And Thats All
David J Walker
(12/16/2024)
The young girl disguised
in mascara aged rage
report a frayed journey
kidnapped in time.
How am I to remember you
without a calendar of event
without a program of pictures
without a caption of laments
and itemized legers of expenditures
and renumerations ?
I know your name
And that’s all
I know your sins
because
I am one of them
And that’s all
The statute of
Lamentations
illuminations and
Limitations
Has long since passed
And that’s all
The young boy speaks from
The distorting mirror
funhouse mirror
carnival mirror
Into broken mirrors
Of broken glass
From times far past
And that’s all
He was holding
Your young hand
In innocence
And that’s all
A nature food chain
Linkng the carnivorous and the herbivorous
May be simple
And so an economic food chain within man
The rich and the poor
The poor works hard for the rich with low wage
But when the rich dumps the rubbish
The poor can collect it and sell for some money
Garbage in a disposable bag
May be useless to the rich
But a treasure to the poor
A nature food chain can be complex
too
The same for man's during the rise in prices
The seller only raises the prices to get the same profits
But the buyer pays the extra expenditures
Without someone sharing the burden
The chain goes on and on
And the rich becomes richer
And the poor remains poorer
I told him to create an account
and write me a poem
you won't believe his recount
this will compel you to focus
he said he wasn't allowed to
that it would be one document
when if he would just do
it would be a different occupant
When he was still working
they have a device to snap up temperatures
he would say he had to proceed clerking
and do it himself when that wasn't his expenditures
in other words he didn't check them
and would leave for work pretending
earlier than his shift he would stem
and leave me at home depending
It's not just me he does this to he's sleek
he told a friend he had to be at work two hours early
when that wasn't the case I'm proof as I speak
to refrain from dealing with confrontation surely
which is what he's trying to spout
the expert in escapism
though prisoner he's not no doubt
I hope this stops soon for I'm not into barbarism
While Trump Spends and Will Squander
While Trump did spend and also will squander;
Excessive expenditures have been big blunder;
He did shatter,
Laughing matter;
Mis-spelled words do exist in spell he is under.

Oh! My gosh. What is it with the girly girl
Adventure?
They say looking great is a lure
To capture
An amore. To me that's a whole other
Venture.
I am such an amateur.
I am not looking for any more pressure.
Now on to the brochure
Which supposedly has the beauty cure.
Their prices are not high on expenditures
It features
Hair cut to style which includes shampoo,
Dry, make over, manicure,
And pedicure
All done at our leisure.
For our listening pleasure
All work will be done to the overture
Of Bach which some deemed as torture.
Any way the end result was everyone comes
Out a beautiful relaxed creature
Who has been in hiding like a lost treasure.
We are supposedly feeling less insecure,
And more sure,
Of our future.
I need a picture.
It Will Never Happen (Maybe)
Ceremony for the "Gods" The Law, you must attend
Taking turns (now Region One) Freely, (or pretend)
All about expenditures (where taxpayer dollars go)
Transparency? We promised you, we'll keep you in the "know"
Your fair share, (as always) Eighty-four percent
Deducted from allotment that you get for Food and Rent
Let me see, "that leaves you" Exactly, Almost Nil
Now add to that your debt (you owe) for the simple health care bill
Do not fret, you'll get your check (usually on the third)
all of it will balance out, but to taxpayers that's absured
They can request a hearing, before the I R S
rest assured they're treated fair (no reason for distress)
Your government takes care of you, no need for you to worry
their main concern the taxpayer (rebellion filled with fury)
Thought of moving, did you? Life's better "across the border"?
Not needed now, (they took it down) "We are one", The new World Order.....

Find Left Behind
Money flow follow and are sure to find,
Expenditures which were left behind;
Resigned to fact,
May lose tract,
Of all the trails having been left behind.
Jim Horn
Money scarcity
low circulation
high prices
High demand
More expenditures
less earned
Paid goods not delivered
The delivered not paid
Borrowing for debts
Accumulation of misfortune
death of loved ones
More crimes committed
A life of inequalities
Time is boundless when you're young.
You want school days to fly
so in summer you'll be sprung
loose upon the world. Touch sky,
Butterfly! Vitality is yours; songs unsung
will surely come by and by.
One day you go away,
leave home, friends; finally. . . Youth.
Some tread steadily; others stray
from convention's pathway, and truth
unfolds to you its grey.
Life quickens its pace.
You'll stumble or run
or walk with grace
beneath a waning sun.
Midway a rut
confronts you. . . Worse,
an unexpected cut.
Those surviving
keep arriving
spent.
This is one PD will never have seen for her contest. It is a form that requires six parts, and the form is not listed at Soup. Stanza one uses six lines with six words per line (not syllables, but words). STanza 2 is a five-line stanza with five words per line. You continue in this way decreasing lines and number of words in the lines until you arrive at a single one-word line in the bottom stanza! Maybe I will try this form one day in a contest!! (I rhymed this, but it does not have to be rhymed)
I Want It And I Want It Now
By Elton Camp
If the above in e-mail subject line does appear,
That the sender is a loser couldn’t be more clear
Disaster awaits any foolish enough to try to meet
Thus, most immediately will punch up “Delete”
It’s also true, in finances, similar principles apply
Yet, to have what is harmful we may decide to try
That new vehicle that is so far beyond our means
Is charging a steak dinner when we should eat beans
And also, should a finer house I try to make mine
When the one I already have is actually just fine?
The clothing store is offering a really huge discount
However, do I need to spend like that in any amount?
Do I eat many of my meals in some quite costly café
When my feet under my table at home need to stay?
The “name” university costs $50,000 tuition a year
But how about the state university that’s right here?
I’m no miser and enjoying having nice things too,
But at the end of the month I can pay what is due
So that by financial folly you won’t become floored,
“Just say No” to expenditures you can’t well afford
Alice in Wonder
Alice in wonder, landed a handful
From depths of a dryer eerily playful
Another sock missing, the dryer she’s dissing
A goblin within she fears is hissing
Disgusted by waste, calls Scotland Yard in haste
Thoughts of buying more socks, she repels with distaste
Sherlock investigates, Watson pontificates
No clues can either sleuth contemplate
Stepping through the door, she’s compelled to learn more
But finds herself falling; the dryer has no floor
Through the hole she plunges, a Mad Hatter lunges
And finally all doubt expunges
The rabbit hole clan, before her stands
Socks used as ear warmers looking so grand
So Alice climbs out, with a boost from a mouse
Vowing no more socks in her washer to douse
She’s barefoot now, folks, this is no joke
Sock expenditures had left her broke
