My favorite day of the year is Halloween most definetly,
because it's the one time of year when everyone else wears a mask other than me.
There once was a bad ghoulish goblin.
Thump, thump on a crutch he was hobblin’.
It was Halloween night.
He dared to give a fright.
But he fell to the ground; he was wobblin’.

There was a young fellow from Deets
Who went out for Halloween treats.
He knocked on a door,
Ghoul covered in gore
Quite frightened him out of his sheets.
He dropped all his treats on the street.
The chasing ghoul then stopped to eat.
"When all's said and done
This isn't much fun",
He said, as he hastened his feet.
Be careful on this Halloween.
Beware creatures you've never seen.
Like the lad from Deets
Who was scared from sheets
By ghoul who was rabid and mean.
Four way tie for 2nd.
There once was a vampire called Vincent
Finding true love was his main intent
As he skulked through the night
Causing women a fright
Biting necks was how he chose to vent
One night Vincent met up with a lady
You might say her job was rather shady
Soon she said what the heck
And she offered her neck
Then he gave her a thrill hot as Hades!
She fell in love as he sucked her blood
Vincent too as he felt his heart thud
Now he was quite love-struck
Could not believe his luck
She made him feel like some vampire stud!

There once was a Halloween party
All of the costumes there were naughty
I tried to be cute
Wearing my birthday suit
And won the prize for costume most gaudy
For trick or treating Stella the strumpet
Got dressed up as a butterscotch crumpet
Caught his eye – Jabba the Hutt
He had hunger pangs in his gut
No more strumpet; Hutt plays "Taps" on trumpet

A young dead woman named Bloody Mary
for Halloween dressed as the good fairy.
At the mirror she beamed.
No one let out a scream.
BUT many still had dysentery!
Those little darlings
With their angelic eyes
Look harmless enough
But beneath their disguise
They’re nothing but thugs
With pure evil intent
These spawn of Satan
Are not heaven sent
These foul blackguards
Going about their sport
They say “Trick or treat”
As they happily extort
They squirt fake blood
On my front door
They egg my new car
I can’t take any more
I sit counting the minutes
Am I the only one?
Who just can’t wait
Till Halloween is done
On Halloween, all hallows eve
Ghosts and ghouls come out
But not to do their evil work
They just want to stroll about
They can mix with the living
At this one time of the year
And not be discovered
Or cause screams of fear
They just mingle with fleshies
All through Halloween night
Enjoying the company
But are gone by first light
Witches,ghouls and other spooks
Consort on Halloween night
All the ghosts and gobbledygooks
Are giving us quite a fright!
Up the darkened streets they go
Into hidden spaces
With their eyeballs all aglow
On their scary faces
You can run but you can't hide
They will seek you out
Best that you just stay inside
As they creep about
But wait! Let's take a closer look
At these immortal souls
Watch as the creatures we mistook
Reach into our candy bowls!
Up the alleyways creeps Death
Hoping to take your last breath
Darkly cloaked and demon-eyed
You had better run and hide
Searching high and searching low
Death shall strike the final blow
In every dark corner he looks
All the crannies,all the nooks
If he finds you you're all done
There'll be no place left to run
So on Halloween be extra fast
Or else that night might be your last!
St. Peter told the devil
It was not appropriate guise,
Perhaps he should dress like the others,
In costumes of men who were wise.
The wise men nodded and smirked
To hear St. Peter give him grief.
That devil was obviously a jerk
Or so they'd come to believe.
"I'm just here for the party,"
They heard the devil say.
"This costume will have to do,
It's so late in the day."
All throughout the party
They would hear the occasional shriek
As the pointy end of the devil's tail
Under skirts did peek.
After several complaints to the host,
St. Peter decided to ask
"Does anyone know who's in that devil gear,
This party will be his last."
No one seemed to know him
But at the unveiling at end of night
The devil was not among them.
He'd disappeared from sight.
All that were on the guest list
Had been accounted for.
It seems someone had crashed the party
And snuck in through the door.

Many girls of this generation love to wear a Halloween costume...
something unusual, not looking like a fair godmother, they assume.
Madonna is their idol too, more stylish than Lady Gaga, but much they seem to share...
they should choose the costume that will make them look much older than they are.
So girls barge in stores and buy that costume you'll love to wear on Halloween night,
don't grab anything that's out of style with bright colors that don't reflect moonlight.
Look dangerous and manacing and chase away naughty boys dressed as vampires,
step on their tiny toes, if they try to grab you imitating bats with red, bloody eyes.
Have fun and smile, no night compares to this one with all the noise and sneers,
be careful not to stare at them for too long...their teeth are sharper than scissors.
Run and keep on screaming and they will stop chasing you or at least give up,
and if they springle Baby Podwer on you...make believe that's dust from a star.
Ghost and Goblins,
Witches in tow.
Who is the scariest,
I really don't know.
As the moon rises,
There are many surprises.
At my front door,
Hands out asking for more.
Just peek in,
And reach in.
It's Halloween fare,
Take more if you dare.
Little goblins come out in the night.
Their only intent is to give you a fright.
Vampires and werewolves hide just out of sight
Waiting to pounce and give you a bite.
Better watch out, stay in the light,
Otherwise prepare to put up a fight.
Bats are looking down from a great height
And the goblins they hide wherever they might.
Ghosts float on by all dressed in white.
Hold someone's hand and hold on tight.
So look to your left and look to your right.
Watch out for yourself, it's Halloween night.
