CHRISTMAS IS WHERE YOU ARE
God made a promise
and the promis was kept
a simple what to do
for souls that have wept
down was cast the original sin
given was a chance to begin new again
tis the season God gave his gift
words of precious love fell from his lips
he could have struck us
with lighting and flames
but instead he empowered us
with the power of his name
given to love and not to revenge
a happier ending not left to man
I use to resent the” holiday season”
I never had any money and that made me hide my feelings.
It’s not much different now except I’m thankful to be alive at least.
I still don’t have enough money and I hate that so much.
But hey I believe if you send out love eventually it will hit its mark.
So I love you and always have and I’m sorry I’m like I am.
Merry Christmas to you and yours and be blessed for I send to you;
That of which I consider to be the best of what I have to offer;
And that is I think of you every day; and I’ve missed you always;
And I know it’s not much and maybe to you it doesn’t measure up.
But I understand that, so do as you will with it but hopefully;
You may come to know that I’ve always loved you.
O
Joy!
Christmas
is
almost here.
Bringing
children funl
and spreading cheer.
Through winter's freezing gust,
let us hold
our loved ones very near.
Always remembering
God is love and watches
from above.
As we walk this earth,
Ever mindful of His presence
giving our heartfelt givts, with love
hearts touching -
sharing love as Jesus taught.
Let us
always
Love Him!
Merry Christmas, My poet-friends -
Lovingly, Dane Ann
It's my turn to burn the turkey this year.
We'll all drink too much and end up in tears.
Relatives we love and those we hate
Will all show up, there'll be a debate.
Cranberry sauce or Cranberry jelly?
Would serve them all right if I didn't serve any.
At least one item I love will be broken.
At least one thing said should not have been spoken.
We'll start with compliments, lies of course,
Sing off key, laugh till we're hoarse.
Try to keep the arguing down to a dull roar.
Watch out for Uncle Harold, the man is a boor.
The children are the best behaved of the lot.
Uncle Harold's now loaded, the man is a sot.
Would everyone please just sit down and eat
And why does everyone want the white meat?
Two more glasses of wine and I will get through it.
Next year it's Mexico. Family? ..Well screw it.

I love the smell of roasting turkey,
Thanksgiving day with family.
Children's excited voices
Fighting over white meat.
Smell the pumpkin pie!
Smells, sights and sounds
Surrounding
Us all.
Joy!
Hope!
For all
That this day,
Thanksgiving Day,
Is one of many
To be enjoyed by all.
Excited voices now still.
Everyone now full and relaxed.
I love the smell of roasting turkey.

I
love
these trees
of Christmases
with bulbs of lights
so bright. Tinsel glitters
on each
branch sparkling
in the night. Presents soon
will find their way under the Christmas
tree. How much love there is that grows inside
of thee. The children soon will gather round to see
what Santa did bring,
And then we shall all hold
hands and of baby Jesus we will
sing. How I love this Christmas tree
that stands tall until the New Year arrives.
And then at that time we take her down and put
the bulbs
aside. Oh
I love my
tree of fir
and cones.
Gone is the crowd, all the lights, and all the noise,
hands clasped, eyes met, all that remains are the joys.
Shaking now, lips quiver and hearts beat fast,
each hoping this moment always and forever last.
Does he love me, does she really care,
these are the thoughts they equally share.
Her hair so long and pretty, his body so strong,
they can’t remove their eyes, it won’t now be long.
Feet slide as they move, heads lean and lips begin to part,
a wondrous kiss they share, in their love this is just the start.
Miracles happen and very few who don’t know,
that love and life can begin underneath the mistletoe.
New Year is upon us,
Have no fear.
Smile and let those pearly tears,
Run down our cheeks.
This is the year,
Of the new kings and queens to rain,
With much joy.
Joy for life, joy for the music,
And the love for love itself.
Happy New Year
Mary’s Love
Virgin maiden filled with joy
Iridescence in the arms
Ready for the glorious sound
Grateful hearts all abound
Instant Love has touched the earth
Nurtured by His Holy Birth
Many voices sing and praise
All abound in wondrous grace
Ready for His Royal crown
Yes Peace on earth Love came down.

Oh how I love thee with your white and dark meat
Thou art the very best
But because of you, I can’t see my feet
My navel is two feet from my chest
To diet and lose so I don’t wobble no more
I would be very willing
It would be impossible now, because somehow
I finished four bowls of filling
My wife pointed at me and said look at him
He sits at the table, like a dog he begs
I stare at you and your magnificent breast
Can hardly wait to get my hands on your legs
Enough already, I’m on my knees
Give me some stuffing and some black eyed peas
Sweet potatoes, corn and a salad I’ll toss
And bury your butt with cranberry sauce
Oh turkey, my turkey, you’re the one who rocks
Now I’ve gotten so fat, I can’t put on my socks
My love for you was fleeting
And we are finished I fear
But I’ll fall in love with another turkey
Same time next year.
I love thee
Thou day of my birth,
Thy sunrise was gentle on my mother’s womb;
Thy sunset rested on the crest of her heart with ease
I love thy stars
They sang as the heavens were opened
To release another legend into the earth,
Oh! Thy sun smiled at me as I cried when I arrived
I love thy tender drops
-The tender tears of the skies…sour but sincere
The skies wept because the heavens gave up a star
But mother earth was glad to receive a precious pilgrim
I love thee oh 29th of August
-The date of the dignified like MJ of Gary Indiana
And that of the saintly stars like Adeleke of Nigeria
I’m proud of thee thou date that danced with my destiny
Christmas is about being with the ones we love.
It's about celebrating the birth of Christ above.
Christmas isn't about the gifts that we receive.
It's about showing love and kindness to people; that's what I believe.
Even if you get no gifts, you still have your friends and family who love you.
A person who is loved is truly blessed; that's something no gift can do.
