Premium Member I Donate My Hair

My hair grows much faster than most
You can ask my friends, teachers or ghost
If it is in a mohawk by breakfast it is at my shoulders at noon
I can usually stand on my locks in the mid-afternoon

My hair does not normally or usually grow exactly the same
God has blessed me with an unfathomable growing-hair mane
Sometimes it is ginger, curly with a wink of chestnut
Cutting it off at the roots and you will hear them “tut-tut”.

They are in charge of what my hair next will be.
Sometimes it is thin other times as thick as a fat chickadee
One time it grew straight and coarse like a horse’s tail
It was so long I stepped on it going out to get the mail

My locks are all woven into mats for the cat orphanage
I hear that when they get scroungy, they feed them to their pig
His name is Wilbur and he gets excited when he sees me arrive.
He has scarfed down mats made of my hair, I think ninety-five.

Premium Member The Light of Hope

No money to donate
But a poem
To share
No books to share
But some sketching papers
To recycle
No food to donate
But some bones
Fir your hungry dogs
No clothes to donate
But my growing children 's
Old socks to share
No medicine for you
But the wild herbs
To work wonders
No ability to help
But a prayer is always
On my lips

Premium Member Donate Unwanted Items

When the Spring season comes
All the closets get changed
Tossing out worn out clothes
They are no longer needed

Or clothes that don't fit
Unwanted ornaments
A pile of books read
Toys collecting dust

All unwanted items
Donated to Good Will
Priced right for people
To use and enjoy

Its better to donate
Then to throw away
Items folks can enjoy
It brightens their day

Donate Organs Give Life

Moment he died, his mother sprung into action
His last wish was organ donation

Fatherless girl's looked at ailing mother,
His liver gave them life

Bedridden mother prayed for her only sons life
His kidneys gave them life

Parents watched their blind child sadly,
there was no way they could console him,
His eyes gave them life

Although dead, he never died,
His dead body gave life to many...

Note : Today, every donor can save up to eight lives and enhance over 75 more.

Donate Them

lets give them sight
sans light, we know their plight
for them every moment is a challenge ,they fight
lets bless them with the missing light

they maybe well informed with braille
but of things they can't enjoy there's a long trail
through life let's give them a smooth sail
let's boost their being and save them from a blind jail

let's make them see
from their shortcoming set them free
let's not let them just be
let's pledge our eyes for them their sights the key

they cant fully emote
they can no doubt read and quote
if you donate sight on you they will dote
of your sacrifice they will make a note

let's make them assess the world
even if the donated eyes are blurred
let's realize enough they have endured
they will bless us when their sight is restored.

Donate Bood

one day i saw a sweet little girl
      behind a shop
wearing shiny and beautiful
    red colour frok
trying hard to paste some
    paper on the wall
before i could ask something
   she herself made a call....

she was standing in the mud
only to paste the paper stating
    PLEASE DONATE BLOOD
    PLEASE DONATE BLOOD

i just looked into her eyes
it seemed like for somebody
  she had badly cried..
she had lost somebody she loved
only because..

THERE WAS NO ONE TO DONATE BLOOD!!

in this world, there is lots of pain
why in the hospitals
there are empty veins??
please donate blood and
  motivate others also
to do the same..
whether you have to step into the mud

BUT PLEASE..
DONATE BLOOD...
DONATE BLOOD....!!!!!

Donate Life

People all over the world need organs to survive.
Donate what you can spare to keep someone alive.
Kidneys, liver and bone marrow too.
Maybe someone else will take your cue.

Some parts you can donate while you yet live.
So open up your heart, this precious gift to give.
Eye tissue, skin grafts, what are you waiting for?
What is it that we need to say to get you through the door?

What family member or friend is on the waiting list?
We know it's someone special that will be truly missed!
If we don't help others out - can you tell us who will?
We must now act swiftly or people's hearts will soon be still!

Donating life is easy and more fulfilling than you can know.
So take a stand for others - your love for them to show.
Actions speak louder than words - so donate life today.
From this worldwide problem - no longer run away!

(Addendum to poem - I actually donated my left kidney to my mother in November
of 2009. I'm not just throwing down words here.)
