When life leaves you lemons
deserved or not
some sunny summer's day
neither fret nor sweat
if citrus is all you've got
to show for your lot
to keep the blues at bay
be creative pull out all stops
keep calm stay cool
either squish or get off the pot
think of a drink
(old fruit)
and you're made in the shade
easy peasy lemon squeezy
simply put... make

The bold horizon burned and died
cold in my eyes as I turned aside
on the road to nowhere
taking it slow
making it easy
in no hurry to go
I'm taking my time
for I never felt the need
to heed the latest mad fad
or follow the current day's craze
yet I don't fret or sweat
the small stuff
but I did learn
soon enough
the tide

Idly Fret

I'm sitting with device in hand, 
Trapped in forked thought,
Derailed, enqueued, attention spanned,
All plot but ought for naught. 

Zephyr-jostled oriel,
Jalousie jingle jets,
Venetian piped boreal,
Cochlear tingle sets.

Typing taps of tip-toed pitter-patter,
The thumbs' chagrin of screen,
Ticking ornamental chatter,
As if later's to be seen.

Body borborygmus begs,
Tasks at hand be dealt,
Rather held in barreled keg,
And later burst in welt.

Darkness deals with your dusty dirty wares,
Shadows shine, shimmering in sheering sears,
Stars twinkle topmost on the tossing trees,
To crisply cuddle the blistering breeze.

Fearless forests friends forbid foolish spies,
Listen long, lively laughter lifts

Don'T Fret It - Write It

lives clogged with gadgetry
          like drains on overflow
young minds scurried atop tech pitchforks
                                 

Mosquitoes On a Flesh Rest

Some things you at last get
And still eyes with tears wet,
Others you scramble to get
And failing Shabby Anger let …

Have we each other met,
When our eyes had to be wet
And a need to Virulent Anger let?

Why is everyone upset?
I sink down in regret
