My computer has the hiccups,
And now the printer has them too,
Which explains all my stuff ups.
I couldn't find a case of this kind, online,
And the manual was a waste of Time.
I asked my son to come and dine,
Hiccups in the conversation resulted in a decline.
My daughter was next in line,
She saw no need to dine,
As everything could be fixed on line,
That was until she got a case like mine.
Now it was novel language time,
A polite decline from the computer came on line,
And one from the printer in equal time,
Another from my wife to say I was out of line.
I took a glass of wine to make me feel fine,
And the problem to re-define,
While I went off line,
And took my wife out to dine.
I came back ready to try another line,
Ignoring the offline sign,
I Pressed print one more time,
And everything turned out fine.
My stuff-ups are now in decline,
The computer and printer still have hiccups from time to time,
Though when a message to dine comes online,
That is a message I never decline as long as there is wine.
We drove ourselves and it hurts to sit down in wheelchairs
outside by the greasy road where Mannequins wave our way
from inside genetically modified
insects; my lover drives a blue scarab
across the desert land and leaves the most surreal tracks
of disturbed dirt.
Perhaps someone creative has an ice tea I can sip to quell my
parched heart.
Inevitable. Please, can I have a drink to inflate my aching
heart?
And those hot air balloons are too low toward the grounds
& watching Golem reaching upward
to knock them like geeks out of the Royal Azure skies -- and
they call me a freak//i believe the G.O.D. forgot his umbrella
before he fell from our skies\\ and
so who is the freak?

I met a slick hick
from the sticks
who gave me a hickey
beneath the hickory tree.
I faked hiccups
hoping he would flee
but he stood there
like a schmuck
trying to help
me stop the hiccups.
Oh, dear (hic) not again!
Hold your breath (hic)
and count to ten.
Standing on your head
(hic) works, I think.
Hold your nose (hic)
and take a drink.
I was ticked
because I couldn't trick him,
so I kicked him.
Henry had the hiccups
But he didn’t seem upset.
A baby doesn’t realize
How annoying they can get.
He’s too young for the water trick
And much too young to scare,
So he just had the hiccups
‘Til at last they weren’t there.
He cried from hunger and from gas
And maybe lack of sleep;
Though Henry’s hiccups bothered me,
They caused him not a peep.
Hiccup irritates
