Every weekday between three and four a local program we had come to adore
Hosting kids from this school or that
Watching Popeye having a chat
First a debate on the give away treat
something for later or ready to eat
A group of kids seven or eight
today's GiGi popcorn declared not so great
We want Goo Goos in unison spake
joined in one voice to bellyache
Captain Joe looking desperate seizing his chance
Noticed two giggling like ants in their pants
What's so funny please tell it to me
One little kid shrugging I can't say on Tee Bee
With captains ok and in waters uncharted
With her sweet southern drawl airing Hawvy fawted
Kids and old people that's where it's at
Ol' Cap and little missy just chewing the fat
DINGLEO AND GINGLYET
When the Dingly Doo
Met the Gingly Goo,
On the subway late one night.
They fell for one another,
A case of love at first sight.
But the Dingly Doos and the Gingly Goos’
Like the Capulets and Montagues,
Had been sworn enemies for years;
They’d never be allowed to wed.
The thing was doomed to end in tears.
“Dingly Doo, Dingly Doo,
Wherefore art though Dingly Doo?”
The Gingly Goo beseeched.
So they ran away next morning
To find a friar who preached.
“Dingly Doo, Dingly Doo,
Dost thou take this Gingly Goo
To be thy wedded wife?”
“I do, I do”, said the Dingly Doo,
“Though I now fear for my life.”
Mrs. Dingly Doo,
Once Miss Gingly Goo,
Shared one night of love with her beau.
But now he was a wanted man
And so he had to go.
So the Dingly Doo
And the Gingly Goo,
In trying to buck the trend,
Couldn’t re-write history,
And both met a tragic end.
So, you Dingly Doos
And you Gingly Goos,
If you meet on the subway today,
Just remember this cautionary tale.
Turn tail and walk away.

Seven days before Halloween eve
and I have the treats to give free
for all the little children in costumes of delight
that'll make you smile or get the frights
Go ahead and open the bag
so many treats for all to be had
Chocolate bars and chewy chews
lollipops and gooey goos
Eat a few no big deal
so many treats for a child's thrill
Six days out and what do you see
an empty bowl of candy
Get out the bag you bought it big
you paid for it your not a pig
Halloween still days away
you have the discipline to save
One day out and that bag is thin
there's plenty for what your expecting
Take a few to munch away
you got enough for Halloween day
Halloween eve and your house is dark
the curtains drawn before festivities start
Make no sound quiet as a mouse
you become a no candy house
Trick or Treat shame on me
Trick or Treat I couldn't let it be
Trick or Treat I ate all the candy
Trick or Treat I ate all that candy
"BUNDLE OF JOY"
blue eyes blink new life
coos and goos speak from sweet mouth
pink cheeks blush with warmth
happiness for parents proud
thanking God for cry so loud.
