Premium MemberMy Love Awaits

That is the path I've chosen,
covered with soft blades of grass
hedged with variegated hostas,
and moonlight filtering
through hanging willow trees.
The winding path tilts slightly uphill,
towards a wooden pergola
that glimmers in the darkness,
a temple built in paradise
for my lovely Marguerite.

I have planned my life's purpose,
I know so clearly the urge to live,
my priceless gift from Cupid
cleansing the humdrum of this life.
The nightingale enlivens the silence,
full moon oozes limpid serenity,
the glow worms twinkle lovingly
like a myriad of faraway stars.
A lonely breeze caresses my face
but cannot quench the thirst
nor quell the boiling of my blood
nor the hunger I feel for her.

I gaze upon her lovely face
Chiaroscuro in the moonbeams
A painting mightier than any Madonna
that emanated from Fra Filippo Lippi
Or an intimate impression by Renoir.
Yet like these famous portraits of old
Our love forever will survive.

left many altar pieces on show

Premium MemberBlack Halo

Fra Angelico Sermon on the Mount
Jesus and his tight knit group
the pristine sculptured scene
breathtaking and serene
a halo light surrounds the head
of keen ears leaning in
it’s as if the disciples have died
and gone to heaven to relive
this ultimate speech
robe’d in blue, red and pinks
yet there’s a disparity, a blot
Judas’ halo is black
he’s nothing more
than a crescent moon
to be blown off the mountain peak
be the absentee scourge
remembered no more
floored
to the basement of hell
O that each one a saint
bereft of sins’ chains
the silver in his grip
a shark in their midst
shamed, shamed
by the Lord in chains
who’d die for him
a lame duck
who’d not embrace
the words of God’s lips
as if they were life itself

Forfaldne Hav

Forfaldne hav

En gang
fra havet
kom til mig en dråbe forsigtigt
suk:

for din elskede årsag, min kærlighed.

Premium MemberWhat Does the Fox Say

when heart is broken
and wings can no longer fly
  what does the fox say?

  world turned to chaos
gays and lesbians were arise
   what does the fox say?

    terminator came
Obama provides healthcare
  what does the fox say?

   cold evening and gleam
two souls meet and turned off light
   what does the fox say

    Fra-ka-ka-ka-kaw!
Let us give them time to work it
  Hush! they need to mate.

Note//: I dedicate the sound that fox used to create when they mate;
"fra-kaka-kaka-kow!!!" to PS' loveliest poet, SKAT.

Brown-Nosing and Such

a sestet

If I didn't know what I know about truth
I'd give a wink, join the ranks of the uncouth.
Logical conclusion when dealing with guile:
Half-truths are just exaggeration's test
hyperbole - inaccuracy at best.
Little white lies? spout off, and smile.

"Thus yellow does for white (behind your back),
when what you put for yellow's, simply black."
to quote Fra Lippo Lippi's epigram
In conversation with someone who lies;
one-up-put-downmanship is not so wise.
Pretending to lie is just one more sham.

Little Bird

Little bird in my yard
he sprang, with out guard.

His foot is mending
his wings now bending.

Flying up and away
his little feet still fra.

He spent three days
in my garage.

His little life
almost a marage.

Yet now he flys
up toward bright blue skies.

Oh my what do I see,
clearing my eyes.

Here he comes
right back towards me.

Poem To Magee -Italian Translation

Poesia per Magee

Poem to Magee- Italian

C'è stato
un momento
un incredibile istante
quando ho ardito attraversare
la linea invisibile
eretta con tanta cura
fra di noi
per proteggere
i nostri soffici
muti segreti

come potevo sapere
che non sarebbe esistita
 un'altra te

eppure
con un solo battito del cuore
privo di ragione
privo di freno
attraversandola sono entrato nel tuo mondo
e ti ho scoperta
il mio primo vero amore
nella mia stretta
e nella mia
vita

come potevo sapere
che non sarebbe esistita
un'altra te
