Generation X

Written By: D. Collins 12/12/23

I'm noting how the new generation will not be fooled.
Lead into going all out in deep throating the Jews.
There are multiple ways and multiple avenues.
Which means, they see videos not on the nightly news.

After 75 years, they see all the hidden truth.
There's nothing more you can hide from the youth.
People are people and all of them deserve to live.
That's what all young'uns see in Palestinian kids.

They're saying if it happened to them, what about us?
If bombs and bulldozers turned our cities into dust.
They see children suffering slightly younger than them.
And, they don't give a damn about color or religion.

I know I shouldn’t overgeneralize
So I’m not talking about every single one of you.

There’s one thing that shocks me and
I just have to spit it out and get it off my chest.

It boggles my mind and I really want to know
How did you learn to never say thank you?

Is it from being deluged with abundance
Senselessly and shamelessly since birth?

Is it from thinking it’s never enough
Or knowing inside it’s really too much?

You’re deliberately withholding and
We’re just not getting the memo.

Your silence holds an obvious message
As loud and clear as a slap in the face.

Are you bucking at this nasty habit we have
Of deciding for you what you might want

While we could just filling your pockets
With our abundance of free money?

Premium Member Millennial Versus Generation X

When I was growing up, I wasn’t given a tissue,
I was expected to stand on my feet,
I was told to find my own way in life,
I was expected to walk on the street,

Entitled to nothing, worked for my needs,
Never awarded for just showing up,
And folks talked honest, hard and harsh words,
I’d sweat to earn me a buck,

But millennials these days, the softest on Earth,
Expect things without raising a hand,
And the things they demand are to fabricate life,
Real feelings they just don’t understand,

Too busy in bedrooms, glued to the net,
Pretending is their main mistake,
Experiencing real, honest and fair is for me,
While it seems they prefer to be fake.

06 Generation X

Another year upon us
raw and longing
Swallow the feeling
and nonsense they're feeding
Corruption of souls
out of control
Missing in action
disasters are maximum
Defenses, expenses
apparent regreting
Incisive decisions
still failing their missions
Brainwashed from the womb
lead astray through bitter days
Broken wing in fields a blaze
programed to the pain
Follow the leader
that bleeds you dry
Follow the leader
that helps you die
Never ending
mothers cry
Same old story
diffrent times.
