The World's Most Destructive Chemical Experiment

The feel of a touch,
the sound of a cry,
the joy of hello,
the sorrow of
goodbye.

We entangle, we combine
we fall apart -
but in the end,
we get up and
we try, try, try,

to form a connection
that doesn't end in absence.

It all ends
for those already absent.

Be present,
if not for others,
then for yourself.

Your girl forever

Dress a girl a letter,
Printing numbers on her back.
Buy her flowers,
Give her powers,
Wrapping poison round her neck.
One day she’ll leave you,
She’ll deceive you,
And you’ll be better off dead.

So, you won’t get far with that head
Unless you break your neck

And yet you still ask to the sun
If the moon has won,
If the war has really ended
Or it's just begun.

So you’ll dress a girl a letter,
And print numbers on her neck.
Steal her powers,
Buy her flowers,
Say she’s better off dead.

Oh, you’ll deceive her,
But believe her,
When she’s messing with your head.
Ignore the blood beneath her nails ,
because you pay for them instead.

But the wars already won,
It was done and fun,
You were caught between a victory, a romance and a gun.

So when you pull your head together from the cracks beneath the earth
Steal her flowers
She’s deflowered
Push her back against the world
The war was won
And you are done
You are both swimming in your hurt

And then your hand reached for the gun.

Destructive Solitude

One foot stuck in the tar pits of my way,
A fossil forming with time,
Me and my nibbling conscience,
Sinking slowly but it’s mine,
Whispers like razors,

It’s trouble, the way that i’m jogging
Chasing shadows far into the night,
Every step a hopeless confession,
Nothings going save me or stop it,

A runaway rhythm,
The horizon taunts, distant but sure,
But my feet only know forward,
Seeing everything through my stained glass,
Too afraid I can only hope it will pass.

If you think climate change destructive

As powerful as the forces of nature are,
There will be humans who adapt an survive,
Until balance is restored in the eco-system.

The wind can calm itself,
Water will recede from flooded areas,
New growth comes after volcanos become dormant,
Fires will burn themselves out,
Earthquakes only result in better building techniques,
Ensuring more people survive them,
And even if mankind through ignorance and greed,
Gives these forces a helping hand,
To destroy the earth,
We now have the means to move to other places
In the universe.

There is however another force that dwells inside humans themselves,
That can do what the forces of nature combined cannot,
And goes wherever humans go,
The name we give to this force, is REVENGE.

And there is only one power that can possible dissipate it,
Before it wipes out the human race,
And that is the power of prayer,
Which is the only power that can trump revenge,
With Forgiveness,
And unconditional Love.

Premium Member Global Warming

The windows are boarded up in preparation for the storm
A weather event of this intensity is becoming the norm
Global warming continues to find a way to rule the day
For the planet to survive we must all strive to do things in a different way
If we could just drive a little less, recycle a little more, or just plant a tree
A collective effort would certainly help I am sure we all agree
Severe floods are leading to an increase in airborne diseases
Intense hurricane winds are far more destructive than just a gentle breeze
Droughts are far more frequent with soaring temperatures ruling the day
Making it even more difficult for our children to go out and play
Carbon dioxide levels up twenty-five percent in the last sixty-five years
A stark reminder if we do not change our planet will slowly disappear

Self Destructive

I'm self destructive a ticking time bomb
I'm impatient and impulsive with a lot of feelings
Mixed into a delicious cocktail so sweet and creamy
sure does taste good at first but after so many sips of me
I'm too intense for you too heavy on you
now you put me down thinking I'm not good for you
you say baby its not you its me but I know all too well

"baby its not you its me" says my anxiety sarcastically
My heart cries as my brain just stands there and watches

Now I'm just half drunk and feeling empty
Like u took something from me
Now I'm here wishing you could pour back into me
Like you needed me, when I ruined it
Now your just a lesson when i look back at it

Selective Memory's Destructive Power

Through the fog of time, memories fade,
Selectively, they dance, a masquerade.
They choose the fragments, both light and dark,
A tapestry woven with a heartless spark.

Tenderness vanishes, like morning dew,
Only scars remain, vivid and true.
Forgetting laughter, joy, and embrace,
Selectivity memory breeds a barren space.

A weapon disguised in forgetful guise,
Tearing apart bonds with venomous lies.
Selective memory, a double-edged sword,
Both protector and destroyer, to its own accord.

Addicted

Afraid of letting go
Destruction I have caused
Damaging my body
Illegal behavior
Convincing myself it’s okay
Toxic life choices
Estranged I have become
Denying the truth

That I am Addicted.

Holy Destructive

She gathers her child
With switch in hand
To hurt her bottom
Til she understands
...obedience

He places a needle in vein
Just to end the pain
...of knowing

They monitor every move
Waiting for a crack to appear
The Kingpin moves with ease
Confident they will hear
...and tremble in fear

Good God Almighty sits on His throne
Watching them fly their drone
...smack dab in HOME

...............declaring HOLY has left you ALONE

..............................delighting in your destruction
