Harder to see

Lord, you see...
Everything...
When I don't understand or my heart is too heavy to speak,
When my compassion overrides my logic,
Or when I still give beyond people's ill judgement,
When I close my ears and block out opinions,
Because I know many can be shallow without knowing the reasons,
I have fought for underdogs many times,
And when I have seen the truth underneath they're ways I've cried,
That not everyone and everything I see,
Is truly what everybody labels it to be,
And it's the harder path to take and easier to walk away,
And many will turn their noses up to you, and shun you the same way,
But my heart cannot ignore the love of your voice,
Because I know love is not just a feeling, it's a choice,

SOME DAYS WE HAVEE TO LOOK HARDER

May we be blessed to look for the good in every one…every day
always keeping in mind…
some days we need to look a little harder…
some days it may be difficult to find.

Harder Than Saying Goodbye

I picked up my phone,
There was a message from you,
When I read it,
My heart fell to the floor.
Your parents don’t like me,
And they want to keep us apart,
Yet somehow you still love me,
And I have no idea why.
Goodbyes aren’t forever,
They just mean “see you later”,
You told me you’ll come back to me,
And I know you will.
But it’s still a hard pill to swallow,
Because the only thing harder than saying goodbye,
Is waiting for the day when you’ll come back to me.

Go harder

Hard work pays off
Hard work is making a decision 
It’s making a decision to give 100%
No matter what’s going on or how you feel
Life comes with hurdles but what persons life doesn’t come with them
I don’t know about you but I’ve learned that the easy things that come don’t really last long
You know what they say
Easy comes
Easy goes
I don’t like the easy way
I know God has his way and he has his destiny for me all written out
I know there’s some bumps that I will be mad at him about 
Yet later I realized that the bumps were there to make me stronger
Even when I felt like given up 
God told me to go harder
Be smarter
Yeah life hasn’t been so kind to me sometimes but I must say I learned a hell of a lot because of those hard times
I learned that before the blessings come 
Things don’t look so pretty 
I look around and ask when does it get better 
God whispers to me 
When you decide to believe it will get better 
I’ve taking several breaks
I’ve broken down and wanted to give up on life
I have to thank God because he always gives me the strength to never give up
He gives me the strength to get up and go harder
He gives me the strength to want to be better

It's Harder At Night

It's harder at night 
In the dark all alone
Just the hum of the ceiling fan
Where my thoughts start to roam
I worry about you
Where you are how you've been
Are you healthy and happy?
Or in pain again
Are you eating ok? Are you sleeping?
Are you warm in your bed?
These are the questions
That spin in my head.
I try to ignore them
So I stop losing sleep
Because I can't help you
That's your job to keep.
So I pray for the morning 
To start a new day
For when I am busy
The thoughts go away
You're not on my mind
Out of my sight
Till my head hits the pillow
It's harder at night

Work Smarter Not Harder

It is ridiculous to think that being peaceful implies weakness.

If you want your peace, you must be willing to fight for it.

As in protests.

If you want to lead a war, you must be a pacifist.

As in manipulation.

That just made it harder

I am quiet sure, I would've left you before.
See, but your smell hung still from the hallway, 
I had no freedom to enter it too.
After seeing girls poppig up, 
couldn't you do it blindly?
Letting me alone?
There are so many rooms..
Why especially the one I so much loved?
The one I couldn't get away from? 
I was pushed through glass, 
across the wall and the other, 
I am sure I am not jelous, 
I hate jelousy.
I hate that it makes me being jelous.
Torn her away away from me, 
nooo she has even brown hair too, 
noooo she even has brown eyes too.
Is it because she is skinnier?
What about her is so alarming?
I love her but 
my ear hurts.
That just made it harder, 
that after you rejected me, I noticed who you loved.

Hustling and juggling
Bustle and giggle 
together to survive
We take things on things
To kill time and pains.

Go humble or discriminate you
Base on how you take package
Many na ant wey dey follow sugar
If dem lick ur sweetness finish
Dem go jakpa go find another.


Use your intellect
Because men dey disguise
Like this old talk
No judge the book by the cover
Shine your eye but no turn beast
Do good and always show kindness
No mean say make you turn fool.

The ladies na our muse in disguise
You broke dem leave you for anoda
That na motivation and inspiration
For the strong, to go harder and win
For the weak, excuse for revenge and more
Our ladies no dey settle for small things
That's why we too dey go harder for higher ground.

Wished He Had Tried Harder with Wife Number One

John did not try hard with his first wife
she was married, he was not
second wife cheated on him
served him right, he deserved that.

third wife was an accident.
They had gotten drunk in Vegas
Too many chapels there
and too many drinks

Fourth wife thought saying “I am his fourth” was funny
Her disposition was dour, she stopped being sunny.
He got tired of her sense of humor.
Fifth wife died of a cancerous leg tumor.

At age ninety-two he just married wife number twenty-one.
Wishing he had tried harder with wife number one.

Even Harder than Chinese

    The hardest language is Vietnamese
    Even harder to pronounce than Chinese
       It sounds like birds chirping
       Or sick locusts slurping
    Ask them to say, ‘French Cruller, pretty please!’

Harder

It's been a while since 
I don't hear one of those words
which lift you up
from the dirt...
a broken tree
comes across my path
could it be just me
blocking my own way...

I don't know the earth
I just know this world
it is getting harder to believe that
there is someone out there...
I feel their eyes
but I don't know this place
I get scared of the thought 
of life being just this.

If loving you harder allowed you to stay then my goal remained the same
All because letting you go was a story words would formulate
It was detriment to my brain
Alter of reality

It was the disappearing of what could have been
The end to my timetable of forever and then
A memory to hold

Praying to keep you closer to home
