welcome this heart,
congenitally, sickeningly loathed
not even clothed, leave her threshold.
brought into the world, a radial embrace
cradled in the rain, slapped across the face.
scapegoat of the mother, never far from the tree
saddled in pain, crawling formlessly.
carry this apple, take a crisp bite
sour and cold, not even ripe.
now welcome this heart,
bitter and mindless,
feed on the fright
frigid as marble , scorched as a star
feed him dirt, never far, never far
arachnid fangs descend, venomous reign
eat your own infant, drown in the rain;
then do it again,
again,
and again.

Farmers know what they gain
From every drop of rain
And feel what they lose
With heat tightening the noose.
Planters guess the – added in scores ,
When earthworm into the soil bores
And celebrate a widening pore:
A graciously opened door!
Farmers wish the worst for pest,
When birds put them to a test
And could murderers irritate
If rodents chose to irritate.
Farmers think to sometimes deceive
To fat grants surely receive
Their multiplying farm needs conceive
And the next certain droughts perceive!

Like Ramen noodles,
packaged, dried worms are instant.
Just add hot water, stir, and eat.

It's inevitable the momentum of the large headed human ego....
has finally put mankind over the brink.
There's no coming back
the clock says 1 second 'til midnight.
The earthworms have shed their glass slippers
Soon they'll be sliding underground...
their prince will not follow.
They've been tunneling and stockpiling for decades
food- ammunition-water
the{numerators}elite and their loved ones
have their inner mountain retreat...
On a smaller scale the (denominators) have followed their lead.
The remainders/the remains/: the poor who couldn't afford to stockpile
and those that could afford to but were to stubborn to listen.
Will be left scrambling above
banding and disbanding
willy-nilly
whatever the moment dictates
frantic
scrounging for rat meat
and toilet paper
during a nuclear winter
666 miles of social distancing,
Fondly remembering when it was only 6 feet
putting balm to nuclear skin
covering open wounds with papyrus.
They'll forge an eleventh commandment
then just as quickly break it.
With mankind's flesh between their teeth
they'll be begging to a God
who finally got sick of it all
and stopped listening-

Worms are grisly,
quite abhorrent,
slimy, and a world apart from
style and character I'll warrant.
All they do is wriggle,
wiggle to distraction,
captured by the early bird
they're skewered to inaction,
yet they aerate the soil,
help in nature's grand design,
I'd better print a full retraction,
they're not grisly, they're just fine!

An earthworm's home you wouldn't like
It's cold and damp and full of night
Still, It's where I am and can only be,
When I scribble and wiggle hope you see,
How hard to write immortal poetry,
While watching out for greedy birdies,
When rains wash me along the gutters,
Helplessly drowning, my heart flutters,
Suddenly over the gutter crawl,
And burrow into earth under garden wall,
In darkness may live, but full of light,
Fearing rain, but still scribble in delight,
In humility offer these poetic scribbles,
Penned with few words and lots of wiggles.

The Earthworm Keeps His Hair
Do you ever wish for a second, that you were an earthworm,
living in the soil, the slightly colder part of the world?
You could be happy there, where your oxygen didn't come from polluted air!
And lazily soaking up vitamins, and being apart of the life in living, was
your only concern, or care.
You might find content in knowing that your values were much more valuable than
the people above. Who are aimlessly trying to find happiness by ripping out each others own hair!
You'd know you were alright down there.
All the secrets from the fresh water, and the quiet hare, about what really matters here, you wouldn't even need to share!
I often wish I were an earthworm for a second. So I could stay sane, and not get
oppressed for simply possessing my natural hair!

The rain came down
Saturating the ground
The earthworm came up
To swim in the muck
The dove came down
Hearing a splish splash sound
Now the earthworm flys

Love watching earthworms
at night, with a flashlight
shining on them as
they make their descent
into the ground.
So slimy are they,
but so fun to try
and catch them,
before they make
their descent
into the ground.
As a child used
to go into backyard
in search of the
earthworm, watching
as it burrows into
the soil,
trying so hard to
crab them as they
slipped through my fingers
and make their
descent into the ground.
Would just try to
catch them for
fun, not fishing,
putting them in
a jar and watching
them as they
would burrow into
the soil.
Later would let
them go without
harm and watching
as they made
their descent
into the ground.
