GREEK MYTHOLOGY:ORION

Orion was the son of Neptune (EA). A handsome giant and a mighty hunter. Orion loved Merope, the daughter of Denopion, King of Chios, and sought her in marriage. He cleared the island of wild beasts, and brought the spoils of the chase as presents to his beloved; but as Oenopion constantly deferred his consent. Orion attempted to gain possession of the maiden by violence. Her father, incensed at this conduct, having made Orion drunk, deprived him of his sight and cast him out on the sea shore. The blinded hero followed the sound of the Cyclops' hammer till he reached Lemnos, and came to the forge of Vulcan (Fire Dragon), who, taking pity on him, gave him Kedalion, one of his men, to be his guide to the abode of the Sun. Placing Kedalion on his shoulders. Orion proceeded to the east and there meeting the sun-god was restored to sight by his beam. After this, he dwelt as a hunter with Diana, with whom he was a favourite, and it is even said she was about to marry him. Her brother was highly displeased and often chide her but to no purpose. One day, observing Orion wading through the sea with his head just above the water, Apollo pointed it out to his sister and maintained that she could not hit that black thing on the sea. The archer-goddess discharged a shaft with fatal aim. The waves rolled the dead body of Orion to the land and bewailed her fatal error with many tears. Diana placed him among the stars, where he appears as a giant, with a girdle, sword, lion's skin, and club. Sirius, his dog, follows him, and the Pleiades fly before him. The Pleiades were daughters of Atlas, and nymphs of Diana's train.
Merope= means 'with face turned" was a mortal princess, daughter of king Oenopion ruler of Chios. Oenopion translates to "wine drinker," "wine-faced," son of god Dionysus. Orion was called and known by many things, but his true title is "True Shepherd of Anu."

"Ecliptic Plane," The Asteroid belt lies between Mars and Jupiter, mostly contains objects composed, like the terrestrial planets, rocks and metals. Beyond Neptune's orbit lie the Kuiper belt and scattered disc, composed mostly of ices. These objects are called Dwarf planets. Dwarf planets include the asteroid Ceres and the trans-Neptunian objects Pluto, Eris. The Solar System is located in the Orion Arm, 26,000 light years from the center of the Milky Way.
Ceres: The largest object in the asteroid belt, which lies between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. Composed of rock and ice, is 950km's (590mi) in diameter, contains a third of the mass of the belt. It is the largest asteroid and the only one in the inner Solar System. (Discovered 1/1/1801) As an Asteroid, Piazzi observed Ceres a total of 24 times, the final time on 11/Feb/1801, he announced his discovery on 24/Jan/1801, reporting it as a Comet.
Pluto was denoted as a planet on the 24/8/2006.
