Let the Life Under the Umbrellas

Let’s leave the cats
Thinking like cats,
Stretch and sleep,

Let’s leave the turtles,
Thinking like turtles,
Love the green salad,

Let’s leave the oranges,
Thinking like oranges,
With sweet orange juice,

Let the girls
Think like girls
With black rimmel on the eyes,

Let us listen
Soften thoughts
By Jean Sebastian Bach,

Let’s leave the flowers
In the wild
Thinking like flowers,

Let’s leave the French
Think like French people,
Take care of everything,

Let’s leave the sky,
All pink in Oregon,
All blue in Marseille,

Let’s leave the dogs
Bark like a dog.
Thinking that people are bad,

Let’s leave the table,
Think like a table,
At the lunch hour.

Let’s leave the rabbit,
Think like a rabbit,
Being afraid of everything,
Stew with brown sauce,

Let’s leave the words
Think like words,
Write our poems,

Let’s give time
Slip through the fingers,
Thinking about tomorrow,

Let’s leave the sea
Go down to the sea,
Think like water,

Let the life,
Think like us,
That all ends one day,
Even love,

Let’s leave the cats,
Thinking like cats,
Stretch and sleep,

Let the life
Under the umbrellas,
Let’s all enjoy her.

Their national day with pride

French people celebrated

Along the streets of fair Nice

Voracious death awaited*

(c) Demetrios Trifiatis
          15 July 2016

*Another deadly terrorist attack took place yesterday in Nice, France,
during the national day celembrations, leaving behind more than eighty
dead and over 150 injured. When all this will end?

Carnage By the Savages

Parisians were enjoying a lovely evening
and their Joie De Vivre was radiating;
every joyful eye in the Concert Hall, in restaurants, in cafés,
in the Stadium and busy streets captivated stunning images!

A revengeful voice rose from within the young, swaying crowd;
bullets flew to kill them randomly while outside all windows
rattled and glass shattered like crystals! Shot people dropped to the sidewalks:
terror had began! Everywhere one turned there was carnage
by the savages: some fled to safety as gunshots continued!
Chaos spread quickly than fire! Paris the city of " Liberte' " was under siege!

Express your sympathy for the French People who have experienced Hell,
bring your flag and flowers and light a candle where they were shot and fell;
Paris mourns: the Eiffel Tower is darker than the streets that lack their harmony!
Paris is that iconic symbol of Liberty which her brave sons fought for so gallantly!

My poem is dedicated to Paris:
the City Of Lights and Liberte'.

Pray For Paris

I’m all shocked and confused
after watching the news
hostages, bombings and shoot-
ings, this is really too much
I can’t do much
so my mission
is to pray for all the victims
their families and the millions
of French people all over the world

A Rose By Any Other Name

A Rose by Any Other Name

Wouldn’t you know it
The French people rule
Inventing a pill
That makes farting cool
A wee little pill
You take when you eat
So that gas from your cheeks
Smells ever so sweet
Violets or roses
Or chocolate perfume
Instead of foul odors
Permeate the whole room
They even have those
You can feed to your dog
If you’ve got the kind
That lets out a foul fog
And a special this week
If you buy at least three
They will send you a fourth
And the shipping is free
I don’t make these things up
Pilulepet.com
Get some for your pets
Or for your dad and mom
May your holiday smells
Be something you’d like
That’s a holiday wish
From your old Uncle Mike

Egg For Breakfast

Egg For Breakfast

Did you know
That the French people
Only have one egg for breakfast
As they find that
Un oeuf is enough.
