Fret not

Fret not by Adejola Joseph
Fret not
Fear is a beast
It invades you if you allow it
It conquers you if you succumb to it
But fear is powerless
On its own it cannot bite
So, fret not
I see fear in a glance
It's like a shadow in a trance
So, fret not
Leave!
Grief!
Fear!
Shadow!
Blank!
Fear is a wanderer
A roaming spirit
So, fret not
Fear is a toothless dog
A virgin's fright
So, fret not
Nothing can kill me
No fear can harm me
Invisible as wind
The unkillable
Fear not
Fret not
Fear.
