A Picture

Looking out of my window, what do I see?
A picture that’s painted exclusively for me
Endless blue skies, not a cloud to be seen
Wide open fields in every shade of green.
Graceful white butterflies dancing in sync
A medley of flowers in vibrant hues of pink
The sky is full of birds, big and small.
The trees look majestic as they stand tall.
Animals grazing on the lush green grass
An amazing scene behind a pane of glass.

Light and Darkness

Light and Darkness

Have you ever paused to ponder
Why the creator in his wisdom
Made death the only doorway
Leading to the Heavenly Kingdom?
Have you ever paused to ponder
Why the creator by his order
Separated the endless darkness
To give the world twelve hours of light
And twelve hours of dreadful night?
Don't you know He could make it all light?
You could ask: do we really need the night?
As we continued seeking answers
To these and other questions like them
Let's concede to the concession
That neither of light nor darkness
Can exist exclusively anytime, anywhere
So, light your kindle for light
And protect it against the forces of night.

12:00 AM Delight

How nice it is to communicate
Exclusively heart-to-heart
When all the world is still asleep
And you and her awake this early
Eyes to eyes closely staring
Both smiling still in the bed
Embracing both hands only air in between
Not talking but only feeling
The dim light lampshade is the witness
Between human love and the darkness.

A Visit To The Glory Mountain

Glory Mountain, Davao City, day three.
The legs do not listen anymore
They called to Stunning Villa
There you see the curtailed garden
Arrays of colorful flowers that bloom
Man made beautiful falls cascading below
Thousands of pine trees going to the top
Man made lake nestled in between those flat
I felt inside this extraordinary characters
Unspeakable joy to discover this hidden gem
Very rural, yet, most I love aesthetic beauty
The uniquely given is exclusively for guests
Genuine members and faithful Kingdom Citizens.

Mama, my best word

My sweetness, from you, my first meal,
Exclusively for six.
And for many more months after~
The grub that made me tick.

You'd go hungry for me to eat.
Still my tum begs for more
What yours for days has been denied,
For hunger there to roar.

Empty tummy twirls blank your eyes,
Then you fall down and faint.
Still you rise just to find me food,
Your hunger no restraint.

More I grow, so your sacrifice.
You forsake your pleasure~
For me to have a great future.
To you, I'm your treasure.

Why Mama becomes my best word~
On my lips, just your praise.
I care not what anyone thinks.
In my heart, your love stays.

Your face now wrinkled by old age,
More, to me, you're pretty.
Tell me Mama how to pay back,
I'll pay to show pity.

sardines in olive oil

Sardines in olive oil

A shop in Lisbon exclusively sold sardines
this interested me since my Norwegian mother
had worked at a factory selling tinned sardines
I asked if they had sardines from other country
they didn't but told me in tinned bacalao they
cod fish came from Norway
I noticed sardines in olive oil with the year the tin
was made, began from 1905 to 2024
but the years from 1930 to 1943 were missing
I asked why, but no one knew, I think no one had
noticed the gap
The staff at the shop, when I told them about
my mother was charmed and gave me a couple
of sardine tins from 1944

My Lonely Symphonies

My heart plays somber symphonies. It plays them exclusively for me. They are fragile and feminine. Breathtaking and melancholy. They perform songs of tragedy and cry out with sorrow but they are perceived by myself alone. Like an isolated violinist in a vacant theater, they are radiant but heartbreaking. My heart plays somber symphonies. Can’t you hear them?

Caged Door

Here the road ends
Here you can find me
If you ever come to this dead end
Of a road, you tried very hard
To penetrate, to step in, inside…

Inside your time, beyond your reach
I paved this road exclusively for you
For you to tackle the mystery of love
One by one, one step further into…
Into the seven seas of love…

And I, you know, as usual leaning
Leaning desperately to this dream…
One fine morning, you’ll find the key
To unlock your caged door…
Finding yourself stepping on your road

Premium Member Cerebral Exultation

Seems our love is destined to be
Exclusively a cerebral affair
A long distance love but oh so deep
Sweet words of affection we share

It's almost enough, who am I kidding
It will never ever take the place
Of feeling your body touching mine
Or caressing your gorgeous face

No one and I mean not a single soul
Has ever made me feel this way
My morning sun, my stars each night
My reason for rising each day

At the risk of repeating over and over
The same old words of adoration
Came up with a totally new way, my love
I'll call it "cerebral exultation"

Seems our love is destined to survive
Only a sweet cerebral love affair
A long distance love but oh so damn deep
These words of affection we share

Premium Member this poem revived my feelings

This poem made me feel powerful and less lonely
Gave me permission to drag out my own macabre feelings
I found myself flying toward brilliance, enjoying “bat on the wing”
In a way, I felt this was written for me exclusively
A secret pact between me and the songwriter
“no moonlight for me’ is the way I feel on my darkest day
It is wonderful to know I am no longer alone.

When egos soar like kite

A queen am I of all the sky,
Come, let me take you on a flight,
A kite told thread, I’ll help you fly,
Quietly smiled thread in delight,
And saw, kite’s pride had reached rare height.

And thought of showing her, her place,
You kite, forget not in hurry,
Force me not force ye down from space,
If ye fly, thanks are due to me,
It’s me that ye be where ye be.

A man was watching with a smile:
Alone, we all are incomplete,
This world is no isolate isle,
We all put in our best a bit,
Kite, thread, wind, and I make one kit.

Poet’s note: When one’s success is never exclusively one’s own. Many things combine to bring in the desired result.

Premium Member Fluttering

Sitruc's inserted pacemaker was working like a champ.
The aspirin was provided to assist with the fluttering.
Unfortunately, the aspirin was not stopping the fluttering.

His doctor suggested a med that seemed complicated to
Sitruc, who declined his doctor's offer for a different medication.
His doctor said that the fluttering could cause a stroke.

Sitruc was not desiring to be a candidate for a stroke,
but he reasoned that "Sometimes, none of our choices are
without questions. Many times, all our political candidates
are the wrong ones. God's sovereignty disallows us space
owned exclusively by Him. As a result, there is a divine space
forbidden for us to enter. Oftentimes, there is beauty and
a beast in the navigation of our lives".

I think that Sitruc's words speak wisdom to many of us. There
truly is no life without risk, and for now, Sitruc chooses to live
with fluttering.
