Quite often it seems subdued
But in need of a little support
Best avioded any kind of fude
When in that moment caught

The constsnt change in mood
Because she is now distraught
The sudden change of attitude
But a battle l have never fought

Though don't be missconstude
What she'd often smoke or snort
I mean it is not my kind of food
Never given a second thought

A follow up to a stark reallity and chassing the
Light written 2014....

Food for Thought

A fireboat goes zipping by;
A seaplane glides across the sky.
Not many folks around, but I
Am glad to be outside.

A group of sparrows swoop and fly
While joggers, on a runner’s high,
Race past, as, with a saddish sigh,
Some elders must decide

If they should sit or maybe try
To push ahead, no longer spry.
I understand their reasons why,
The past a faulty guide.

The ferry empties. Rules apply
For disembarking; most comply.
My time for heading home is nigh,
My food for thought supplied.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Cabinets of plenty
Are only in dreams
For por folk
Of meager means

Sustenance becomes game
The one with the money reins
Obligation yields just enough
To wet the thickened veins

Movement around food
Becomes slithering on the board
If you are going to win
Subtleties can never be ignored

Hyper-vigilance at the core
Influencing the communication without
Never allowing true desire
To flaunt the heart about

This may be news to regular folk
Who have never known scarcity
To eat and drink without thought
Is truly a precious gift of rarity

Some forms of soup both hot and cold to exercise the stomach, there's quite a few
borscht, gazpacho, minestrone, mulligatawny, cock a leekie and there's a gumbo too

So many forms of poetry to exercise the mind,
ABC, Cape diem, Crown of Sonnets, Double Dactyl, Villanic and Verse,
Could it be that soup and poetry are somehow aligned ?

For all the years of consuming many different kinds of soup, a natural way made sense
This new found discovery of poetic form, yet come to grips
It's still in a metaphoric thinking paddock, divided by a fence

Learning sometimes feels like mind is travelling in a thick pea souper fog
A diversion, clearly now the time is ripe, on a different site will log

And yes there is alignment !! Found a literary group
Wondered why it took so long to discover Poetry Soup

His cream puffs will fill a crony
But food for have nots is phony
Donald’s a great cook
And serves each poor schnook
Trump steaks—No wait…it’s baloney!

change

change
is all so sudden

like a caterpillar
in their cocoon
wondering if
they will emerge as a beautiful butterfly
or suffocate in its
supposed coffin
or brand new
space to grow and learn

shade of the universe

Energy is emerald green
Casting me in cerebral sea
Lasting for eternity
Fasting yet eating poetry

food for thought

Swims in saline and fresh water
After living in sea returns to river
Loves to jump, swims upstream
Makes most of odor memories
Obstacles on journey aplenty
Needs cold, clean water to live lively

Some think we’re only here,
by chance.

So their perspective on life;
 it’s a dime a dance.

They fail to acknowledge,
a higher power.

Jesus is the one who allows,
each bud to flower.

But once the music stops
it’s time to pay.

We’ll stand before a Holy God
on judgment day.

Food thats good i beleive you'll find? raw milk
Not the usual, therm-ed out kind.
Link up with farmers, you can volunteer!!
Supply some spirit, spread more cheer
The bowler hatted farmer knows' his
Onions along with dear old Vobes'
And Brooks no nonsense Chris is in.'
That people power is starting to spin.!
A couple of million will do for starters
You can now show the world..
Who are? the real'
Useless farters.)

It isn’t a question,
of whether I have a testimony to communicate.
But it’s rather,
what kind of message am I communicating
with my testimony.

Grocery shopping seems to now have become a stressful event
The cost of food seems to be rising daily with more money having to be spent
Our very existence relies on what we have to eat, not that bottle of wine
People who give out those free samples, we have to jostle just to get in line
Items that are on sale disappear as fast as they hit the shelves
I think it is time to get some help, possibly from Santa's elves
Some individuals seem to think their shopping carts are go-carts as they weave in and out of aisles
Remember the days you could exchange pleasantries and people would crack a smile
Money may not be able to buy you happiness but it should be able to put nourishing food on the table
Being able to afford things that are essential for some has become a crisis, not a modern-day fable
Business owners are certainly allowed to make a profit
However, lining their pockets while emptying ours seems to be somewhat dishonest

For those who smoke
Take more drugs for therapy
To avoid stroke.

Steady Eddie was always ready
For meatballs and spaghetti.

Dan the man was a big fan
Of eating eggs with boiled ham.

Bob the slob was on the job
To chew away corn on the cob.

Mitt the git could hardly sit
When served a bowl of shrimp & grits.

Jake the snake, numb as a hake
Just adored potato and steak.

Tricky Ricky who looked all sickly
Finds it all to be quite icky!
