                   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Discovering God doesn't bear broad browsing
He's all over on Earth's orbit or cosmic orbs
He is not an allusion or scarce
Faith is a notion that God conflates with spirit
Life is a cynosure; we should not deviate
Fulfill kismet, will balmily distaff nemesis
God is love, auric values lighten others' lives
He is present as a gentle breeze sways palm fronds
He hears the soft rainfall on homeless tin roofs
In gloom, He watches ants swarming on ivory stone
Seek Him in the joyful gaze of a child
Or in the fragrance of blooming orchids
Or as you comfort a grieving friend
He is present at the first cry of a baby
And the last breath of a dying man
He is there as waves crash onto dazzling coasts
And as seagulls soar across vast white skies
Seek God as you bite into a ripe mango
Or as coconut juice quenches your thirst
The divine manifests in subtle forms.
Premium MemberSoft Murmurings
Like an avian roosting when his cawing has spilled,
I mourn in grief as this shadowed night grows cold
Crushed and grieving from promises unfulfilled
Sorrow burgeons my heart, in bitterness enfold
like unspun wool on a distaff or a poem not quilled
I am overwhelmed with fear; somberly weeping
beneath my rowan tree. In dour thoughts, I dwell
Wisps of silver moonlight cross the sky, sweeping,
signaling hope in darkness, as if it were a death knell
In my den, I feel protected; sanctuary of safe-keeping
My troubled eyes are in search of benevolence anew
For faith and courage instead of such dismal dread
How I long to take flight, trading grey skies for blue
to locate a paradise where happiness can be spread
sharing a drink of wassail; fruited ale of sweet brew
I shall swiftly soar among shining stars at great height
Fluttering my wings on journeyed path of poetic volition
Never again to be lost and alone on any mawkish night
No shadows holding me in their melancholy perdition
for I've learned how to ignite flames of lambent light
Premium MemberStudying Bunny Footprints In Snow
The lone wolf was in a grouchy, grumpy, hungry mood
Snow rabbits were much faster than he remembered
He studied their hop slides in the frosty snow
These rabbit's foot marks were diminishing as he studied them
When did rabbits get so fast? He asked his wife.
Her distaff side of the family would have laughed at this.
Female wolves are better hunters, and they all knew it.
Lone wolf had a let's-save-face epiphany.
Maybe the rabbits let you catch them, he suggested.
His mate gave him a slow side look. She knew better.
The waning footsteps sparkled like rhinestones in the moonlight.
I hunt better in the spring, he told his wife, convincing no one.
Flagstaff
There once was a small young man from Flagstaff
Whose girl said he was too short by one half.
He devised plan giving others great laugh
For with big grin
His stilts did win
The hand of this beautiful blond distaff
Commencement Vote
That composition's dispose of consent
so validation's placement of content
the turf of undeniable distaff ~
complacency ~ that nothing's turning . . . flat!
What time be errant, as a scoffing's path,
forever scolding, no change, favored last,
no vote, no compromise, arguing's math
decision's intervention, lags with wrath!
I cast the lot, ascension so comprise
in legislative searching, legal draft
one summaries allegation, senses staff
concerns Republic ration ~ must not half!
That values intimation forms enact
the source of restoration, rightful save
that now, be resurrected from it's grave
and brought to constitution, not enslave!
Cope heartily with creation, open, have
with in each Season's bounty, we commence
as thus in love, our merit Godly, ask
the countenance of justice, to the task!
The balance of our virtue, still contrasts
while all our enmity further . . . moves too fast!
Tiresias
The man who spurned two love-wrought snakes
   In reptilian copulation
      The blind seer, auspicious he
   And his clairvoyant recitation.
Born a male and died a man
   But for committing a transgression,
      Lived some years on the distaff side
   In a feminine intercession.
At the moral of the auger's tale,
   The head, interspecting, nods:
      We should take an active role
   In abiding by the gods.
Whomever a Woman Chooses Is King
Whomever a woman chooses is the king.
No table round will ever square the thing.
All knights have equal access to the bread,
Even the stout are adequately fed;
Each squire gets equal pay for equal knighting.
Then Guinevere unsheathes the distaff lightning,
Uncoils her hair, so lustrous and inciting,
Plumps her lips with a berry crushed and red.
Whomever a woman chooses is the king.
Pendragon is ostensibly the.King.
And normally he doesn't miss a thing.
But Lancelot is naked in his bed
And Guinevere is humping him instead.
"No man above another" has a ring.
Whomever a woman chooses is the king.
Leadership's Cup
The treadmill of dissension causing force,
'twas not my earmark, not my focused gain.
A wound inflicted does not heal the source
but only suffers definition as the stain!
So thank you, Lord, the hurt you took away,
not just my own to bear, nor that of prey.
The wounds I did not cause, the words I say,
the hurt with its emboss, the needless gray -
In leadership's contend, the soul's distaff
does take the cup, as seeking some amend,
within the lips to burnish fate's foul wrath,
as drinking yet ... my enemies befriend!
Labor
That grinding fallacy of stay
thee nearby once, now gone astray.
In spectrum numbering, narrowed gray
resolve considerations way!
And so remorse, my severance pay
does fill my soul - and every day.
This labor lost, love's own heresay
has felt its cost from disarray!
Dissention's volley floods distaff,
arraignment lone still merits quaff,
as negative impulse ignorance laughs
demeaning's lumbering true ranks half.
And so my love, labor's behalf
in justice scroll, while thee try last!
Past
Comparing lost horizons to distaff,
my heart above conclusion, only laugh -
As boundless as some creatures slated path
were thee and I forever, as all last.
Consigning time, man's foolishness takes bath
just knowing of demeanor, souls find draft.
As mind-sets take thy virtue, thee relapse
to thy full meaning's sensing thy behalf.
So further still, life's sunset runs a'mast
thus thee, while steering time -
. . . thy ship floats past!
