My beautiful shadow

My girl is wild, she’s a rock-star’s child.
She lives in secrets I’ll never understand.
She can’t be defined; she never makes plans.
Drawn into my world, there’s no escape from her destination. She revels in the dark of my experimentation. My obsession with killing she finds thrilling. My life’s is destruction, anything to make me feel. She is a suicidal mentor, still searching for something real.

She hijacks my dreams; she whispers dangerous things. Her words seeping into my veins.
She takes her pleasures with whom she likes,
Her fate dancing on a razored knife.

She smokes cigars from Cuba, I taste the fire when we kiss. She smells of Cohiba, an intoxicating bliss. All eyes are on her when we enter a room, She’s flamboyant, enchanting, she has a flair, for dressing up doom.
I watch her every move, wherever we go,
My dangerous muse, my beautiful shadow.

My girl is wild, she’s a rock-star’s child.
She lives in secrets I’ll never understand.
She can’t be defined; she never makes plans.
Her face imprinted deep in my brain —
A rock-star’s child gone insane.

Premium Member The Quest For Perfection

Today,
somewhere in this world,
without fuss or a funerary
prayer, a lifeform
has gone extinct.
It probably passed unnoticed,
its last lonely moment spent
bleeding beneath a log
or gasping in a shallow pond
with its gills clogged with silt
or sliding down the gullet
of a predator.
How brutal the path is,
the sheer waste,
the cruel experimentation
whether mindful or mindless
by something hidden
from us as it pursues
its pointless quest
for perfection.

Culinary creativity
and experimentation
"Smashed potatoes...
I garnish them basil
Partially douse in salt"
Sensory delight
 and pleasure
"Boredom in the water...
Popped and butter
What a tasty substance"
Joy and satisfaction
 "Numb, numb yum mashed
Creative and playful
Expression of culinary delight
And the joy of cooking

Scriptural reinforcement

- 1 Corinthians 10:31: "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."
- Deuteronomy 8:10: "When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the Lord your God for the good land which He has given you."
- Acts 2:46: "Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts."

When it came to love
I had no real plan
I know I wanted to connect in an intimate way
with experimentation and playfulness

I was short on experience
there was a pandemic
I’d had few ‘at-bats’
that’s a sports metaphor

Much of it seemed surreal and abstract
like we’d entered another realm of everyday places
there was a subtle unpredictability
that was unfiltered, instinctive and unapologetically unhinged

freedom permeated every element
still, our collaboration allowed for honest conversation
I remember asking, “What are we doing?”
Thinking back, It underlined how vastly different our two experiences were

Masterpiece

When you can't find peace,
And just need to release,
These pent up energies,
Remember this please,
Life can be a mess.
It's a work in progress,
Sometimes you have to guess,
Mess with the colors a bit,
See what you discover.
Did you uncover a new technique?
Each person's path is unique,
You tweak it here,
Tweak it there,
Brush strokes are everywhere.
Like strands of spaghetti,
It doesn't look pretty,
Petty patterns interrupt me,
Disrupting the flow,
They're helping to grow,
Into the life you want to know.
Showing piece by piece,
Picture your perfect peace,
Release all expectation,
Creation is a masterpiece,
Based in experimentation.

Acrylic

I take a step back and look at my canvas with inches of acrylic paint piled on as a result of trial and error.
Something is off.
Are the tones mismatched?
Why is it unbalanced?
Do I no longer like the subject matter?
I bite at my nails, I bounce my leg, my eyes dart from corner to corner.
Did I do something wrong?
I inhale and fixate on my palette.
Charcoal Gray, Crimson Red, Canary Yellow.
Beautiful, but wrong to me.
My hands open and the colors drop to the floor.
I rummage through the additional shades and pull out the one that is identical to the canvas.
The canvas I haven’t seen in years. The canvas riddled with subjective mistakes. The canvas that endured a lifetime of experimentation.
I untwist the cap, dip the brush directly inside, and slather the canvas.
Though the acrylic grew thicker and the texture of my previous strokes remained,
I was starting new.

Wisdom

A candle burning in a peaceful and tranquil state,
In its flicker, reflect on past and present, successes and mistakes,
In its glow, absorb the radiations of actions and thoughts,
With it light many candles, share the wisdom in its pure and powerful state.

As a child, I imitated elders,
Parents words of wisdom still dictate my life,
Speak words which does not hurt others,
Appreciate good in others,
Knowledge teaches, Wisdom listens.

Gather some wisdom thru experimentation,
Explore new ideas and bold imaginations,
Help solve past problems, and create new hope for the future,
It is a wisdom gained and never denied.

The Mechanical Nature of Reincarnation

A hundred years from now
or in the next moment
I will be dead, gone and back.

Not this 'I' with its sticky ego
gumming up the works;
forever tinkering, jury-rigging
a mental machinery
that was always poorly designed.

Most likely, baby me, is already out
of the chimeric soup,
he or she probably
made of spare parts also.

Are we are all variants
created in a biological laboratory
purposely put together flawed,
'try outs' tested
to see what works best?

Constant experimentation is important.
Reincarnation but an instant
then we are out the door once more
clanking around

A Deep Mistery Quest

life, strange mixture
of what was not,
but it should be...
what was it,
but I shouldn't
have been...
that trip back
where we came from,
but we didn't learn...
But we should learn...
to go back again
and better to do!
Learning to be angels...
Training of Gods,,,
perpetuators of eternities,
divine experimentation...
What is life?
What should it be?

Back Again

A hundred years from now
or in the next moment
I will be dead, gone and back.

Not this 'I' with its sticky ego
gumming up the works;
forever tinkering, jury-rigging
a mental machinery
that was always poorly designed.

Most likely, baby me, is already out
of the chimeric soup,
he or she probably
made of spare parts also.

Are we are all variants
created in a biological laboratory
purposely put together flawed,
'try outs' tested
to see what works best?

Constant experimentation is important.
Reincarnation but an instant
then we are out the door once more
clanking around

trying to look normal
but we won't know 'normal'
until we find it.
