A revolution of the senses right in front of me
passionate notes that kiss the air and fly
just before the last curtain fails to die
gentle, gentle, into the night he leads away

Staccato then pianissimo like a priceless violin
he vibrates at a frequency never seen
beneath a ceiling of light, he's a dream
here to perform in full regalia , beautiful, forlorn

Dance little heart dance, don't ever stop beating
every wing that flutters inside
in that place where I cannot hide
brings me closer to the freedom of my soul's ching

Thank you for the madness of your genius Hauser
you play like an angel unhinged, beneath the hour.

You me we all strive in this life
To leave something of ourselves behind
To bequeath our mark on history
   And be remembered throughout time
Be it for legacy or vain conceit

In our youth we had dreams
Dreams so much larger than life
To stretch our wings and soar
   We would change the world
Make it a better place for us all

At times we’ve gotten sidetracked
Round about in some foolish ways
      At times dizzy and confused
Unconcerned by the trickle of sand
Falling mercilessly in the hourglass

If only we could see our destiny
   As clear as curbside signs
Showing us the point we'll reach
Be it high or be it deep
All in proper time making up for what's lost

Now loud and clear that ringing beckons
That haunting call that urgent craving
A yearning before that final curtain falls
Happens to us one and all
Be it for legacy or vain conceit

Mamba Night At the Marsh

There's a party down at the marsh,
amongst all the wild amphibians,
Theresa toad croaking alongside her tadpoles,
all one thousand and one of them,

Carla the crayfish catering all the food,
all of the partygoers in a festive mood,
the dragonflies doing their aerial light show,
getting much applause, they take a bow,

The crayfish band playing like mamba kings,
while the tadpoles do their synchronized swim,
even Rocky the raccoon stepping on in,
spinning round and round doing the swing,

While Sally the salamander does the mamba marsh dance,
Lenny the Lizard was looking for romance,
dancing all night with her in the marshy swamp,
watching out for gators and their big toothy chomp,

Till Sammy the snake cop slithered on in,
about to tell them to stop disturbing the peace,
instead he started slithering and grinning all on a whim,
hissing along to the the crayfish mamba kings beat.

For the Love of Poetry

Two total strangers,
two peas in a pod,
brought closer together,
over something they love,

Like the air we need
to help us breathe,
to both of them poetry
is an insatiable need,

Like the food we consume
to help us survive,
poetry nourishes the soul,
so we can grow and thrive,

Daily we dip
into poetry's well,
bringing rhyming to reason
in an abundance of wealth,

For our daily thirst from this well
our lives need to be quenched,
by the poems we read and write
showing the evidence,

Just as the earthly elements
help the peas to prosper,
we need daily doses of poetry,
to share our pain, joy and laughter.

Forget.Me.Knots

To forget knots my soul
so to find eyes I've gone
and come undone.

"...it dreamed to me..."

"... are you a tree.Frog?"

"If I can ask, Mr. Elder
to read t his letter
at his pleasure...

Once, I took some seeds
and sewed my name.
They came up right and
Pretty all the same.
And it made me so happy
I can hardly say...
But then yesterday,
when I came from riding,
I found that someone
in the garden...
had stepped on them.

I cried for a Long time.

Then I sewed my name.
Again. "

Kasper...
~The.Enigma~

The story began,
with a blind man,
who ate desert sands...
