Aussies shake the cob-webs away your lives are at stake
In these present days.'
The M A D bill is pending, find strong will don't be bending.'
Phone the radio stations
Make great noise' stir the Nation.! Get emailing get writing
Whats intended is frightening.'
Forget about division.! And any 'con-vid' fogged decisions!
You are bigger, and better.'
Listen to a Nations spirit not the letter, make things better!
Ask your neighbour sister brother.?
Make your stand.!! You'll find there are many others.!
Now we know, the past was sheer murder.' Share the word
M A D..Shall not pass! Not one speech or motion further.!!

Right now, I may seem unproductive,
not cooking or cleaning a floor,
not texting, emailing, or calling.
The usual things, I’ll ignore.
Except for soft music, there’s silence.
Eyes close, for I’ve no need to see.
My thoughts of past, present, and future
drift by, my unique tapestry.
My daydreams are fodder for poems,
new plans, and a fresh attitude.
These times I seem lazy and “absent”
create an industrious mood.

SOCIAL MEDIA
I don’t know much about social media
I need help from an encyclopaedia
Social media has its place
I would rather talk face to face
Although, I do like texting and emailing too
They are the easiest things to do
But, you can’t get a hug via text or email
You could try but you would fail
You could even write a letter
But, hugging in person is so much better
Go out and hug someone right now
I hope you haven’t forgotten how
If you go on social media, please be kind
That is the best way I think you’ll find
Social media does have its uses
Please don’t use it for your abuses
I don’t want to hear your excuses
If you use social media, use it for good
Treat people the way you know you should
Everyone just wants to be understood
People are not made of wood.

There's the
Guy
In the corner
Strumming on his guitar
Singing of the
Good ol 2000's songs
Shaking his head
At the recent rap reps
The golden eyelet
Etched on
There's the emo girl
In all black
Tapping furiously
On her laptop
Emailing any
Cooperations
That would take her
Her sighs can
Be heard from the
Other side of the room
There's the dude
With the manbun
Tutting to the BGM
Muttering of
The Friday tiredness
Glasses hung low
On his eyes
The couple in the corner
Giggling ecstaticly
Sitting snugly
Sharing earphones
Gabbing
Of the dreams they seek for
Sweet high school
Innocence
Cigarettes burning out low
Feet out on the balcony
Overlooking
The sky full of stars
There's the salaryman
Sinking low into his
Wrinkled suit
Still in his twenties
Not wanting to go home
To sleep
And wake up to the
Same tedious routine
There's the girl
With the piercings
Smoking
Perfect rings
Lord of the rings
She smirks to herself
As she
Watches them
Slowly
Disappear
Into the air
Waiting to
See the
Soleil levant
Dripping of tequila

Angela stumbled
into the darkened lecture hall 20 minutes late
and slid into a seat in the back.
Down below the professor was talking near a lighted screen.
In the auditorium students were taking notes, emailing, or texting.
Adjusting her eyes to the darkness
Angela squinted at the screen
and scolded herself for having forgotten her glasses.
Get a grip, Angela said to herself,
this is only the first day of class.
As the professor droned on and on she felt lost.
Maybe this was a mistake she thought to herself.
After a while, Angela must have fallen asleep
because suddenly the lights came up
and everyone began moving.
While collecting her things she overheard students behind her
discussing the professor’s lecture on British literature.
Somewhat relieved, Angela realized she had been in the wrong class.

Is this a friend, I ask you!
"Oh, you are dying?I really could care less.
I have a garden to attend to, for folks to impress. I live in a state of eternal busy-ness.
No heart of mine, shall I share.
See, I am vacuuming my stairs,
Aren't you impressed?"
"I am retired and busier than
a leader of any great nation.
Small house, dead husband
Forty year old still living with me.
Permanently, cemented in and
stationed.
I must be there for her each
second, don't you see?"
"Stop texting or emailing
me. I am dedicated to my house,
not people, don't you get it?
I am a master of pretense that I am your friend.
But to tell you the truth, I don't
care about you nor when your
life ends.!"
...........................
Thank God poets are not so
brazenly shallow.
They care about life more and
each other, far from hollow.
And yet we don't really have long pasts together.
We live in the present, all over the world, free and untethered.
Sure, a few are arrogant but most are a very caring lot.
Consider yourself, very blessed, poet!
Part of glorious flowers, God's
special aggregate.
Love to all, Panagiota Romios

Hope My Priest Was Intending
Dear Father Frank and Editor
of Newspaper,
Hope that you were Intending,
Sermon emailing and sending;
Gladly receive,
And retrieve,
From beginning to the ending.
Here is a great idea each priest
and preacher should do. His
church members could download
sermon and print it out. Then
they would take it to church
with them like I am going to.

“Made you look you dirty crook!”
And all those colourful phrases
Have vanished from our lexicon
They now belong to the ages!
“Keep your nose to the grindstone!”
Is another from way back when
So sad they've all but disappeared
Wish they could go back again!
Since the dawn of the computer age
We speak in a different fashion
Conversing in very short sentences
Using acronyms without much passion!
We now seem to have lost the ability
To have an intelligent conversation
Emailing, texting, or some such device
Or some other glitzy presentation!
I really long for those simpler days
When people took time to listen
And all the world seemed friendlier
Now feels like something's missing!
A re-post!

Don't vote Trump who’s just not in,
Because that would be a huge sin,
Hillary’s not guilty of any emailing,
So don't tip the vote, be affirming.

I’ve been emailing him poems for months at this time
Don’t see his eyes shine proud as he reads each line
I turn my head to look when I hit a winning home run
Always find mom clapping, proud, but alone, in the sun
He blows kisses to us each time we get to see him
But talking on Skype leaves me empty, torn and grim
My heart jumps up each time I hear of a bomb blast
“God, let him be safe”, I pray desperate and aghast
I’ve been trying so hard to grow up, toughen up like a soldier
Just need a pat on the back, weight of his hand on my shoulder
Fills my eyes as all celebrate freedom on the 4th of July
Fireworks for me,when my dad in uniform returns to us alive.

Disturbing Presence
There are things that to many may amaze
Just like Poetry Soup becoming a big craze
Beyond belief sometimes we seem to find
Bringing on poetry skills and peace of mind.
Soup's comfortable and completely relaxing
No problems when emailing or doing faxing
Advertisements can cause an incredible delay
But have much patience some people will say.
About poetry benefits could go on and on
Hope great picture have painted and drawn
Now that things way up are starting to clear
You want my disturbing presence to disappear.
