I Want It and I Want It Now
I Want It And I Want It Now
By Elton Camp
If the above in e-mail subject line does appear,
That the sender is a loser couldn’t be more clear
Disaster awaits any foolish enough to try to meet
Thus, most immediately will punch up “Delete”
It’s also true, in finances, similar principles apply
Yet, to have what is harmful we may decide to try
That new vehicle that is so far beyond our means
Is charging a steak dinner when we should eat beans
And also, should a finer house I try to make mine
When the one I already have is actually just fine?
The clothing store is offering a really huge discount
However, do I need to spend like that in any amount?
Do I eat many of my meals in some quite costly café
When my feet under my table at home need to stay?
The “name” university costs $50,000 tuition a year
But how about the state university that’s right here?
I’m no miser and enjoying having nice things too,
But at the end of the month I can pay what is due
So that by financial folly you won’t become floored,
“Just say No” to expenditures you can’t well afford
