Flesh and Blood

FLESH AND BLOOD

flesh and blood —
He became.
down from his royal throne,
a little lower than the angels,
who waited
to serve Him
at his beloved call.

flesh and blood —
His,
to save us.
He who was rich
became poor.
the King of Glory —
born,
in a humble stable.

flesh and blood —
firsthand
experience of our pain,
our temptations,
from fetus to adulthood.

flesh and blood —
bread and wine,
dipped
in death’s sorrow.
and He says:
Come!
Eat and Drink,
experience with Him —
LIFE!
