I think

while kings
listened
to power.
You discovered
electromagnetic
induction,
the heartbeat
of generators,
transformers,
and the
electric motor.
You gave
light
to a world
that had
forgotten
how to
dream.
In 1825,
you discovered
benzene,
a gift
to science
and industry.
When I
pass
the Sandemanian
church plot
at Highgate,
I remember
that greatness
can rest
in silence.
You conquered
poverty.
You conquered
ignorance.
Without

Without

The powerful

The shadow produced by the ongoing fire was a mere enchantment of life and death intertwined in a loving embrace. What is life without death, and what is death without life? As one lives, the dead live in the afterlife. Seeing a fire signals the end of life within the current timeline while showing the birth of new life in the future. All we see is the destruction and reconstruction in the present. Being in the center, we see both sides. As the tears drop, they form a shadow before they hit the ground. Once they hit the ground, the shadow is a picture of life and death. If the fire's shadow is frightening, can it be seen as a shadow of HOPE? The warmth of the shadow can be felt through electromagnetic radiation. Is fire a valid symbol of death? Or is it the symbol of life and death intertwining in the loving eternal embrace of a couple blessed with the spirit of life and not of death? One cannot exist without the other as all forces come in pairs. Newton, were your law of mere physics, or was it a symbolic representation of unity in life? The apple was not symbolic as it was the sweetest fruit of knowledge. The shadow sees, and the shadows cool the heat, which warms the soul.

So we may spread your marvels and wonders.

Brain, heart, and skin all electric
all conduits to awareness.
That kind of electricity flows outward.
Eyes reflect our electricity.
The mothership,
the flesh and bone, the organic innards,
they all work for the cellular transference
or storage of electric energy.
What is my point?
When I say: you turn me on,
that we are plugged into one another.
I mean we are all power points.
Hot stuff.
Of course we can either
recharge or drain.
Friction may occur, sparks may fly.
Dear electron AC/DC unit
you galvanize me.
Beware though,
electromagnetic waves of love
or any other high voltage passion
can lead to unwanted ignition -
please be sure to wear a thick rubber soul.

testifies of the God who created it.
Mortals, be awed, acknowledge, and worship Him.

The boy was an unknown planet
in an unread comic book.
His friends were imaginary warriors..
He himself, could not fight the real world,
but the world fought him tooth and nail.
Only the heroes of his mind stood a chance
to put the world to right’s.
Over the few years that it takes for
impossible things to fade,
he grew up thin with thought,
he understood that he was alone,
even in a relationship, even in a crowd.
He would whisper advice to himself
as if he were another person.
A slow realization dawned:
he was that other person;
that this planet was created
from the electromagnetic visions
of impossible things,
a school room of sorts
one on the head
of an immense pin of light,
where he was both teacher
and the taught.
