In rapid succession, I jab my push-broom
Through footpath in which I walk life..."ch..ch..ch"
Clearing debris, so when i'm barefoot, I don't...

                                                      step on shards of glass.

Strides along the lonely road fearlessly
the foredoomed lily groans with pain needlessly.
                       We gaze at the dazzling
                         sunshine unremittingly.
                        We pour the unflagging
                       idea of bliss unhesitatingly.
                         To our claim he relinquished
                         by our prospect is relished.
                           The unflinching dove sings
                           His starlit heart never stings.
Our heedless world a main, long-lived agony
hopes for the generation of being sunny.

Parting Ways

On the dulled edge of day and night
The faint moon rising in the sky
In shadows of the fading light

Along the footpath we would go,
Passing the birch tree’s silver boughs
Where the wild spindle berry grow.

Where moss covered trees cast their shade,
Where the watchful owl silent sat
Night creatures stirring in the glade.

Hand in hand we went on our way,
As the clock ticked on darkened hours
Along that path we would not stay

When that approaching day was born,
As the first waking song bird sang
We would part on that stirring morn.

The Footpath

To walk the old footpath with steady tread
Where mists and steep sloped hills obscure the view.
And see, along the way, inside my head
The ghosts of those dear friends whom once I knew.

Beyond aged trees and ancient field’s span,
Hidden horizons meet the distant sky
Where history has trod and changed the land,
To the free wind’s soft song and raptor’s cry

Along winding lane and fast flowing brook
Where playful child once found his destined way.
Age old hamlet or Autumn’s ripe corn’s stook
Where spirited youth spent too short a day.

Long past are those dear friends who trod those ways,
But forever the ancient footpath stays.

Footpath

G-ray clouds disappear,
L-onely teardrops vanish;
O-pen both your eyes, see the raindrops diminish.

S-aturday twenty-eight January
O-bliterates the cold night;
M-isty Friday fades away,
O-n the rise of sunlight.
Z-ealously seek the right way to escape from God's wrath;
A-llow the light to guide you, as you walk on the footpath.

Old Footpath

Found myself walking in the woods alone
eeking my way along old paths almost gone
every step missing you
to this very day.

The Footpath

The footpath to eternity

Crosses our sea of time

Beyond

Horizon of mortality,

Where in Heaven sublime,

Souls bond.
