It happened on a rainy night
As I walked out....
........... and she walked in
I alone possessed the paper
As she retained the only pen
Oh, the poetry we could have written
And the stories we might create
If she arrived a minute early
Or I departed, a little late

She sought shelter form the weather
As I ran to to catch the bus
Instead of loving life together
Loneliness was meant for us
They say that Love never fails
I would like to think they're right
But it was lost in just a moment
Once upon a rainy night.

Premium Member Wounded Whisper

Soft sibilance departed a while past now;
lost in family, familiarity,
an indiscretion.

Soulless silence interposes churlish crows.
The weightiness of strangled screams hangs heavy
deafening the two.

Whisper; wounded, slain.

Bees and Ants

Two Brothers departed a concrete world
Of hurried horns hallowing a rat-race rule
Babbling crystal streams countered by camel grunts
Led the way to calloused palms.
And in that breath of honest air.
The Bees and Ants hailed us faor.

Under shy shimmering stars in a field of pitch black.
In the crisp, crunch of forest soil,
Dawned upon by feet so bare,
Of gemmed cobweb bridges naturally built,
And the scarlet sky of rain and rakhal reprise
The Bees and Ants welcomed our sighs.

In Yellow hands stained by turmeric pure,
The freshest butter met the freshest bread,
And sugarcane rain drenched
Honey mansions of a thousand rooms,
As mudded walls shielded fragile hay,
The Bees and Ants asked us to stay.

But decades of toxic sprays, commercial plagues,
The greed and ghosts of governed ways,
Tortured our mother in many minds
Two brother spent a thousand days,
Two brothers in an agricultural maze,
To show Bees and Ants an organic way.

Enter Through a Dream

Enter through a dream..
Saturated in my dreamstate..
Sights and sounds intensified
An unknown reality that unfolds..

Continuation of my dream..
I fly through multi dimensions..
Flying effortlessly..
Soaring like an eagle high in other realms..
Departed a world of boundaries
Had entered..
Unlimited realms..
Set free..
Sparks of illuminating energies..
Ignited a combustion of bliss..
Like a social butterfly flapping beautiful wings..
I become..
Interactions with other beings of pure light..
Scenic views of indescribable exquisteness..
Vivid azzure skies
The beauty of nature on steroids..
Intensified to the maximum..

Entered through a dream..
Through my own intension..
Through my awareness..
A spiritual awakened soul I am..

Encased in corruption white and frail mocking life!

it travels within on our journey in strife, and though

feeling its form with each move that we make we

blindside the presence and statement it makes!we

gaze on the form and connotate to beauty, yet its

end is apparant forbidding indeed! once departed a

shell its inheritance dust, and therewith possesion

derision and lust!

written cirica 1991, for Paula Swansons contest (now i'm out)
of retirement! well sort of.

My Baby

Pain departed a sacred portion of human flash.
A devout detortion and flamboyant living dash.
Flagrant flaunt impregnate impish liege slash.
Slanderous sleave and pitiable pithecanthrope,
Pishogue sagacious mistranslated pish a girl rash.

The Promises of Angel Wings

A soul departed, a life unlived
And yet, a heart still beats
Despite their best attempts,
A death, this person cheats.

They escape with just a mark on their wrist
But a tragedy on their heart
Living in the aftermath of survival
Is really just the start.

It gets worse as time moves on
And this person drifts away
As one wise poet tells us,
"Nothing gold can stay."

Not all memories can last forever
This young girl doesn't want to at all
She doesn't want to travel on into life
She refuses every letter, e-mail, and phone call.

She delves deeper into herself
And her once golden heart turns black
That's all that remains of this once-beautiful girl
Her soul is what she lacks.

The end of the road for this child
Comes sooner than many wish to believe
She takes her own life and leaves behind
The promises of angel wings.
