers, and hotras, pleasing spices to offer
before the daylight ends."

And as she calls the wind blows hard
through the darkening chasm yawn.
Braids of the bridge squeak from the strain.
I shudder, and chillingly creep along.

You Inspire Me

I
Waiting ...
Not on the LORD
But on a phone call
So, I turn to poetry
Led by Jesus & His Word
"All is vanity"

II
I know there's nothing new
Something Solomon knew
Wrote about in "Ecclesiastes"
All is vanity, under the sun
I seek heat under His Son
But the dead world will beckon
If not for wealth, then a wise wife
Will I make her my new idol?

Lost

My journey is not long but my dream is
I search for the fastest way to reach my destination
But time tells me, “Take one step at a time”
I heed this advice
With patience as food of choice
Trust my drink to quench my thirst
I take a deep breath and struggle to look ahead
All I see is the same old things my eyes are used to seeing
Color, trees and the African savanna surrounds my day thinking
Social media confuses me with false testimonies from life failures
They think they made by their own knowledge yet it’s God’s intervention
They praise their wealth in place of God
They worship money instead the one who deserves it and lives forever
My God stand and see my evil heart even as I write his poem
It’s not perfect but at least it has little faith in you
Money I asked in a dream, you did provide me with it
Imperial status I saw my phone calling me to it
When will that happen my God?
I write this as I am sited in this barbarian chair
Idol worship is well known in this country
Yet for the sake of the few believers; you have spared us
Joy and peace through faith,
Trust and love be mine from God
Through forgiveness of my sins

From Moses To Muhammad

The spirit of Islam is same,
From Moses to Mohammad.
Submission to one God,
No to idol worship,
No to pagan culture,
No to lies,
No to hatred,
No to arrogance.
The message is same,
From Moses to Mohammad.
Obeying the parents,
Loving the neighbour,
Caring for the relatives,
Respecting the older,
Looking out for the younger,
Staying humble and truthfull,
Being Forgiving and trustworthy.
The people are same,
From Moses to Mohammad.
Made from drops,
Like seeds and crops.

Idol Worship

Some worship the Bible more
Than He at that idol’s core.

Worship My Body

You met me and was fascinated by the eyes, my curves
Not needing any assistance from my makeup and lashes
You stretch my body out starting with the crown jewel of my head and ended up at the bottom of my traveling soul of my feet
You stand there and gazed
While looking towards the heavens
Praising God for the vessel that is laid before you
Your very essence as a man
You have to ask yourself is this body mine to have
He worshipped my body through the intense tool of his mouth
While using the optical lens to appreciate the femininity laid out before him
After he finished giving Thanks to God
The soul laid before him, raised it up and held me close with the intent of intimacy with erotic play of his hands
After the body finishes with excitement, just like the idol worship of some gods
I now have become his Queen

If Politicians Were Chlidren

If politicians were children
they would tell truth
the world we live in would have virtues
honest, love, peace, justice and kindness

If politicians were children
sharing material goods would be rare
inwards looking would dominate
egotism, fights over resources would paint the world

If politicians were children
they would trust God with one heart
idol worship could be a history
mutual trust, loving service would be the banner

If politicians were children
earth and heaven would have absolute peace

High Places

The high places
are where the rich and poor go
Venues where they congregate,
order the strong drink and rub the elbow
They come together,
no matter the social strata
The high place
is the place you wanna go
to take a toke or a sip ...
and do a little idol worship
At the high place,
they all come together ---
no matter the time, day or weather
To hear the gladiator cheers,
to hoist the whiskey and beers
To inebriate their personal fears
at concert halls or cosmopolitan malls,
ritzy cabarets or plush chateau getaways
Go to an immaculate high place,
if you wanna get dirty lowdown
Take a trip,
baby, to Las Vegas town
Walk the tourist strip,
sample the forbidden fruits all around
Visit a Dagon high place, if you dare ... just don't be there
when the walls come tumbling down

Piece's of Peace

Wind warrior's chant among proud souls
high in the mountains on grassy knolls
ancient ancestors urging them on
from deep within' their own heart song

The skies ceiling is breakin'
the people have weakened
honor has slipped out the door
empty faces , lifeless traces
human races , unfit , grace no more

Their book's speak of idol worship....
what do they worship now ??
Their book's speak of gluttony ,
mistaken as just overeating............
who live's in excess and obesity ??
Their book's speak of vanity ,
looked at as self conceit.........
but you only want to look better
to make me feel worse about me
so you can feel better about you........

Their book's and belief's have me always a subordinate
I suppose that show's whom is truly ignorant
They say ignorance is controllable , don't teach them the truth.......
but if that is true..........who controll's you ??

broken promises , broken treaties , broken people , broken arrows
now is not the time to feel sorrow ,
our earth mother needs us more than ever ,
to bond our connection they have tried to sever .............

The Ten Comandments

Moses climbed the mountain tall
Thanking God he did not fall
He reached the top and with a smile
He talked to God for a while
God gave him stone tablets of comandments ten
He climbed down the mountan but then
He seen the people worshiping a calf of gold
In anger he broke the tablets in which God told
The way that you should live your life
With happiness and joy, not fear and strife
The people then stopped their idol worship
And the statue they did tip
Moses was now happy but then
He had to climb the mountain again
