Gate

It was a late night of the lively day, When I returned from the dance theater, I heard a non -stop groaning sound nearby, The sound had come from a ghostly building, I opened the gate of the old mansion, And I found an old wretched mother dog, It was in Godforsaken condition, And it was nearing its menacing grave, I felt grief -stricken on the old mother, What a sad condition the animal had, I wanted to save the mother doggy, I helped the to drink some water, The mom wagged its tail for a reward, In a gossamer way, it was rescued.

Grown Ghostly

Grown up gaunt and ghostly?
Forlorn, forgotten, few.
Holy is the host? Well, see...
Day of wrath, thy dew.

Warlord, hold the highest ground?
Strongest in the sound!
Giant, issue from thy mound!
Blight them with thy bound!

Tyrant of the battlefield?
Come back on thy shield?
Only if the wound's unhealed!
Thunder, how you pealed!

Mercy? Full the harvest moon!
Tympani, thy tune!
Rampart castle, cast the rune!
Bane, bone, bind the boon!

Epic end to story?
O human race, take heed:
Morning, hast thou glory?
Prisoner doomed, just plead...

Bad? Give over what you had?
Storm gods, send thy cloud!
Make the devil mighty glad!
Burial, thy shroud...

Love’s Soft Whisper

Beneath the veil of fading light,
A silent shape slips out of sight.
No words to bind, no flames to burn—
Just shadows folding, slow to turn.

A secret drift on whispered air,
Gone like mist, yet always there.
Farewell, but not the end of trace—
A ghostly dance in time and space.

Though darkness falls to steal the day,
Your memory will light the way.
In quiet echoes, soft and deep,
Your presence lingers while I sleep.

So part we must, but not in vain—
For love’s soft whisper will remain.

No Ships Tonight

The lighthouse hums beneath a ghostly sky,
fog bruises the restless sea's breath,
no ships will come tonight.

Ghostly Heart

In shadows deep, a ghostly heart yearns,
For love unspoken, felt but never seen.
A mortal soul, unaware of the burn,
In dreams they wander, where the spirit's keen.
Through whispered winds, the ghost's soft love will turn,
A gentle touch, a presence felt between.
Though eyes are blind to what the heart can know,
In silent nights, their bond begins to grow.

She Moves Ghostly

In the corner of my mind,
where memories dwell
I see a dream begotten
 ensnared in her elusive spell
from a past so long forgotten

Or is she from the future?
from some far off distant hour
I long to see her reality
But she alone holds the power
To declare her true mortality

This love I feel for her alone
This desperate, painful aching want.
When morning comes does not abate
She won’t reveal, continues to haunt
And I, forlorn , continue to wait

Even nothing wore a crown

Darkness emerged from a creepy black shadow,
Bringing along silence with its spooky loads,
If not for the scary croaks of flirting toads,
The loud silence would have begged to have a foe.

As the night sky unfolded its sombre frowns,
Towering trees loomed, casting an eerie light.
The silhouettes of their branches, a haunting sight,
In that gloom, even nothing wore ghostly crowns.

Moonbeams cast shadows through my window
With a ghostly dance upon the wall
I am haunted by Luna's pale glow
 As shadows grow tall
Dreams will haunt till dawn lifts the ghostly pall

The Ghostly Forrest

Beneath the ghostly moon's silent gaze,
Lies a forest shrouded in a spectral haze.
Where twisted trees claw at the sky,
And shadows dance as the winds sigh.

A place where the veil is thin and frail,
And spirits wander, their faces pale.
The air is thick with whispers old,
Of secrets dark and stories untold.

The ground is soft with fallen leaves,
A carpet of decay that the earth weaves.
Each step is hushed, a silent tread,
In the realm of the living and the dead.

The ghostly forest, a liminal space,
Where time stands still, without a trace.
Here, the lost souls find their rest,
In the embrace of the earth's cold breast.

An owl hoots, a lonesome call,
As night creatures begin their nocturnal sprawl.
The forest breathes, a sigh so deep,
Rocking its ghostly children to sleep.

So tread lightly through the spectral wood,
Respect the silence, as all should.
For in the ghostly forest's heart,
The line between worlds is but a fragile art.

who then rings
thy solitary bell
whose voice cuts through
the mist

and lowly darkness
winter’s eve
there far off
screaming fox

when unseen eyes
then look upon
from trees that hide
in cloak

and footsteps
cast a moments chill
in nights a’slashing
throat

that call, a face
    porcelain
pressed against glass
and dead eyes wrought
from an attic room
    watching us

her name badge was
irrelevant
  “No, those top rooms
  are not used, full
of junk and all locked up”
yet the face watched us
leave; into

Phantom's Guide

Phantoms roam the night with ease,
Their haunting presence makes us freeze.
With silent steps and ghostly grace,
They glide and float through time and space.
Their wispy forms and eerie glow,
Send shivers down our spines, you know.
But fear not, for there's a guide,
A psychopomp to be your side.
A jolly ghost with a wicked grin,
He'll take you safely through the din.
So don't be scared of phantoms here,
With our friend, there's nothing to fear.

My Old Dog - a Ghostly Monologue

There's a hospice for sick children, in the woods by where I live
and many times I wonder, just what I wouldn't give
to hear those small kids laugh, and play again.

It was just two Christmases ago, I woke up in the cold
to see my dog had died, he was very very old.
But that year, Christmas didn't come at all.

We put his ashes in the woods, 'neath the big old Maple Tree,
told my boy, his dog was chasing rabbits, wild and free,
and deep inside, I knew that it was true.

Last Christmas Eve I saw the funeral hearse, drive to the home
to collect some poor mother's child, and put them the loam.
Then I heard the leaves rustle in the woods.

And, in that quietest of nights, as I lay there in the dark,
I heard the children's laughter, and a low happy bark.
My old dog is in the wood; playing catch.

GHOSTLY

Last year vividly I can remember:
         An unusual event happened, wierd.
         Experienced in month of December,
sending me direct to another world .

         Scary memory continued to brood,
Same spot called and compelled me to visit
that hilltop. On peak at edge boldly stood.
Someone pushed me and I failed to resist.

Penetrating through me he came in front.
Being astounded, shouted in great wrath.
He could not understand how to confront!
I burst to laughter in merry and mirth.

I spoke in joy, 'Ghost, you pushed me last year.
I had a great fall facing death: Instant.
Now both of us are running in same gear.
Me also have turned GHOST, to give you same stunt.
