Premium Member Meeting Love Twice Through the Mail

Before the electronic mail we have now
snail mail was the only postal means
write a letter, stick a stamp, envelope sealed
into the postbox it goes my forever dreams

My first love Jean for a year
did write to each other every week
looked forward to that post come
it meant so much without it all's bleak

But then post stopped we dated
fell in love so very very much
got wed for we were the match
but Jean passed away by God's touch

My second love Christine loved mail
regularly we penned to one another
really got to know each other well
so wondered if we could go further

Then I got chickenpox out of the blue
so Christine sent me a get well card
that clicked us so we started to date
got wed 9 months later, our love starred

So mail has a loving touch
shows its hand to a live connect
I can vouch truly for that
twice it helped me, love select

(This is written looking back on mail and it's effect on my love life as it twice had a effectual lasting proof on it.)

The Dear Retirement of a Beloved Pastor Part Iii

Oh, goodness, how my initiative has flustered.
I think that my meatless Fridays will receive fruits of reward and hence I grow faint.
I sigh through dear retirement of a beloved pastor.

Alas, I never learned the likeness of his mother,
containing ignorance of queries, I may have dared.
Oh,goodness, how my initiative has flustered.

Why,I adorned my scent in generous coriander masking,
I learned that afterwards for months his body actively ailed.
I sigh through dear retirement of a beloved pastor.

What irresponsibility to not attend his masses of distance radius concluding a ten-minute bus ride,
within the retrospect I carried a pedestrian distance strength.
Oh,goodness, how my initiative has flustered.

Through instances my mobile telephone illuminates unknown numbers,
in filled enthusiasm "Hello, monsignor" I declare.
I sigh through dear retirement of a beloved pastor.

In his missing funds for rejuvenated miscrospoic cellular architecture of the cataracts,
my endeavor to contact him results in abandoned snail and over weekly electronic mail.
Oh, goodness, how my initiative has flustered.
I sigh through dear retirement of a beloved pastor.

The Dear Retirement of a Beloved Pastor

Oh, how my initiative has flustered,
for I assumed of years before we separate
I sigh through dear retirement of a beloved pastor.

What stinginess imposed no access to Fish Fries and the classes?
In retrospect, I think this showed the sum that I could pay.
Oh, how my initiative has flustered.

If in the face-to-face responsiveness, I could not be active,
During his parochial presence,I may have considered exchanging ideations within the electronic mail.
I sigh through dear retirement of a beloved pastor.

Ah, to attend the Conversational coffee, which followed early Wednesday masses,
I strongly desire that in temporal asset my mind provided doability in willing myself awake.
Oh, how my initiative has flustered.

Perhaps, my sleeping rhythm could truly mould to donut Sundays,
and not corporeal nourishment but interactions would satiate.
I sigh through dear retirement of a beloved pastor.

I drown in upset without the known legal right of correspondence.
The prospect of mutual familiarity would permit messages had I done the actions strengthen my regrets.
Oh, how my initiative has flustered.
I sigh through dear retirement of a beloved pastor.

Premium Member Meeting Cancelled At Last Second

Cancel email came after work
So of course three of us missed it
Other nine stayed off the ice
Comfy in their jammies
Eating sweet warm toast
Watching TV
Annoying

The World Before Computers

The World Before Computers

By Elton Camp

Those younger than thirty have no memory of the day
When paper, envelope & stamp a message did convey
When computers mainly in science fiction did reside
With only a few found in top universities worldwide

A reference to electronic mail is all that it then took
To generate many questions along with a blank look
People old enough to remember will know what I mean
Computers and e-mail suddenly burst onto the scene

So now, whether it is thought to be for good or for ill
Competence in computers has become an expected skill
It’d be with the deepest shame anyone would confess
“Well, actually I don’t even have an e-mail address.”

Computer use has come to traverse the entire age span
From a little kid to Uncle Charles and even old Gran
If there is anyone around who is still trying to hold out
Wise up or you will be left in the dust without any doubt

Summon the Sonnet Man

Batman had an "industrial flash light"
Made in order to get his attention,
And it did manage to light up the night,
But it is not even worth a mention.
The Sonnet Man has Twitter and Facebook
And Myspace, just in case you can not tell
That you can reach me anywhere you look,
Or can reach me by electronic mail.
So, my computer will always be on,
And the excitement will emerge in me,
However, I may or may not respond,
Whenever there is an emergency.
The Sonnet Man is a man of the times,
Just do not ask me to fight any crimes.
