For This Day

I bid to sleep to death
For i have lived a life of wealth
No riches attached,but gaiety dwells
For this sorrow in me swells
Oh creator! I bid your take
The life in me forsake
For this life is a tempt
That draws upon to him,the world's attempt
My wish is to go away
Away! Lead me not astray

Looking Back

At times or days i feel like stone
Not moving for the better always
alone.
i ask questions; hoping to unlock an
answer
If no reason is found, there is
another
Day to understand, why am i
troubled.
If it was easy it would've been
revealed
Nothing good ever comes easily
But lies come before truth so freely.
What am i doing in this mood?
Where’s my happiness; my good?
Finding myself following the lost,
But when do i get to be the boss.
It’s my life i am suppose to live
But by the examples others give.
Following because it made a change
But it's your effort that made the
grade.
Get up, get out, and change it up,
God is ready if you are done giving
up.
Stuck in the "why is my life that's so
wrong?"
But the problem is we've waited too
long.
Time to react and stop licking your
wounds,
Take the chance overcome your
dues.
Today’s a new day to make it right,
Show them all the truth to spite.
No longer stone to find our resolve,
It’s self so the problem can be
solved.
The answers today to the questions
I ask,
New direction; So I’m not looking
back...

The Lesson I Learn Well

The lesson becomes the focus of today
Healing shall hold all my fears at bay
Emotions run wild in the words I say
Live your life for it was meant this way.
Energy flows from every source
Seasons shall change but stay on course
Summer is here so time for some fun
Only to realize I might come undone
No one escapes though I try to run.
I can’t understand but yet I yearn
Leave the light on let the candle burn
Escape to only see what I’ve become
Always black and white yet color does come.
Retreat to a place to try to be free
No one can deny what is happening to me
We shall see with our eyes and sight will be
Eternity becomes ones destiny
Live life to the fullest this is your time
Look to the skies the sign they shall provide.

I Have Choice, I Am Free

Instructed to order, his command I’d abide
To live and to breathe, right there at his side.
My life was for him to do as he please,
Until I remembered the strength inside me.
I found my courage and chance to be free.

So now when I see the pour of the rain
I walk through the re-growth,
Remembering my own regeneration.
When I see the sun fading, I smile,
Looking forward to tomorrow,
Because it's mine to plan.

When I see grey clouds pass overhead,
I know I am strong enough to highlight the fun I had today.
If I am pulled down, criticized, I know it's my choice to listen.
So with each bad day I remind myself of one good thing,
And know I can make lots more tomorrow.
I AM FREE!

It’s my life now and I’ll make it how I want it to be.
When I smile I know others smile with me,
And as I laugh others laugh with me,
And if they do laugh at me, why should it matter,
I make the future bright because I have new strength,
That grows with each new sun set.

I am free and it's okay to be me.
So when the night turns cold and I’m alone,
I know I’m alright because I have new insight to guide me,
And I now have choice standing beside me.

The Value of Life

The Value of Life
Life cannot be measured using a dollar sign…
There are no lengths of time
That increase the value of a life
Life is a gift
A gift that is immeasurable
For even the brightest of minds…
A reflection of the minutes that we
Share with others……
The impact that we make when
We encounter others for even a brief second.
Life is reamarkable........
The air we breath
is the very establishment of life...

Something New

I was alone and confused with thoughts I hoped were forgotten
But this pain is thicker than blood, my heart grew sour and rotten
From a life that was a once inside, but how it poured from my veins
And through my eyes her tears fall into the puddles of rain
From this face that I hide all the voices inside
They have crawled from the darkness and back into my light
And I hear them all echoing over and over again
But Im ok, im ok this is all in my head
When I tried to talk about her I could find nothing to say
And so I pushed it all down and painted a smile on my face
But thats when my lonliness became depression from all the hurt and suppression
As my anger became aggression from all the hate and resentment
So I prayed to my God
But in His hands will I fall
Its this line I will draw
Through this life I wont crawl
Where I've been crawling in circles now for days
I dont want to lie in the dirt and just fade away
So many choices in life, but which will I choose
I just want to find my comfort in something new

.... And on the dirt my flesh died
From the dust I will rise .....

(He never promised it wouldnt rain. He only promised to give comfort in the rain)

I Belong To Me and I Love It

depending on myself
something scary and new
no one to tear me apart
or make me lose whats true
finding where i belong
and finding out whats important to me
taking new steps and chances
not knowing whats ment to be
lost but not empty
scared but yet hopeful
pushing through my life
and taking it day by day
no need to be scared
and every need to move on
knowing that she once cared
helps things to go on
once no more seconds chances,
and now a whole new life
dont live life in the past
and never live life in spite.

I Try To Be a Good Girl

I sit here on this porch
Puffing on a other Camel Cig
Wonder where my life will go as I grow older
Will I ever find the guy of my eye?
Will I ever get to see my kids again?
Will my mother change her lien ways
I try to live my life to the fullest
But I always regret it
I go to church when I can
I try to be a good girl
But it’s like trouble always seem to find me
Sometime it feels like god is punishing me
Before my dad died
I had someone to run too
And talk too
Now I got No one but myself
I feel so alone in this world
God please give me sign

Her

Her life once full of color
Now is only black and grey
She is lost.
As sickness flows through her
Her wings lose their color
And her hair once shiny is only dull
She is lost with no why to ever find her way back
Only the thought of if this is the last day keeps her alive
She sits in a ball with colorless wings
Thinking of life… her life
Of what it once was
Where it lead her
And a smile over comes the frown
Pain is gone and with it loneliness
She is only happy as she comes to a better place
With smiling faces her color comes back.

PORCH SWING

I beg of you, to not be stopping by
unless your mind is set to spend the day,
for I've a mind that if you do then I
would try to find a reason you might stay.

You must know loneliness can make one do
whatever it might take, for company,
and since you know it now, I beg of you,
my greatest wish is you just speak to me
as passing by for age does take its toll.

Here on this porch I swing my life away
and in my plight tomorrow is a goal
I may not reach without some hope today.
O Passerby if life could ever smile again for me,
you'd stop and chat a while.

Premium Member So Much More In Life To Love

To see the beauty of a new sunrise,
feel the kiss of salt air on our cheeks.
Hear the laughter of children at play
and see fresh snow on mountain peaks.
We must do all we can to survive,
find our inner strength to rise above,
the adversities placed in our way.
For there is so much more, of life to love.

There awaits for us, Springs vibrant blooms,
the smell of new mown hay in the field.
The joy of watching kittens tumble,
reaping the rewards of what a garden yields.
Do not forget, we have each other,
stronger together, when push comes to shove.
Hand in hand, we will see this through.
For there is so much more, of life to love.

What Will His Future Be

What Will His Future Be?

By Elton Camp

In a country town where I’d never been before,
I saw a young boy coming out of the seed store
Faded bib overalls he wore just as did his dad
I wondered if his life would be happy or sad

By his dress, his prospects might look quite dim
But who can know the future of a boy like him?
His eyes may show a determined, burning desire
To achieve more than just be a farm hand for hire

Do we see a coming captain of industry here,
Whom even the nation’s rulers will come to fear?
Or perhaps there will eventually come the date
When he will preside as the governor of his state

It could be, though, that a life of crime lies before
The boy may become a petty thief and nothing more
Or he may grow into a man of often drunken spree
Or he could turn to drugs to set all of his pains free

It is much mistaken to say that it’s entirely up to him
Matters beyond his control may make his life so grim
Or there may come someone to help this lad one day
A friend and mentor who’ll show him the right way

Today

Looking up to God
trying to explain that life is hard
His vision was lost within the translation
even He can't see the light
 Life goes on without pause
nobody understands the cause
 Juveniles carrying sawed offs
it seems humanity is lost
 Corporate monopolies
crippling the economy
Legal systems have become a failure
giving more time than people lived
 Creating second class citizens
building upon the poor

Is There Hope

IS THERE HOPE ?

IS THERE HOPE
FOR MY LIFE

IS THERE HOPE
FOR MY SELF

IS THERE HOPE
FOR MY FUTURE

IS THERE HOPE
FOR MY LIFE TO GET BETTER

IS THERE HOPE
FOR ME TO PROVE TO MY CHILD

IS THERE HOPE
FOR MY FAMILY TO SEE I AM TRYING TO CHANGE

IS THERE HOPE
FOR ME TO PROVE TO EVERYONE THAT I AM NOT WHAT THEY SAY I AM

IS THERE HOPE
ANYWHERE IN MY LIFE

IS THERE HOPE
FOR ME IN SCHOOL

IS THERE HOPE
FOR WHAT I WANT BACK

IS THERE HOPE
FOR SOMETHINGS IN MY LIFE

IS THERE HOPE
FOR MY FAMILY TO ALL GET ALONG

IS THERE HOPE
FOR ME TO CHANGE

Making the Right Choice

I put my life up on a shelf
Whispered to the rolling sea
Come and help me find myself
Either that or let me be

The sea spoke back in muted tone
Told me all that I once knew
Things like I was not alone
With those words the silence grew

Memories are tough to lose
When they're what keeps you afloat
There are things you mustn't choose
Times you should stay on the boat

All the love I sought and lost
This night came to haunt me still
I was measuring the cost
Rolling that rock up the hill

When it did occur to me
My life was my own to spare
Only I could set it free
Nothing that I could not bear

I'll paddle my way to shore
Or find a lifeboat I can use
No telling what life has in store
But with some light I cannot lose
