Best Emailing Poems

Premium Member Made You Look You Dirty Crook

“Made you look you dirty crook!”
And all those colourful phrases
Have vanished from our lexicon
They now belong to the ages!

“Keep your nose to the grindstone!”
Is another from way back when
So sad they've all but disappeared
Wish they could go back again!

Since the dawn of the computer age
We speak in a different fashion
Conversing in very short sentences
Using acronyms without much passion!

We now seem to have lost the ability
To have an intelligent conversation
Emailing, texting, or some such device
Or some other glitzy presentation!

I really long for those simpler days
When people took time to listen
And all the world seemed friendlier
Now feels like something's missing!

Premium Member What Did I Get Myself Into

I was invited to join facebook again
I don't know why they can't understand
I just learned to email today
Now they want me to come on line and play

My friends and family
Keep begging me to come
But there ain't nobody here
To show me how it's done

I just got a new telephone
That ain't enough
How much more do they think
In this old brain I can stuff

I got on and I think I got signed up
Looked at all the games and even tried one
My score wasn't worth talking about
Tried to send two messages that wouldn't go out

Then I got flustered and I tried to leave
The more I tried the worse it got
Finally I got mad enough I poked the Big Red X
WOW what a shot, that little thing was really hot

Then I tried to return
By emailing my friends a note
You guessed it right
The answer was NOPE

I took the day off
Went to poetrysoup
I returned today
And got right in the loop

Now Will somebody please
Tell me how to post this mess
Maybe then
I'll be one you I guess

Premium Member Back To Her

After the Sunday service, searching back to her
For a date. He will soon be walking back to her.

Bottle rockets popping over the Sacre Coeur.
She suddenly kissed him; he then leaning back to her.

Leave ending, the soldier takes the Gare de l’Est train.
Just outside, from his window, waving back to her.

She travels east by train. He travels south by train.
A weekend in Strasbourg, him meeting back to her.

“Hey! You have another letter. What did he say?”
She reads aloud. He’s always writing back to her.

Five-mark coins clank in the West German phone.
“Je t’aime” heard at her “boulot”; calling back to her.

The Army okayed it. His mother flew over.
Her father was there for the wedding back to her.

First residence in Sohren. First of two munchkins,
Playing under a chair, then crawling back to her.

All night in the post’s delivery room,
Holding her hand. Love sending back to her.

TDYs learning Serbo-Croatian
Through Germany commuting back to her.

Yugoslavia dies as a nation -
U. N. Peace Keeper writing back to her

From Operation Iraqi Freedom
Telephoning, emailing back to her

Now a civilian, travels behind him,
He’s always nearby, staying back to her

Commuting between Monterey and Salinas,
Both approaching retirement, driving back to her.

The Warrior Poet and his wife walk the old dog.
“Hurry Bella.” “Come on girl.” Whistling back to her.

Happy Birthday, Debs

Emailing cake is hard to do,
And so I wrote a verse for you.
I hope your day is filled with fun;
A happy time with lots of sun.
I hope you will accept from me
A cyber hug across the sea.

Premium Member Loneliness

Experts describe it as a complex emotional reaction, felt by people dwelling in isolation.
Sufferers sometimes cannot explain what they are feeling, as loneliness possess their being.
Why, oh why, is this disease so pervasive among so vast a population?
What is the explanation for this strange phenomenon we are seeing?

The family structure is cracked and broken, and we seem to be losing our mind,
Emailing, texting and tweeting have replaced good, old-fashioned conversating.
Instead of loving, caring, bosom friends, we’ve settled for the Facebook kind.
And spend the best part of our day posting, streaming and Facetiming.

We’ve forsaken our Creator and dislodged our spiritual mooring.
Now devoid of all bearing, we spend our life drifting,
Searching for true meaning by carousing, feasting and lusting,
And end up frustrated, depressed and still wanting.

Singles are prone to loneliness, since companionship is often a need.
It is not fun to cook, eat, and sleep all by your lonely self.
But singles can beat loneliness if to this creed they give heed,
That, “No man is an island, entire of itself.”

Wives can be lonely too, when companionship is lacking,
Because the man they married does not do much talking.
His home is his castle, and he behaves like he’s a king,
The TV is his mistress and he doesn’t do a thing.

Then there is the survivor, whose spouse is dead and gone,
And they are left to run the race and face life all alone.
The children have a life of their own and time is scarce as gold,
So, time with them is but a dream after they leave the fold.

Now if we want to cure this strange phenomenon,
We must seek after God with humility and submission.
And find true satisfaction by modeling our mothers,
In loving and serving and caring for others.

Fireworks For Me

I’ve been emailing him poems for months at this time
Don’t see his eyes shine proud as he reads each line

I turn my head to look when I hit a winning home run
Always find mom clapping, proud, but alone, in the sun

He blows kisses to us each time we get to see him
But talking on Skype leaves me empty, torn and grim

My heart jumps up each time I hear of a bomb blast
“God, let him be safe”, I pray desperate and aghast

I’ve been trying so hard to grow up, toughen up like a soldier
Just need a pat on the back, weight of his hand on my shoulder

Fills my eyes as all celebrate freedom on the 4th of July
Fireworks for me,when my dad in uniform returns to us alive.

Vote For Hillary

Don't vote Trump who’s just not in,
Because that would be a huge sin,
Hillary’s not guilty of any emailing,
So don't tip the vote, be affirming.

Premium Member Social Media

SOCIAL MEDIA
I don’t know much about social media
I need help from an encyclopaedia
Social media has its place
I would rather talk face to face
Although, I do like texting and emailing too
They are the easiest things to do
But, you can’t get a hug via text or email
You could try but you would fail
You could even write a letter
But, hugging in person is so much better
Go out and hug someone right now
I hope you haven’t forgotten how
If you go on social media, please be kind
That is the best way I think you’ll find
Social media does have its uses
Please don’t use it for your abuses
I don’t want to hear your excuses
If you use social media, use it for good
Treat people the way you know you should
Everyone just wants to be understood
People are not made of wood.

Humor For the Sinner

Hey,Father, give me my blessing. It's two posts since my last transmission

Yes,my child.What's wrong with that?

I have no idea,Father.

This is for confessing sins.

I know,it must be fascinating. Can you tell me a few general categories of the most popular sins?

But the confessional is sacred...

Well,I come here a lot and I'm running out of ideas for my blog.

Blogging is sinful.

Really? It's not mentioned in my Missal.

No doubt it will be in the next edition!

Why is it sinful?

I believe it takes your mind off the people around you.

Exactly!

Can't you do anything about these people?

I've tried praying for them,seducing them,ignoring them,emailing them.

And what happened.

Nothing at all. They just ignore me.

Why don't you ignore them?

That's a wonderful idea.

Now,to cut back your blogging you need to learn the oboe...

Why,Father?

You can't type when playing the oboe and it's cheaper than a piano..

Gosh,you are so clever.

And your playing will be so awful that it will make your housemates speak to you..

That's unlikely,they are all cats!

Oh,you nincompoop.Be off or I'll kick you out myself..

That's not wholly holy or even holey.

Be off or I'll send you a rhyme.

About time!

How about the design?
?
I am thinking, sublime?

Will it be mine?

Disturbing Presence

Disturbing Presence

There are things that to many may amaze
Just like Poetry Soup becoming a big craze
Beyond belief sometimes we seem to find
Bringing on poetry skills and peace of mind.

Soup's comfortable and completely relaxing
No problems when emailing or doing faxing
Advertisements can cause an incredible delay
But have much patience some people will say.

About poetry benefits could go on and on
Hope great picture have painted and drawn
Now that things way up are starting to clear
You want my disturbing presence to disappear.

This Poor Manz Pipe Dream

This Poor Man's Pipe Dream

no..no...no...DONT GET CLOSE
cuz, yea...yea...
     yea...I suppose
emailing would be
     the safest lagniappe bet,
     where nill expose
sure would moost
     likely NOT infect thee,

     though these really
     quirky, phony (funny) germs
     can be inhaled a
     cross transmission wires
thru the nose
or data packets
     bounced off satellites as
     telecommunications

specialists knows
while (and/or) even if
     all precautions taken
     even extreme measures
     such as cryogenics,
     (where an individual
     ideally after they die)
     doth get froze,

nonetheless this communique
     must be heeded,
     cuz most effective,
     and best assimilated
     before one takes a doze
essentially (non fatal)
     lottery mania flows
within my entire being

     from head to
     fungus infected toes
whar this old rattletrap
     spews castles in the air
akin to a house of cards career
ring into scattered mess
     (resembling 52 pickup),
thus unknown reader

     dune hot dare
casinos, gambling halls,
     horse racing, et cetera
     lest ye contract
     an immobilizing, yet fear
lee innocuous diagnosis,
     asper in do sing glare
ring bug eyes,

     plus affecting a hair
reed styled, and swiftly tailored
     demeanor accompanied
with Scrooge (tiny lee)
     intimating lurch

finding one
     impoverishing themselves
     at light speed!

Zarathustra Gave Me the Green Light Part One

“Query”
from a word miner non-trumpeting
Beatle browed quarry man.

One emailing digital commoner bemoans assiduous,
zealously yearning xing worthy values undergirding
the storied renown quintessential peaceable operation
nations marvel lately kindling justice,
institutionalizing hope, gentility, freedom, equality.

Dummkopf Donald Count Drake
Hula iz destroying cradle,
where forefathers/mothers begot
America. He shows no demonstrable diplomacy
DURST donning duplicitous damning dingbat drive.

THUS...SPAKE
ZARATHUSTRA GAVE ME THE GREEN LIGHT

I call out President Trump blitzing, donning,
and flagrantly hoisting his arrested development
proof positive he lacks the acuity,
diplomacy, and generosity to invite kosher
or Goyim mandates.

As an anonymously, devilishly,
grouchy voluntary member
(as well a deplorable basket case)
of the one man literary duh vice squad keeping
a mostly straight and true reputation for Hilary Clinton
(versus his claim of her baseless crookedness,

she evinces qualities immediately evident
asper an old gnarled hickory stick), I will
stick tommy figurative guns in an
attempt to staunch the figurative bloodletting heaped
upon admirable Democratic constituents.

Concomitant with this near impossible mission
will be my unbiased opinion, that our FAKE
commander in chief aspires to abrogate,
denominate, and generate demonstrable gimcrackery,

invidious kleptocracy, and incorporate
questionable statecraft.
Analogous to an old chestnut tree apothegm
(well rooted to create self serving,
vassal hating (viz vacillating),
retreating, and re: tweeting.
