~ 'Where's my $1.2 million, Gov?! ~
Governor Newsom won't back reparations
Says they are so much more than
'mere' financial machinations ...
A 'committee' made a fool of La-La-Landers
with $$$$ proposals backed by buckets of sand ~
Governor Newsom, their phony front-man

Yellow browns with golden flakes
Floating down from the sky
An Autumn rain from heaven
Crackling when, upon the ground
Crunching when walked on
Winds and rain releasing them
From branches they once lay
Colors gleaning from the trees
Now bare waiting for springtime
Leaving the snow a place to lay upon
With buds hiding in wait for spring
Opening with all colors of green
A new Beginning of life to fall once again
The cycle of life right before the eye
Yet all we see are dead leaves

We was tired and hungry on a winter's day
They sent their realtor down to try and drive us away
We was sittin ducks for the cable man
I found my wife digging through a garbage bag
And I'm alone
Loading my trailer
Wondering if I am
Dead or Alive
Broken up, dirty and dressed in rags
From the day our realtor told us pack your bags
I sent my wife to Lowe's in her little truck
She called me up and said you outta luck
And I'm alone
Emptying my trailer
Wondering if I am
Dead or Alive

I got a phone call from the police
saying I was dead
That was news to me,
getting shot four times in the head
Within the hour the rumor had spread,
hey, did you hear about Fred
They thought Freddie was dead,
Freddie was dead
DOA was what the police report said
They thought Freddie was dead,
Freddie was dead
DOA was what the news report said
I hope you never lose your driver's license,
the one without the photo ID
A criminal could become you, technically
Mistaken identity
can give you and your family
a whole lot of stress
A causeless calamity
is something we can all agree
creates an awful mess
So if you ever get a wrong phone call,
telling you that you died that day
Missing your own funeral is perfectly okay

If I possess a living soul
Let it fill my life's frugal bowl:
And mix elixirs' grand design,
To give me peace before my time:
Give me intellect to inspire,
To always be one to admire,
And if my breath will breathe for naught,
'Ere the cause of death; a love clot.

afterward no talk
you came with your cold collarbone
pushing your own barrow
if it's money you want
why not work the streets
cutting corners won't cut it
in the emotive sphere
relationships won't last
where deception rules
cogs click into one another
up a gear and under a cloud
where the angel dust
lingers on your
stiff upper lip
all that remains is
cold sweat and
afterward no talk.

Trying to bring life back ~
Back, into a deadoned Soul....
D.O.A., I heard the doctor say
Deaf, dumb and blind?!
Their mother cried, their mother replied
From their birth; welcome to this earth....
Said the nurse, as she smiled
What a beautiful child; eyes black as night
Eyes without sight!?
A tiny heart beating, beating
But so very cold....
This tiny child, with a deadoned Soul ~
D.O.A., I heard the doctor say
Stand clear, two thousand years
A prophecy foretold; a prophecy unfolds?!
Trying to bring life, back
Into a world so cold....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I heard the Doctor say, stand clear ~
I've arrived...
D.O.A.
There wasn't much I could say,
Had I passed my final day?
Had I faced my final goal?
Not quite,
For for me D.O.A.
Merely means
Dumb Old *******.
