No chocolates, no flowers, no sweet Valentine's treat,
Just the bitter taste of defeat.
No cuddles, no kisses, no romance so grand,
Because, darling, you just couldn't handle this hand.
I'm a whirlwind, a hurricane, a chaotic delight,
Too much spice for your palate, too dazzlingly bright.
You wanted a calm sea, a gentle breeze' sigh,
But I'm a volcano, erupting to the sky.
I dance in the rain, I laugh at the storm,
While you sought shelter, keeping perfectly warm.
You craved serenity, a predictable pace,
But I'm a rollercoaster, a wild, thrilling chase.
So no chocolates, no flowers, no Valentine's Day cheer,
Just a solo celebration, with a metaphorical beer
.
Because darling, while you couldn't handle my flair,
There's someone out there who will, I swear!
They'll embrace the chaos, the glitter, the glee,
And find my wild spirit, the best part of me.
So farewell, my love, it's time to move on,
To someone who'll join my crazy dawn.

Perfect day
Windy, warm
Families crowd onto the lawn
Above Fisherman's Beach
Prams, dogs, wheelchairs
Giggling youngsters
Parents saying, "Look up!"
Cameras capture glee
Big blue whale
Wafting
Above several sharks out of water
A scuba diver twirling below
Knots and nylon twine
Fluttering ribbons and tails
Happy kids everywhere
Mums, Dads holding tight
A plethora of little diamonds
Soaring
Brilliant colours glint in grey skies
A giant octopus
Two Tiger Moths; pilots adrift
Like astronauts, space walking
A prancing purple tailed horse
A dazzlingly intricate, spinning snake
And several beautiful butterflies

you’re bright
so dazzlingly, overwhelmingly bright;
you’re the sun that sears the sky and
all the earth can only stare
i want to hold you
to cup you in my hands
to feel your warmth between my
palms and see your light run through my fingers
for the rest of my life, i want to have you with me
to warm away the winter chill and light up the night
but it hurts-
it hurts too much to bear
the you who burns brighter than the sun— who burns
my eyes with your shine— the you who hurts
too much to hold
i can’t ever have you in my life
i want to avert my eyes
to forget your light
but you’re just so bright
you’re too brilliant-
i can’t ever look away

Devotional devotees dazzlingly delight
At an amazing aurora’s star of abiding light;
You’re yawl-like year-round of Yahweh’s areole-sight,
Starlight of sunshine, starlight in splendid night,
Twinkling tirelessly ‘til the thickest tip of twilight;
Ardent acclamations in our hearts arise…alight,
Reuniting us in rejoicing with reverence in thy rite!

I am sure she is awake from her nap, my daughter said.
I ran up to get her; she is two and dazzlingly beautiful.
She is my granddaughter, Molly Mackenzie Cat.
I changed her pants and brought her downstairs.
After her snack I gave her the toy I had brought.
She was not any more interested than a light fixture.
She will find something to play with, my daughter assured me.
Molly crawled over to a shoebox and pulled out some tissue paper.
She giggled as she shook it and ripped it.
Acted like it was the most fascinating thing she had ever seen.
I marveled that something so simple can entertain a two-year-old.
Next time I will bring her a box with a couple of crackers.

paint on her fingers
glitter on her nose
five-year-old playing
kneading and claying
Auntie know her heart
they’re not long apart
joyful lovely day
oozing cares away
art is in their souls
happiness the goal
a creative flare
laughter in the air
they garner a smile
loving all the while
woes are put aside
ideas on full glide
new art has begun
atmosphere of fun
dazzlingly wise
adventure on rise
they build an art wall
show off in the hall
cleverness on display
everything done their way

She invited me to see her dresser; she was featuring snakes on it.
They are marvelous- attractive, shiny, glitzy, delightful, she said.
I avoided the unveiling for six months, not fond of snakes.
Then I saw it, and it was the most glamorous dresser I had ever seen.
How much are you selling this for? I asked her.
She smiled at me with a wide smile. “I am never selling that one, it is mine.”
It truly is absolutely dazzlingly gorgeous!

Letting go of the Darkness
By Michelle Morris
27/07/2020
Don't be afraid of the
Darkness in your heart or the
Demons that torture your soul...
Accept it.
Embrace it.
Face it.
Converse with it.
Breathe with it...
Then breathe in
And breathe out...
Slowly regain your equilibrium.
Focus on letting go of the
Darkness and demons within...
Then, focus on the light -
Letting it back in...
For light is where you started
Amongst the stars...
From galaxies of
Dazzling brilliance born...
You are not meant to
Stay in the darkness...
Thank it for the lessons learned
And let it go with
Blessings, love and light...
You are a child of light...
And being dazzlingly brilliant
Is your birthright...

If my usual wasn't so ordinary
And didn't span great feats of generic
It may just be shy of extraordinary
A mediocrity so bland I'm hysteric
Enormity in normalcy's highest gear
Worked out so hard and never got abs
Without an ear my regular cannot hear
I'm the base tested against in labs
An everyday, workaday, 10 of a kind
Fantastically, head over heels habitual
Frequency, ooze from me, for oddness I pined
This middle of the road, uniform fool
An average in math I lack sum of the fun
My highest point is the peak of just typical
If my usual started with "un", not a prefix of none
This run of the mill status is biblical
I'm routinely symmetrical time and again
Burst at the seams in familiarity
A dullery so wild it verges on zen
Like a quietness without any clarity
I've searched the great depths of the known
Looked for an in but found not a trace
For my explicable or scrutable down to the bone
Destined to be dazzlingly commonplace.

Awed by the hypnotic sound and melody
of your gold-toned harmony
requested a single flower
as a memento of
your lyrical mysticism
yet, you brought on a tide of bliss
melodious birdsong, peaceful psalms
in an exquisite tangerine blush shade
speckled beauty adorns the stems
dazzlingly, in a blaze of golden splendor
blossom delightfully
lulled by the soothing tunes of hazel tales
shades play gracefully in motion
chase dreams of a faraway rainbow
gold bright throbs pulsating heart of a king
emitting flaming thrums of ariose spring moods.

Death of a loved one
Fifty-five years! More or less! I did not know, then,
How, to your adieu, o mother, I said Amen;
Later, like the ache of an amputated limb,
Existence, like a gloom-glaring jail cell, grew grim...!
I know, from the frail earthen pitcher of physique,
Your soul, O my mother, that, for long, was homesick;
Had taken its flight far from this interim earth,
And amalgamated into the endless mirth...!
It's not due to doubts about your life eternal,
Nor the chance of being a creature infernal;
Your passing through the gateway of naked newness,
Is as clear as crystal to me, though seems clueless…!
Tingles of your touches tinged into tenderness,
Turned too into touch-me-not of tentativeness;
Your existence in me is a continuum,
It's not a cloudy chemical residuum...!
I know your death is not a dark dusk but a dawn,
Designs of resurrection are dazzlingly drawn;
Ignorance that ignites the minds with illusion,
Fails to form fundamentally free faith fusion...!!!

Autumn's super moon is dazzlingly bright,
The Earth Princess views the super in a milky light.
Seasonal joy fills the poet's soul and cunning,
Clad in green, the landscape is rather stunning.
God made the moon and the brain the same way,
One side is clever, while the other is a dark display.
As yet, this upbeat side is still in prevailing sight
If one disregards the darkness, he is all right.
By virtue of its best features, the moon, and mind,
Inspire all living creatures on Earth with your kind.
Greens, mammals, flowers, people, and ecology,
We are thrilled by the moon and life's company.
Everyone gains widespread joyful calmness,
Water swells in the arch mimicking politeness.
Incidentally, they view, that the lily comes from the brain,
Fall is marked by joy and pretty blooms and birds again.

She was born with one tiny stem at the top of her head.
Is that a curl? Rude people asked her faerie parents.
They were not sure but would have rather it had been ignored.
By age two she had oak and maple leaves growing on her skull cap.
Is she a faerie or a tree? Grandmas and Grandpas asked her parents.
Mother said,, “We don’t know yet,” but her father gave them the eye.
By age five, her leaves were dazzlingly beautiful in color and shape.
Her friends did not question her look; it was just her way.
When she became a young woman, many people began to ask again.
She gave them a smile but did not reply.
For it was actually no one else’s business.
