My Flesh and Blood

“I AM life’s Bread,”
The Lord, Jesus, said
He never faltered
Words ne’er altered
“I AM the Way.”
They turned away
Couldn’t bear the thought
Of what He taught
“Eat My Flesh, drink My Blood.”
Yet no one could
It was the law
There was no flaw
This new teaching
Seemed to be breaching
What they always knew
Obeyed as a Jew
They couldn’t see
This was He
Who gave this Word
They’d always heard
Who made the change
That seemed so strange
“Eat My Flesh, drink My Blood.”
They couldn’t see this was good
New Covenant to bring them to
The very same God, Who
Willed from the beginning
Despite our sinning
For all to come to be
With Him eternally
That He gave His Flesh and Blood
On that holy wood
By His death on the Cross
We gained from His loss
The very Life of His
In the Holy Eucharist
His Flesh for me to eat
For it is just and meet
His Precious Blood outpoured
To be worshipped and adored
For only by the merits of He
Could we enjoy Heaven’s eternity
Since by our grievous fault
We closed the Heav’nly vault
He made for us a new way
By life-giving words He did say
“This is My Body, this is my Blood”
Take and eat, take and drink as you should

Love Is Flesh and Blood

love is flesh and blood
when given to the white rose
the flower turns red

Flesh and Blood- Ian Munywe

Flesh and blood-Ian Munywe©
Though I do not say,
I can see.
Though I am mum,
I take notice.
Though I am still,
I tremble.
Though I do not sing,
I can hear.
Though I stay,
I could be leaving.
Sooner,
than later.
Though I transgress,
I am seeking redemption.
Though I seek truth,
I lie.
Though I stand firm,
I anticipate a fall.
Though I foresee new beginnings,
I fear for abrupt endings.
Though I grapple,
 and tussle with life.
I am only a man,
flesh and blood.

FLESH AND BLOOD

flesh and blood —
He became.
down from his royal throne,
a little lower than the angels,
who waited
to serve Him
at his beloved call.

flesh and blood —
His,
to save us.
He who was rich
became poor.
the King of Glory —
born,
in a humble stable.

flesh and blood —
firsthand
experience of our pain,
our temptations,
from fetus to adulthood.

flesh and blood —
bread and wine,
dipped
in death’s sorrow.
and He says:
Come!
Eat and Drink,
experience with Him —
LIFE!

Hebrews 2:14 Since the children have flesh and blood, HE too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power if death — that is, the devil—

Make No Bones About Flesh and Blood

M-ake no bones about flesh and blood,
A-nyone is mistake-prone;
E-ven though he wants not to sin,
D-evilish acts work against his own.
E-xpress the fact about flesh and blood, for they are the product of creation;
L-ord Almighty God in heaven is the source of truthful information.

H-ave to make no bones
E-specially about flesh and blood;
R-eal meaning of life is taught
N-o other than by only one God.
A-bout flesh and blood make no bones,
N-o man on earth lasts forever;
D-eath comes anywhere, anytime,
E-ven if one has
Z-eal to breathe air.

L-et me make no bones
A-bout flesh and blood;
C-orret me if I'm wrong,
U-sing the pure words of God.
A-s you speak direct to the point,
T-wenty-second July God owns;
A-bout flesh and blood better make no bones.

Flesh and Blood

Flesh and Blood
Dedicated to my brother Nick

I’m sick of the games you play
Being selfish in every way
So easy for you to point the blame
Never the one to take the shame

This is my flesh and blood
And I’m gonna save him from your flood
I’ll carry him through the end
If that’s what it takes
To watch his broken heart mend

Through the years
My brother had to bottle up the tears
Rejected because he was different from the rest
Set up to fail every single test

This is my flesh and blood
And I’m gonna save him from your flood
I’ll carry him through the end
If that’s what it takes
To watch his broken heart mend

You, You hypocrite!
You’re just a fake
I’m gonna laugh when this is thrown back in your face
I dare you to give him your best shot
Because I’m gonna be there to give you all that I got
Everyone is shoving him to curb
So I’m gonna give you what you deserve

This is my flesh and blood
And I’m gonna save him from your flood
I’ll carry him through the end
If that’s what it takes
To watch his broken heart mend

Solid stone or grainy sand
Flesh and blood is love.

Premium Member Man Is More Than Flesh and Blood

All men will…
Will leave a legacy
After life’s journey comes to an end
This is something to think about
In these times of uncertainties
We weave intrinsically, our “eternity”
Man is more than flesh and blood
Our spirit never dies
Daily, we choose

Whether consciously or not
Moment by moment
A word uttered can not die
Cannot become void
But rides a wind into forever
Awaiting accountability
Man is more than flesh and blood
Our spirit never dies
Daily, we choose

Flesh and Blood

He is my flesh and blood
For we are forever connected
Troubled from birth, he knows no peace
He dreams of a normal life
Yet instead he is forced to live in constant pain

When I look in to his eyes
I see his beautiful soul
For he is slowly drowning
With every passing day he loses strength
I want to save him, but I can’t imagine how

I sit on the sidelines, watching the world pass him by
I live in constant fear and sorrow
For he is my flesh and blood
Wondering will this boy ever be free

Such a gifted and caring person
His brain his very own prison
He has never harmed anyone so why is he condemned to live the live he lives?
He wants to be normal
He DREAMS of being happy

He is my flesh
He is my blood
I wonder everyday if today is the day that we must part

I have never loved someone
Who I hate just as much

The bruises always fade
The hysteria always clams
Injuries heal
But my heart will forever always be scarred…

You Are My Flesh and Blood

(This is a fictional poem)

When I held you in my arms for the first time, I was blessed.
I love you more than life itself, you truly are the best.
You're my daughter and I'm proud to be your dad.
When I see you happy, it always makes me glad..
You are my flesh and blood and I only want the best for you.
You will grow up to be one hell of a lady, that's certainly true.
