Morning starts early, before it gets light
Opening cupboards, to see what’s in store
Teachable moments, with wrong versus right
Hope grabs the car keys, then heads through the door
Early bird children, are making their way
Ready to take on, another school week
So many hurdles, to climb day-by-day
Destiny journeys, down these terraced streets
Another story, of work’s imbalance
Young hungry children, get so tall, so fast
Confidence takes it's fences and chances
Armed with new shoes but, how long will they last?
Roses or chocolates, say life can be hard
Demanding much more, than words on a card.

Every hardship
Gives us good chance
To grow as well.
Each has one life
You live it right
Once is enough.
It takes warm word
To make people
Feeling secured.
All your effort
No time at all
Will bear result.

"'If I'm the world's biggest failure
Does that make me a success?'' -Peter Dome.
Life is a series of stepping stones
A challenge we have to face
Each every day
We try to keep our balance
Winds may blow us over
We either make it or we fall
Obstacles may get in our way
Sometimes we don't make it at all
Many try to live their lives all at once
And trip over
It's hard if we try to get
From one step to the next
Blinded by darkness
We have to be careful
If our feet don't know where to go
So we take a breath
And go real slow
Sometimes our feet get stuck in the mud
We struggle with all our mite
Or we find ourselves in quicksand
And we lose the fight

Merrily, my soda hopped, skipped
…rolled merrily along,
jumping hurdles of falling leaves,
sloping t’wards steep driveway.
The bottle, fizzing, shaken up -
merrily, as I watched
it’s descent, hoping it would stop,
not hop the boundary.
My neighbor, not the sort to laugh.
Congregation of leaves
held it back, so no disaster.
Merrily I retrieved.

I wonder what will it feel like,
When I reach the topmost stair of my childhood dreams.
If I would be satisfied with the long run,
Or I would regret my choice type.
I wonder what will it feel like,
To conquer all the hurdles and to taste the sweet success.
If my happiness would be explicit,
Or I will just pretend due to the exhaustion of a long ride.
I wonder what will it feel like,
To be besieged with the smell of victory.
But even if the end might not feel like a magnificent triumph,
The journey I sailed through
Would be the greatest accomplishment.

It is just not the way I imagined,
It is just not the way I wanted,
I see life like roller coaster rides,
Turns and twists and hurdles of all kinds,
Loud roaring and the powerful slap of the air,
Shouting and laughing out loud as if any care.
No matter how much you fear,
But you dare to finish the ride.
The end may be strange and weird.
But you are okay and ready for another ride.
Never tell the closest one how you endured,
No one cared, and okay to keep it unshared.
Keep it to yourself even when in your deepest pain,
Folks only desire to seek for their gain.
Just laugh out loud and seem you are the happiest.

Wondering why life can't be simple,
I look forward and see hurdles,
I look back and see the start line,
Inches before I started.
Wondering why life can't be straight,
I look forward and see alternatives,
I look back and see wrong choices,
Yet choosing which to take,
Maybe this or maybe that.
Wondering why life can't be happy,
I look forward and see despair,
I look back and seek my mistakes,
Trying my best to move forward,
The past rigs me to pieces.
Why can't life be without problems,
When the only thing I don't see are solutions?

THE UNDYING ASPIRATION.
Looking around for something
Searching about to see anything
Now I found a thing
Just to realize it was nothing.
I search for it in the sky
Limited my dreams to my sight
Lifted my eyes and all I could do was to sigh
At the twinkling stars popping in the sky.
Then it seemed I was engaged in a duel
All I wanted was just to get a clue
To a dream which I thought will suit
My aspired accolades which I felt was due.
I imagined if I could see beyond it
Then remembered the sky is not my limit
It seemed to be like an irrational fit
Covered with challenges and plights.
All together, I decided to fly
With caution, attention and to ply
Through hurdles which were like a Nile
And obstacles which as a fox sly.
With strength, I got to the fit,
Where my dreams could be achieved
And no one could bring it down with any .

THE TENSED ENVIRONMENT.
Hurdles come in between
My teaching and preaching
About keeping and maintaining
The beauty of my horizon.
Little did I know
That my thoughts were unknown
To my users whom I bestowed
My body and soul.
I have been trying everything within me
To make them understand what I mean
But they all seem to be numbs and indeed
A caricature of failure and mischief.
Only if they could feel
All that I experience and see
Due to their impelling deeds
Destroying the span of my fit.
My eyes bleeds tears
My mouth murmurs fear
That I might lose the care
My users promised to share.
All they think of is to struggle
To gain all what they can handle
Forgetting I am facing the hurdles
Which is entangled in their struggle.
I just wish the next generation
Will for the sake of affiliation
Use my already grotesques condition
In a way I will be full of admiration.

hurdles - a bunch of needles poking us,
to make us hitch our wagon to a star,
makes us to be sure of ourself; and
pats us to vie for romp to victory
hurdles finds where the shoe pinches,
now i am not a shrinking violet,
as for me passing hurdles is
like taking candy away from baby
life without hurdles is baby without soul,
life with hurdles is welcome of bed of roses,
so i started to embark on new things -
without idling my time in freeting about HURDLES

Some thought his mind to be a tender leaf,
Yet only he knew ... the battle in his mind:
How oft' his mind did seek some sigh of relief
From wits that grieved – a burden he did find.
Pen like a wild beast, fretted his right hand,
And fingers did try to tame it, with tears;
Experts did warn his scribbles they would band,
Not seeing the gems, concealed in briers.
His fingers often blocked cascading thoughts,
And heart sure wept for the unexpressed wits;
His sturdy guts did fight with tangled knots
And sent forces to defeat ... rivals' blitz.
His life he won without laments or whines,
And here, I read for you, his painful lines.

thoughts sail on blue waves
of deep heart looking for the
support of lighthouse
sailing ship strikes sand
stays secured from the windward.
a new snag to solve
worries come in way
whacking waves, winds, williwaws
win them with warm smiles

...as you politely said
please don't pay attention to the color of my skin
but you keep shoving it in my face
...you keep filleting yourself
and sewing your skin onto mine
it doesn't fit-never will
we're different
but one and the same
we came from the same seed
but have different experiences
I can never walk in your shoes
because once upon a time
you didn't have any.
and for certain you can never walk in mine
but we do have more in common than not.
Our hurdles are of the mind now
and growing by the second
there are many that wish to
destroy us
by dividing us.
The media is a nest of vampires
and should be treated as such
they feed off of our blood
spotlight us at our worst and lowest
for the sake of ratings
nothing sells better than a race riot
or blue on black crimes
they need a stake to their hollow hearts..
If the vampires drain our humanity
we'll be wearing the same yellow shackles
then we can better walk in each other's steps,
but what a horrible price to pay for
mutual respect and understanding.

HURDLES
Spiraling around the mountains hefty,
Humming, singing songs so sweet;
Touching softly pebbles underneath,
Lo, there’s a brook, pure and swift!
Not for once it stopped, not awhile,
Not for a moment focus it lost;
Danced and curled, hopped and curved,
Down in the plains, quenched the thirst!
A life without the thorns, imagine if you can,
Possibly what would it exactly be like;
No lessons, no progress, no enlightenment,
Without a Guru as a learner lost!
The way the Divine keeps us on the path,
Patience, strength, virtues develop;
Resistance, anger, natural reactions are
Impeding the progress, delaying the success!
Resent not, for they appear
To brighten up the path, to enlighten up the soul;
Companions trustworthy never do they fail,
In creating an environment conducive to change!
For the success, the progress, thank the impediments,
For they are the ones that hold you strong;
With the will, the power, let the race be won,
Quit not betwixt, vanquish the Hurdles!
